Rodeway Inn Yreka

Simple clean comfortable accommodations. Bed was missing a blanket, only had sheets and paper thin coverlet. Nighttime temps dipped below freezing so we froze as well because we don't like hot temperature bedrooms.

We travel regularly between So Cal and WA state, and the Rodeway Inn is where we always stay. It is a well-preserved, classic motor inn where we can park right in front of our room and get a good night's sleep. Harry is the friendly owner who knows us when we arrive, and we get a room that offers great value, has a refrigerator, microwave, and flat screen TV, and is clean and cozy. The continental breakfast is simple but adequate; if you want more for breakfast, take the money you've saved by staying here, go buy breakfast and you're still money ahead.

I have stayed her at least 10 times over the years and we love it. The price is great, the owners ar on staff and involved. The rooms are clean, and nice with a fridge and flat screens. The bathrooms are small because it is an older motel from the 60's. We will be back.

Older but nice and welcoming. Good value for the money. Took off a star for weak internet-had to sit outside room (106) to connect. Nice chairs on the porch to sit in; only trouble was that it was 30 degrees out that day. Other rooms may have more reliable connection. Nice folks.

We were very disappointed. My husband called in the morning of Oct 17th, shortly after we left Portland, OR to check on rates and availability. After getting the information, he told the front desk clerk we would be there later in the day. We arrived at 7:30pm, only to find out the office was "closed all day due to maintenance". Not once during the phone conversation did the front desk clerk mention the office was closed. We were very tired having travelled nearly 8 hours. We were wanting to relax and freshen up (shower) after the long drive. We ended up sleeping in our motor home in the hotel parking lot. We wont be trying that place again.

Good, clean, inexpensive place to stop for the night. We have stayed here twice, the last time was just like the first time. We arrived late, there was a pleasant man who got us checked in and went through the tv, wifi, etc. The motel is old, but it was clean and the walls between the rooms are block, so it is quiet. Breakfast is simple, cereal and milk, toast, yogurt, OJ, just enough to get you on your way basically. Would stay again if I needed a late night stop through the area.

The rooms are basic, very clean, and the beds are comfortable. The hot water was plentiful, the TV worked, and we were not disturbed by outside noises. The air conditioner is easy to reach, and easy to adjust. Harry, the manager, was patient and accommodating. We were traveling to Happy Camp for a funeral, and our hotel needs fluctuated. The continental breakfast was the usual fare, and the eating area small. There was a table and chairs outside the office and a picnic table behind the hotel. We chose to take our food back to our room which was fine. The hotel is easy to access, and, even though it is a little dated, it's clean, comfortable, and, the price is right. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

Picture this- you are traveling many miles, many hours on the Interstate and you just need a place to crash before driving for another day. This Rodeway Inn is barebones, with tiny rooms, packaged almost inedible muffins for breakfast and fits the bill. It is inexpensive. You can sleep, shower or shower then sleep, and be on the road quickly. There is free wifi and tv. Don't ask for coffee before 7 am though because it won't be ready yet.

The Rodeway Inn in Yreka, CA is a basic, economical and clean motel. The room we stayed in was immaculate, and the bed was comfortable. The AC system worked very well, which was a relief as it was a very hot day. WIFI access was excellent. We only used the motel as a quick stop on the way to Oregon for the solar eclipse, but were impressed enough that we would definitely stop here again. It is a pretty area normally, but unfortunately, due to the heavy smoke from wildfires in the area and southern Oregon, we left town as soon as possible after a hearty breakfast at the nearby Black Bear restaurant. We didn’t try the breakfast option at the Rodeway, as the very low price to stay also means a very inexpensive, high carb, low protein breakfast option, which is only to be expected.

Spotlessly clean and freshly painted, great older tile and tub with good shower, soft towels and windows front and back to catch a cross breeze. Covered parking was nice, too. Room was small and no light over the desk, which was in a cramped space under the AC, but we made it work. Great larger fridge, good microwave, coffeemaker, flat screen with hbo. The AC was noisy, but that's typical of older places without forced air and a small quibble given the great price! Thai restaurant adjacent was very good!
