We went to Yokosuka, Japan to visit our son who's stationed there with the US Navy we stayed at the Mercure Hotel and were very impressed with how comfortable and beautiful it is! The staff could not be any kinder or helpful and we will certainly plan to stay tge next time we visit.

Mercure Yokosuka is located just next to Shioiri station and in front of the Yokosuka navy. In between there is a great park with roses, very well maintained by gardeners and many banks and where it is possible to run and exercice. On the other side is a huge shopping center Aeon.In the hotel there is a restaurant with great food. I spent 2 weeks in this hotel. I took my Geiger counter to test air, food and equipment. No radioactivity is apparent.

The room is really spacious and has all necessities included. It's comfortable and relaxing stay. The windows have good views as well. The restaurant on the 19th floor has a great view of the port. The hotel is also very close to the train station.

Excellent western stye hotel near the Navy Base Yokosuka. Easy 10-15 min walk to most of the commands. Near all train stations. The lobby is plain. They have a French restaurant but I didn't try it. Breakfast has western and Japanese selections but is sort of expensive.

After a busy few weeks in Japan we ventured to Yokosuka to relax and wind down before leaving Japan and heading home. After the hustle of Tokyo, streets of Osaka and hills of Hakuba this area was a lovely step down in pace. The hotel itself is well located opposite a large shopping complex and the harbour area and is right next to the rail station making access easy. Convenience stores (family mart, lawson and 7 Eleven) are very close by for any supplies you may need. The rooms are large and comfortable and are well suited to relax. The hotel foyer is large and open and people come and go. The lifts can be slow at busy times but thats not too big a deal for us. There are a lot of bars, cafes and food places nearby and there is a younger vibe in this area due to the presence of US and Japanese Navy personnel. We felt safe at all times and really enjoyed the area just to wander and look around. The free wifi is quite fast and reliable.

We had booked a double room with a bay view for a very reasonable price. I cannot tell you what it was like as we were upgraded to a Privilege King suite on the 17th floor. A magnificent way to end our holiday in Japan. The room was huge with a separate lounge area and with full length windows to take in the fantastic view. The bed was huge and very comfortable with excellent plump, soft pillows. The bathroom was a bit ordinary, but adequate. Staff were excellent and with very good English. Although a bit further from the Japan Rail station than we could walk, it is right next door to the private train line station.

One night family stay. Very friendly and efficient check in. Rooms had a lot of space and great view. Drinks in the evening were very plesant and the staff were very friendly. Beds were comfortable and firm. Breakfast the next day was very nice with a wide range of choices, the "local" curry was very nice. Checkout was very quick. Recommended for family visits. Well priced and comparable with the hotels we have stayed in NZ.

Having just stayed at a Novotel chain hotel in France, I was very surprised to find a property in Yokosuka, near Yokohama, Japan. The hotel appears to do a brisk wedding business with French food and amenities, although the US naval base nearby may provide a fair number of foreign visitors. The room was larger than a business hotel, and more expensive, while breakfast was not included in the ¥11,700 price booked online at a short-stay rate (technically check-in not allowed until 1700). Because it was booked online, the hotel would not credit miles to the frequent guest account, which made the reason for booking even more limited. It's close to Shioiri station with nightlife options, but no pool or gym in property.

Stayed in hotel in May. This is a great value hotel, giving a feeling of luxury and service at reasonable price. The hotel lobby is much larger and fancier than other Japanese hotels at this price. The rooms although not really large are very well designed and appointed. Free Wi-Fi works well and beds are comfortable. Had a room overlooking the Japanese naval base and the view at sunset and dawn was lovely. The breakfast buffet is a bit expensive but it also is quite fancy, so I guess you get what you pay for. The hotel is just down along the bay from the JR station. Problem is it is a good ten minute walk. So if you are carrying a heavy case it might pay to invest in a cab. Definitely would recommend this hotel for anyone in Yokosuka.

Enjoyed a 2 week stay. Perfectly located for easy access to the Naval Base. Larger rooms than the typical Japanese hotels, and reasonably priced. Definitely higher class than the Hotel New Yokosuka but does not have the free breakfast.
