Lovely building and setting. Good quality decor throughout the hotel. Room very nice with nice views. Nice little touches like Molton Brown bathroom products, small bottles of milk and iced water on arrival. However, our room was directly above rooms used for a wedding reception and the noise until midnight was simply horrendous. The room was vibrating and noise from guests was loud and at times crude. Overall had a very poor nights sleep. We were not advised that we might be inconvenienced by the wedding party. We were given a modest refund when checking out. Overall the staff were a bit indifferent. The stay would have been very good if we hadn’t encountered the noise.

Building site

Access for disabled guests is very poor. There is a building site in the CENTRE of the site. Construction traffic, noise, mud. No mention of this at time of booking. Spoiled our trip. Very disappointed.
