Its our first time in Jogja & decided to stay at the Melia, we must say we are not disappointed at all. The price is somewhat expected of a 5 star hotel so no point arguing over. We love: - Location!! It is walking distance from the famous Malioboro Walk. Walk pass the governor's office, at the end of the road to ur right is Malioboro St heading towards the main train station & tugu jogja or turn to your left & walks towards the Kraton & Alun Alun Kidul. - Rooms!! Spacious, clean & a super big king bed Roomy toilets with tubs & separate shower area. Mt Merapi view is clearly visible on a clear morning from the window .. that was our bonus!! - Service!! Smiles everywhere from restaurant, bar & lobby staff as just so nice, friendly & warm. Kudos to the housekeeping team for always keeping the rooms smelling fresh, clean & cool temp in the room. We appreciate u so so much - Breakfast is good. Nice balance of local & basic western breakfast staple. Tasty too - Buffet dinner was good. Love the local food selection - Restaurant & Bar carry the same menu a mix of basic local staple & burgers. - Room service is efficient but food arrives a lesser than warm but we were ok tho. 5 night was not enough to experience the hotel's facilities since we were busy exploring the other local spots but we were extremely happy & yes we will be back .. Hopefully really soon. Thank you for making our first Jogja trip comfy & memorable.
I stayed for a couple of days here during the rain season but the overall hotel was very clean, service was helpful and excellent. They have a range of great facilities including a swimming pool, sauna, gym, and pharmacy which was great because I got sick from a flu and needed tablets urgently. Overall the stay was worth every penny! Would recommend if you wanted a relaxing high class hotel/resort.
I’ve always a big fan of “getting to know” what’s a five star hotel could offer to service you. Not only admiring details, I’m cursed to almost accidentally or by nature finds out what’s missing or what’s supposed to have for a hotel labeled as a five stars. For example, on the 26th to 29th January 2018 I’ve stayed at the Melia Purosani, Special Region of Yogyakarta. It’s always a thing for a local tourist to have a hospitality less than the expatriates. Just for a note, that I’m not staying at the cheapest room, I even picked a room with purpose to facing the pool (an extra cost for it) and also with breakfast in the morning. Just to handle my expectations, I was actually gathering information about what to expect and what’s best of it before I decide to pay the price. I always have thoughts about staying with multicultural places would suits me best since I’m a creative workers (hard worker. Lol) who love streets fashion & culture, who tend to be super casual and a lil bit eccentric. But yeap! Still getting all the not-that-necessarily stare by showing in a ripndip oversized t-shirt with Nike running leggings. But that’s not even a problem for me, kinda used to it (lol). The room was comfortable and I love the working table in it. Room service for food order was so polite & kind with delicious foods (definitely better than the breakfast buffet). Outdoor environment was necessary, front deck services was average either with the breakfast buffet (my easiest point of view was my fiancé’s expression since he’s a big-fan-of-hotel’s-breakfast buffet and he said that it’s too average that he would skip breakfast in the next day and decide to find a local famous food instead. Hahahaha). Got none smoking room except the one with the terraces (informed by the check in time) so that I have to walk down 3 floors just to get a cigarette break but that’s (also) fine for me. Hotel was children friendly, pool also interesting for them (For me it was also an average) and got gym also. But what’s interested me was the Jalak Java birds conservation that they’re pick the hotel as they new home, well done! Well, no matter happened it’s still another pleasing experience to stayed at Melia. Couldn’t wish for more to have one Internasional standard for a five star rated hotel would treat their guess better in the future and be more helpful. And it’ll be super nice to practice Jogjakarta’s roots of hospitality. I believe to keep and exercise the world-famous-gentle tradition of Keraton culture would make the lovely hotel in a blast.
Nice location; Malioboro shopping area is at walk-able distance of 5 minutes. Even a leisurely stroll of 10-15 minutes will take you to the Sonobudoyo Museum for the famous Puppet Show. The property is very nice, rooms are quite spacious and view from the rooms are great. Staff are very polite and know what they are doing. The pool side pub is very nice to hang out. The pool is amazing. The travel desk is very efficient and highly recommended for your trips to Borobudur & Prambanan temples. We booked our trips to the temples and drop to airport at a very reasonable price. Tip1 - DON'T by theEntry tickets for the temples from ANY place OTHER than the counter at the entrances of the temples; there is no hassle at the entry. Tip2 - JogJakarta is a traditional town; you need to depend on the hotel pub for your evening drinks

What a pleasure for us getting back to this lovely family hotel in Jogyakarta for family holiday at the end of wonderful year of 2017. As I recall we was here on Feb 2014, close to 4 years. We choose this hotel again since last visit our 1st daughter cant swim due volcano eruption early 2014, now we have 3 babies to swim. Hotel staff is very friendly and the hotel still like before, me and my wide call the hotel is home sweet hotel, since we feel like we are at home. We choose Junior Suite 2 floors, the room is quite good until we asked to move to another room due a little problem with my babies. Then we moved to the room next door, but again since its very close to the lift our babies cant sleep well and we asked the management to find us another room at the end of the year when almost all room booked. Thanks to Mr.Molina and Teams who helped and support our needed and our room upgraded from Junior Suite to Executive Suite which is a surprise for all of us. The Executive Room is very big, if i can tell its 3 rooms combine become 1 room, with living room, dining room, and huge bathrooms. Not just upgraded our room, Mr.Molina and Teams also provide free Dim Sum lunch and New Year Eve ticket to us as a complimentary from Melia Hotel. Its truly a gift for us. Breakfast still the best in town, many Indonesian and Western food availability. The garden with Gold Fish pool was amazing, no mosquito at the garden. And of course the pool is awesome, its family pool, not to depth and it has a slide for kiddos. Statue with water flowing through it was incredible and also little water fall make my babies dream come true. they are swimming all day long. We stay quite long during this holiday, about 9 days. and its unforgettable moments for us. We will come back some day to Melia Purosani, Many thanks to The Level Staff and special for mr.Molina, Gracias, Adios Amigos. Cheers
Big room, nice view, big bathroom with bathtub. Breakfast just nice only. Staff can speak English fluently and they are friendly. The hotel is just walking distance to Malioboro Street Market. In front of hotel you can easily ride a trishaw. The hotel is nearby to the tourist attraction.
2nd time to hold huge group in this hotel. Friendly GM, Mr Geronimo given the full attentiveness for whole aspect. The team given full of heart of service during the group staying for 4 nights without any problem is relief for me as Organizer. We will be back to MELIA PUROSANI Yogyakarta
I recently visited Yogyakarta for study purpose and come up with the idea of trying restaurant in one of a famous hotel in Yogyakarta, Melia Purosani. That afternoon i was accompanying my friend to attend her work in Melia and while waiting i decide to go for the restaurant which at time was quiet with no one inside. El Patio is a very catchy name they gave and in the first impression is this restaurant located at the very corner of the lobby, straight cross from the lobby entrance. i choose to sit at the smoking area outside the indoor area, and the ambience was very calming because you can see the park and small fountain in the hotel park area. i was impressed by the welcoming service and they handed me the menu book. i ordered the fondant a chocolat and ice coffee latte, the beverages comes early within ten minutes and the cake comes approximately 15 minutes after that (which was okay because the server told me that the cake need about 30 minutes to be serve). ice coffee latte was good and the cake was excellent, it was molten in the middle and the taste is not exceedingly sweet, the strawberry put a much contrast colour in the presentation. because of the ambience i was sitting there like 3 hours killing my time and satisfying myself. El Patio is a recommended place for those who seek quite sweet romantic place to eat with a reasonable price. i am in the mood for coming again next time i visit Yogyakarta. thank you El Patio for the good service, good place, and good food.
