Highly recommended. SPA & Wellness area offers everything you need to relax and we were very impressed by the design and furnishings. Gastronomy is at the highest level and offers finest Mediterranean cuisine. The staff is very friendly and competent, meet almost all wishes. Leisure activities and pools complete the perfect day. 5 stars well deserved.
Good, quiet location to the west of Zadar. Large grounds and extensive beach with plenty of loungers and shade. Good extensive spa and pools. Staff are attentive and welcoming. Rooms are light and airy. Limited sea view from some that are identified as seaview.
The Spa in this hotel is very impressive, probably the best I've seen in Europe! That alone would make for a recommendation (for those who appreciate spas), but there is much more: the employees are very friendly (a great thank you to Miroslav the maitre d' and Angelo at the pool bar, both really nice people who solved our problems) and the rooms are beautiful. it was worth paying the extra cash to have the view of the wonderful Adriatic sea. We spent a week from 14 to 21 September and loved every moment. The beds were very comfortable, but the pillows were not. A hotel of this quality should have a bigger choice of pillows for guests with sensitive necks. The food was generally very good but not perfect: the bread at breakfast was always soft, never crunchy (is it because of the humidity?), and there was no oatmeal porridge. There was however a great choice of cold cuts for those who like meat and several types of yoghurt, jams, cheeses, etc. For dinner sometimes food was excellent (the lobsters and langoustines were very welcome!), other times less so. The meat and fish always tended to be undercooked (this might have been the reason I caught a gastric bug - but I don't want to point any fingers. Could have been another cause). Some average wines were extremely highly priced and the desserts were very "international", which means generally colourful but not very interesting. These are the only down points. Everything else was perfect, including the gardens, the beach, the constant welcome feeling one got from the staff. We will be back!
We stayed here on a three night weekend break from Ireland. The hotel is immaculately clean, extremely modern and full of good facilities. A fantastic bedroom, an amazing spa and beautiful seaside location were exactly what we were seeking. Prices for food and drink in the hotel and nearby steak and seafood restaurants were actually reasonable for a five star hotel. The spa is absolutely amazing! Having daytime drinks at the seafood restaurant is a must. Also, lying on the sun loungers left down by the rocks and slipping in and out of the sea was amazing. We will go back :)
Great hotel outstanding sea view - outstanding location You should make sure to get a sea view room - the "park side" view could be disappointing (construction area) However a very good hotel - it's worth beeing there!
Well....what can I say? This Hotel just gets better with every stay. As always, we received a very warm welcome from Goran and his staff. We were so delighted to have been given an upgrade to our favourite view...sunsets that dreams are made of, every night!! We had fresh fruit left as a gift, along with fresh bottled water every day...and Carlos, as always, greeted us with a big smile and 2 glasses of Prosecco!! The room was spotless, with a "bath with a view" ... and, as always, a super comfy bed amd a pillow menu. Miroslav and his staff greeted us warmly for dinner every night. We always go Half Board as the dinners and breakfasts are fantastic. The omelette station at breakfast will make any omelette/egg type of your choice...with truffle if you fancy it!! The chilled Prosecco at breakfast is also part of the magic of escaping the world for a week. We enjoyed the pools and the beach by day, and the fabulous Spa in the evenings.I had a wonderful back massage...so relaxing that I fell asleep...bliss!! I also enjoyed Aqua aerobics every few days...the guy is a Personal Trainer and he worked us hard....great fun! One of our highlights was a Sunset Cruise to Zadar and back, with Fizz and nibbles.......thankyou so much, Goran....it was a truly memorable trip , and we loved it. If you are thinking of coming to stay in this Hotel, you will have the best Holiday ... every thing about it is designed to make you feel relaxed...it says Welcome Home...and we do....every year!! Once again, Goran, you and your staff have a huge cheer from us!! I can't wait for trip number 6 next year.😎🌞💖💖
This is one of many hotels on a large secluded property about 15 minutes from Zadar. The pool was large and breathtaking. The hotel advertises itself as five star but four star is more realistic. The rooms are small. The balconies are nice but most of the time they are directly in the sun with no shade and too hot to be on. Food offerings are average and food is only served at selected times of the day with snacks offered at other times. If one likes to eat outside the usual schedule, one would have to go to Zadar to eat which is 15 minutes away. Trips to Zadar are not cheap and no shuttle service is provided. It seems to cater to those who strictly want a beach resort and are fine eating at the usual prescribed times.
Wonferfull sea, very good atmosphere, the biggest spa i have ever see good quality of the restaurant, all the staff was very kindly. you have to dinner at the Bracera restaurant at the susnset. we will return ...
Arrived late last night, receptionist really efficient. Bellboy was good albeit a few minutes late. Even parked the car which is much appreciated. We slept ok and the kids liked having a comfortable bed. Breakfast was great. Egg Benedict worth the ten minute wait time. Fresh juices, crepes delicious, French toast tasty. Not sure though if maple syrup is 100%. Comparing with hotels in Dubrovnik, still needs lots of improvements for this price range. Looking forward to SPA treatments this afternoon and Thai massage!
Located on the tip of the coastline, the Falkensteiner is appropriately secluded and private for a spa hotel with great views and a lovely private beach. The spa facilities are varied with plenty of choice of treatments available and a selection of pools. The breakfast buffet offered a lot of choice and the evening meal we had in one of the restaurants was delicious. The bar in the main atrium was nice and relaxing and the staff were very friendly. The room itself was worthy of a 5* hotel, being very spacious, well laid out and beautifully decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable and the furniture all high-quality. The little touches were very welcome too - a pillow menu, beach bags and complimentary water. We wished we could have stayed for longer.
