The Space:

Hermosa is a beautifully updated new-age ranch home that marries bright, calming design with warm Western touches inspired by the region’s rich cowboy heritage. Subtle rustic notes, curated art, and nods to desert frontier style blend seamlessly with clean lines, wood accents, and gallery walls, creating a space that’s both stylish and soulful. Natural light fills the spacious interior, highlighting textures like the brick (non-operational) fireplace and the thoughtful décor. The atmosphere is designed for reconnection, relaxation, and making memories, from leisurely morning breakfasts together to nights enjoying the endless amenities around the house.



-Outdoor Amenities-

Step outside and embrace the high desert’s magic. The private backyard features an inviting in-ground pool (pool heating available for an extra fee) and above-ground hot tub, perfect for refreshing dips or evening soaks beneath star-studded skies. Gather around the poolside fire pit, sway in hanging hammock chairs, or enjoy long outdoor meals on the covered patio. With 1.4 acres, there’s abundant room to roam, play games, and enjoy wide-open desert vistas. Sunsets and starry nights feel especially special from this spacious, private fenced back courtyard.

The living room blends moody comfort with subtle Wild West flair, pairing cozy textures with curated frontier-style accents. Sink into the plush sectional for movie nights on the huge smart TV, spin a record on the player, or settle at the piano as sunlight pours through large picture windows. With direct access to the backyard, the space transitions effortlessly between indoor relaxation and outdoor fun.



-Kitchen & Dining-

The chef-friendly kitchen is fully equipped with new appliances, generous counter space, and a breakfast bar with seating for five. Perfect for group cooking and long, leisurely meals, it connects seamlessly to the outdoor dining patio and is just steps from the pool table room. Whether celebrating a holiday, or enjoying a sunlit breakfast, this kitchen was made for bringing people together.



-Bedrooms & Bathrooms-

Hermosa offers three spacious bedrooms plus an additional guest casita with a separate entrance (Living Room 2 in photos), totaling 4 private spaces to sleep. The main home includes one king room, one queen room, and a room with two doubles, each spacious and serene. The guest casita includes a comfortable king bed and its own half bath. The primary suite features an ensuite bathroom, bay window, chaise lounge, sitting area, desk space, and private coffee bar with mini fridge. The other two bedrooms share a second full bathroom. The third bedroom and guest casita both also include desks, providing plenty of remote-work-friendly flexibility for groups. The guest casita also has a private coffee bar setup, making private mornings a breeze without needing to leave your own private suite. The primary bathroom features a luxury soaking tub, and both bathrooms feature towel warmers.

Guest Access:

Guests have full private access to the entire property. Please note that there are a few storage closets that are locked to guests that house supplies for the rental.

Hermosa is situated in a beautiful and tranquil area of south Yucca Valley, right against the border of Joshua Tree National Park. The neighboring homes are all on large lots, giving guests privacy during their stay.

Getting Around:

A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed. Hermosa is easily accessible from main roads, with nearby shops, restaurants, and Joshua Tree National Park just a short drive away. Plenty of on-site parking makes coming and going simple, whether you’re heading out for adventure or staying in to enjoy the property.



Other Things to Note:

-Fireplace-

Please note that the fireplace is non-operational and is not available for guest use.



-Pool Heating-

If you’d like the pool heated to 84°F (27°C), please let us know at least 24 hours before arrival. The pool must be heated for the entirety of your stay. Please note that due to the size of the pool, it requires significant energy to heat, and during winter months, the temperature may not exceed 84°F (27°C) even with heating.

-Pool & Hot Tub Service-

The pool and hot tub are serviced Thursdays, approximately between 9am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard.



-Dogs-

We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation if you are bringing dog(s) and how many, and we will adjust the price accordingly. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed.

-Desert Wildlife & Safety Tips-

The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it’s important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.



-Security Cameras-

There are security cameras next to the front door and facing the back pool area for security, insurance purposes, and in order to monitor the quantity of people and cars on the property, so we may ensure compliance with local ordinances. There are no security cameras inside.
