Had a lovely time in melia hotel. Everything was good, pool was nice size, service was great, breakfast was various. Il Patio restaurant was ok, could have been better though. Overall a great experience.
Booked a room for 3 on the online system, but due to some technical problem, the hotel only charged for 2 person. Later, we found out that we will be charged more than the price we booked for due to the system error. Luckily, we had a friend who lives in Jogja and she called the hotel to rectify the issue. The hotel assured her that they will honour the initial price and sent an email to us and cc'ed our friend as proof. Fast forward to the day we checked in, we got a deluxe room on the 5th floor which was very spacious for 3 people. Unfortunately, there was a problem with the air purifiers and the room smelled like smoke (and let me tell you it felt like someone was blowing cigarette smoke right at your face, it was that bad!). My mom threw a racket and we got a room change. Now the 5th floor was a smoke-free floor and the new room at the 2nd floor was not, so now it was like out of the pan into the fire. On top of that, the room was much smaller than the one before, which obviously was a big deal, because hello, we paid good money for the bigger room, okay. So again, my mom asked for a room change. And the receptionist was very accommodating and helpful, which is always a bonus in my books. She called the duty manager to talk to us and she promised to change our room again, with no hassle whatsoever. Thumbs up for the excellent customer service and thank you for being so accommodating to your picky guests! :D P.S - Loved the welcoming sweets (praline and marshmallows) they provided us and the breakfast spread was awesome!
We stay at this hotel for 4 nights on February 3-7, 2017. And in the second night we realize that my husband money that he put in the laptop bag on the top of bedside table was gone. When we reported it to the hotel they said that will follow up and will give us the result tomorrow. But after we wait until last night we stay in there finally we talked to the GM but he said after internal investigation the conclusion are there's no evidence and the staffs that entering my room are not admitted that they took the money so they couldn't do any further with this issue. They told us to report to the police if we're not satisfied..but when first time we reported it to them the security said that no need report to the police..no worries they will do internal investigation. GM just offering free dinner for us that night but will never give the money back to me. At that night i made report to the police by my self and i never take the dinner invitation. They just gave us free additional breakfast on the day when we check out. The funny things is we still have to pay 249k when we check put for other additional breakfast and chips consume in minibar. Wow..what a nice hospitality manner. Even when we check out there's no other manager that assist us and at least say sorry to us because this issue already ruin our holiday. I definitely don't want to stay in this hotel anymore.
Excellent hotel that is coupled with brilliant facilities, spa and dining. No lack of options in this aspect. Spa is highly recommended. Probably the lack of convenience store late in the night is the only flaw
I will prefer the hotel arrange me to stay in the new wing. The old wing décor and bathtube look too worn off to be used. The lightning is too yellow. However, 3 min walk to supermarket to get fast food and alcohol.
This hotel is a short walking distance from Maliboro Street, a shopping street for all things Indonesian. cheap leather bags, T-Shirts, Batiks. Room is clean, comfortable and Big. I think they had just renovated. Room service menu is limited. Breakfast has lots of options but after my third night stay, the food is still the same except for some items. Hotel guest had free access to the Gym and group exercises class on alternate days.
A nice place to stay, family friendly, great breakfast, wonderful pool and close to tourist attractions. The staff is always willing to help and was able to solve the problem that we had during our stay.
We stayed at Melia for 2 nights. Rooms and mattresses were very nice and the breakfast excellent. We had dinner at "el patio" restaurant both nights and the food was also good! However there are two major drawbacks: 1. Wifi was really poor, especially at sixth floor. 2. There very close to hotel a mosque and the noise coming from it might irritate you. Especially when you need to rest the noice won't let you. So consider the above before booking!
We stayed 3 nights at Melia..breakfast was great with lots of options..kids loved the pool..had a small slide..we requested breakfast to go one morning because we left the hotel at 3am for borobudur sunrise tour, they had already prepared it for us to pick up at the concierge. Rooms were clean and spacious, and room service was also fast. Great stay!
Stayed for 2 nights at the end of December 2016. It was high season, so the hotel was crowded. Didn't really spent a lot of time at the hotel, but was able to take advantage of the pool (after 8PM; no lifeguard, bring towel, but got the pool to myself). Bed is comfortable, but the blanket is a bit flimsy (had to turn up the temp for AC to 30 degree C to make it comfortable). Bathroom has tub and shower stall. Hot water worked fine when I used the tub, but there was no hot water when I used the shower stall (too lazy to call). Breakfast was decent. But the staff was a bit slow in cleaning up tables, refilling coffee, and replenish the buffet.
