This hotel has a 5 star rating and as such charges 5 star prices but in reality you can get much better for less. The rooms are a good size and the housekeeping staff are excellent but that’s where it stops. The bar staff are disinterested and slow, charging top dollar for very poor cocktails just makes you go looking elsewhere. The breakfast is an absolute “bun fight” from the time you tell them your room number it’s everyman for himself, you have to find your own table, get your own coffee, ask for dirty plates to be cleared. The breakfast choices are very average and the male wait staff rude and negligent. If you have a choice choose not to purchase your breakfast here.
Great attention of room service, specially from Mrs. Smiljia who whas veey kind and caring throughout my stay in this beautiful hotel. Thank you very much for the incredible time I spent with the staff.
Our tour group stayed here on our last night in Croatia and we wished it could have been longer than one night. I is just a nice nice hotel with classic rooms and lovely bathroom. Lobby is opulent and large.
Functional hotel on all counts except for their breakfast buffet. Food is ok but seating is a free for all and when busy it’s a bit of a nightmare. They either need more tables or a traffic cop assigning tables from a queue.
The Zagreb Sheraton is just what you want when overseas sometimes. It's a hotel where you know what you are going to get and is a good quality hotel. We stayed there our first couple days of our Croatian/Slovenian vacation and it was perfect to help us get acclimated and overcome jet lag. The location was within walking distance of the main portions of Zagreb that we wanted to see, staff was friendly and responsive and the hotel was quiet. The beds were a bit hard but otherwise it was comfortable. Definitely a good place for a few nights. Safe travels!
After a week of staying in local hotels the Sheraton was a sight for sore eyes. Big beautiful bed. Hot shower. The only downside here is room lighting. There’s no overhead light.?? Made it extremely difficult to read. Breakfast was great with real oj . Supper plentiful. Nothing great but not bad. I’d stay here again.
My sister & I travelled to Croatia in Sept. 2019. We started and ended our trip at the Sheraton Zagreb Hotel, which was just wonderful. Exceptionally helpful staff, a wonderful room with the most comfortable beds on our entire trip, and best showers!. We arrived very early, about 9 AM after flying all night from California. We were exhausted, and the staff was so wonderful to prepare a room for us so we could rest before we started our tour. The room was amazing! We were upgraded on both the beginning and end of our trip which was a wonderful surprise. Breakfast was very good, as were the fine dining and café. They even had Happy Hour for cake! What a great country! They are located within a 10-15 min walk to downtown, the farmer's markets, museums and beautiful parks. If you're adventurous there is a bus stop right at the hotel. The bus loops around the city and you can go anywhere from there. Everyone at the hotel spoke English, as in most of Croatia. We never had any language problem. Oh and they deliver chocolates every evening to our door! Who does that??? So cool! We were in Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro & Bosnia for 19 days, 2 weeks of which was a tour. The Sheraton was the best hotel by far of our entire trip. For some reason showers are a challenge in this part of the world. There is this tiny glass partition on the tub that does nothing to keep water from going all over the bathroom. My sister flooded the bathroom in Bled, which was a horrible mess. The Sheraton was the only hotel we stayed at that had a decent shower in our entire trip. It was such a relief to get back to it. We stayed another 2 days at the end of our tour just to unwind and spend a little more time in Zagreb. Getting to and from the airport was very easy. Our cab driver on the return trip at the end of our tour was great and arranged to pick us up at 5 AM for our flight home. Such an amazing country as well as hotel. I highly recommend the Sheraton and a visit to Croatia!
Recently spent 3 nights in this great hotel whilst touring northern Croatia. Room was ideal, great size, incredibly comfortable bed and good full size bath in the bathroom. All staff were efficient and friendly. Only down side was the restaurant at breakfast time. Food was fine but there were far more people than the restaurant could hold at any one time and waiting staff struggled to cope, especially when more than one tour group was departing. Each day became more chaotic! It is ideally centrally located for exploring this very interesting city and we would certainly stay again.
We stayed here briefly and found hotel staff to be friendly hosts. The room was clean and the bed comfortable but nothing special. The buffet breakfast and related service was outstanding and should be part of your planning. A parking garage is avaliable beneath the hotel which is also a nice plus.
Hi held many meetings and educations in Sheraton. It is a great 5* hotel. Great service, especially Mr. Slavko from the restaurant, very pleasant service, great atmosphere, very clean, great lunch, chef is very talented and makes any meal great. Staff is very friendly and always ready to help in any matter. I am stayinh here for years and definetly for many years more. I am very satisfaied with Sheraton.
