Hotel is lovely. It is located in the pedestrian zone, so you had to walk a bit, and there’s no elevator, other than that five stars.

This is the ideal place to stay in Zagreb, especially if you plan to visit the museums and Christmas Markets. The staff was super helpful. They let me check in early and helped arrange a taxi for my ride to the airport. Since my flight left so early they even packed me breakfast to go! The ambiance of the hotel is wonderful too...festive and elegant. My one complaint is that the bathroom smelled a bit stinky. Keeping the door shut helped a lot. Hope to be back again!

This is an excellent hotel in the heart of Zagreb. The staff is friendly & helpful. The location is in easy walking distance to all of the sights. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was recommended on Trip Advisor and in Lonely Planet's book on Croatia. I was happy to be able to book a room and received a very nice confirmation mail with instructions to the parking. Upon arrival we were given a room and soon discovered that the airconditioning was not working properly. The staff was considerate and moved us to a different room. We went out, came back and had a rest. We woke up to stifling heat as the air conditioning in the second room also wasn't working. At that point my husband had enough - it was 30 degrees Centigrade that day and no airconditioning wasn't going to cut it. We were told we must be charged for the room, and we protested this as we certainly arrived and intended to stay, but the lack of air conditioning made cancellation something we did not think we should be responsible for. The reception desk spoke with the hotel owner, who sent again a technician to check and see that the aircon was definitely not working. He waived the charge for the room. While the staff and owner were really very nice and tried hard to make our stay workable, and were very reasonable about the cancellation, I really cannot recommend the hotel based on the fact that their airconditioners are very old. At the rates charges by this hotel they really should be able to put some additional funding into upkeep and ensure that newer and more efficient airconditioners are installed in their rooms. Until that time, I cannot in all honesty recommend

Excellent hotel with charming ambiance and excellent helpful staff. Only issue for some might be stairs and pedestrian only area so taxis not near entrance (although trolley goes right by hotel). Free parking lot for hotel a 5 minute walk away.

Driving into Zagreb can be a frustrating experience due to many pedestrianized and one-way streets. Had I re-read the e-mail sent to us detailing how to park our car FIRST in ghrir offsite parking area and THEN walking to the hotel, I would have saved ourselves a heap of grief. Once situated, however, the place is a delight. Calm, tastefully decorated, with an attentive staff at the front desk, the breakfast area, and the bar, the Jägerhorn is the kind of hotel one eould wish to find in all major cities. We loved it!
