Lovely hotel, marble everywhere. Nice pool and gardens in the centre. The bedrooms are large and spacious and well equipped. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always greeted you with a smile. The one word of warning is that we booked what we thought was the hotel driver. In fact it turned out to be a company the hotel uses. The driver was a bit unreliable, trying to get us to book tickets for Borobodur with some friends of his at a discount rather than from the attraction itself. We found the local taxis to be much, much cheaper.
The Chinese food in Ching San Chinese Restaurant by Chef Ho is excellent and outstanding! Highly recommended for all food lovers. The marinated crab, the tau foo, the vegetables and so many other dishes were truly delicious. This is easily the best Chinese restaurant in Yogyakarta!
We have just had five fabulous days at the Purosani Hotel I could not recommend it highly enough. Central position to Marlioboro Street and City centre, large rooms, excellent restaurants, El Patio, Chinese restaurant superb, the Pub great. Beautiful pool area an oasis in the city. Best of all the staff, friendly, kind and excellent service. We both felt staff just wanted us both to have a wonderful stay with them. Thank you to all
I can just recommend this hotel. It is located in the very centre of Yogyakarta. Rooms are big, clean and very comfortable. A place you like to stay in. Breakfast is good, they offer everything you need to start the day. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool area is great, beautiful pool surrounded by a beautiful garden. I would definitely come again.
It is not really a 5*, but it is a good option for Yogya. The room is quite new, the furniture is basic, but we loved the garden view and the evening turn down service with chocolate/biscuits. The lobby is ok as it is the restaurant - some parts are newly refurbished and some are not. We were eating there all the time (breakfast and dinner) - the food a la carte is really good, the buffet is more on the average side. What was really disturbing were guests walking around in hotel (paper) slippers and smoking a lot (they were sitting in the restaurant’s garden, not eating dinner, just smoking). I think the hotel should provide a non smoking area (we were with kids and could not ‘hide’ anywhere). Garden is beautiful as it is the small pool, we also enjoyed the massages. It is an oasis in the middle of the Yogya’s chaos. The location is very convenient, you can walk to some of the main sights, but there are also lots of taxis around.
Spent two nights at this well-maintained hotel in the heart of Jogjakarta, despite the fact that I had more than many options of hotels in that area, my stay here is simply amazing. Easy walk to downtown and shops. Room was fantastic, very clean, and spacious. Good for honeymooners, family, or group. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful, particularly when it came to planning day trips, activities, or an event. Irma was helping me to arrange the dinner for my school reunion. She suggested a BBQ dinner - The menu, presentation, and everything were amazing with very great price! The worst part: I had to go back to Bali and leave this hotel, but for sure I will be back!
We booked for the standard room, checked in on Friday. When we got to the room, the room was quite spacious than I have expected. However the facilities were not very up to my minimum expectation. The kettle in our room was not working properly, we had to hold on to the switch by ourselves to keep it turned on, and the hair dryer was a very old model and was broken. One of the cups were already broken when we got to the room. The elevators too, one of the three kept making weird noises when going up, which made us a bit worried. But the staffs were nice and friendly, and location wise it is near to the centre of the city so it was convenient to move around. Also I enjoyed the room service foods too.
Nice outside dining option, good wifi all over the resort. Nice garden pool. Mind however that yogya and Java are not like Bali. Far less tourism so less restaurants and bars that meet western standards. The hotels does however and is a good base to visit the temples.
I love the big and clean room. I love the interior of my room. I love the food, complete breakfast menu. I love the location, so strategic. Close with Malioboro street. I could enjoy the nice of Yogyakarta during my stay 3 days 2 rights. The commission: nice experience during my stay in Mélia Purosani Hotel.
Location: a short stroll to the main Malioboro avenue and at walking distance to the main train station (though with lugage you better take a taxi). Hotel premises: big and resort-style, but you never feel like you are in a huge place; very new and efficient, with a beautiful courtyard featuring a fantastic swimming pool. The hotel hosts a travel agent and driver's services, which can be practical for arranging tours. Staff: efficient and helpful Restaurant: tried it several times for dinner, really worthwhile with good choice of different styles of dishes. While waiting time was at times a bit longish, the result was worth the wait. Breakfast: very good choice of products, very fresh, catering to all tastes (Western and Asian) Room: spacious, clean and nicely designed, with a sizeable bathroom; everything in good working order; excellent noise insulation provides for a good night sleep; WiFi was reliable and fast in both the room and common places (including courtyard). Overall: top-notch hotel, most likely the best in town.
