We stayed from 27-30 November 2017, we have high expectation for this hotel because location close to Malioboro and have Children Playground there. The actual condition was location of hotel not very close, we need to walk with small alley and took around 15-20 minutes to Malioboro and not comfortable because it was rain season and always heavy rain everyday. The staff not provide any umbrella to borrow. Children Playgorund there is in terrible condition, no toys or anything could be used for our children to play there. There only have rooms with alphabet playmate with 1 bear doll without any childrens book and toys at all. Room was very small and noisy from another room. Hot water tap not working and toilet very smelly (exhaust not working). Electric socket only available 1, with 1 connect with digital clock/ipad dock that not working at all. Need to get rid that dock and give more electric socket. Interior color is very bad, red and green not matching at all. We request for queen bed, but get 2 single bed but combine become one sheet (in middle of bed it could be separated). We not have any comfortable sleep there. Breakfast area very small (hard to find seats) and food taste below average. Need a lot of improvement for this hotel, specially for children playground and room interior. Pool need to have roof. No gym available and Wifi very slow.
i was stay at this hotel on october 2017, by the information on online sites that hotel is very closed and easy going to malioboro streets which one of iconic yogyakarta city. we had stay for couple day, and we always feel like home as they had service to us I,e: play ground at lobby, pool on roof top with nice view and the service is very convienience. but the only noted that breakfast on morning need more capacity seat due while time on minutes to find avaibilty .
I love to say at this hotel. The staffs are helpful and care. Need variety of breakfast. I've been staying for seven nights and feel a bit bored for the food of breakfast. Special note to the laundry: please look after the cloth more to be clean and smooth ironing. Special note to the house keeping: please keep the blanket clean properly. Over all: I love it. I'll be back, for sure.
Having stayed at this hotel 4 years ago, we looked forward to staying here again. Unfortunately, this property has not been well maintained and is badly in need of renos. We upgraded to plus, but sadly, this only provided a bathtub, instead of only a shower (which we actually would have preferred). The room had a terrible musty smell of which we notified the front desk immediately. They responded quickly by sending someone up with a can of spray room deodorizer. My husband had difficulty breathing and had to use an inhaler during each night of our stay, which he never does as a rule. We would have left had we not prepaid our 4 night stay. The room was not well maintained...stains on the walls, dirty carpets in the halls. The roof top pool/lounge area which we so enjoyed on previous stays was now occupied by a group of young male servers who continuously played incredibly offensive "gangster rap" which was loaded with horrible language and violent imagery! The area looked unkempt, worn and dirty, although the actual pool was still very nice. We could only stay long enough for a brief swim. The breakfast experience was also a disappointment. There was so little staff in the dining room during the busiest times of day that they were absolutely run off their feet and it was difficult to get a specialty coffee, which they had to make. The salad and fruit bar was not once fully stocked during our stay. The foods on the hot bar were often cold and not frequently restocked. All in all, a sad state of affairs! The restaurant was empty in the evenings and there were few staff on duty. We did stop in for a pizza one night, which was surprisingly good. The front desk staff were lovely! They went out of their way to help us on every occasion, including getting our cell phone sorted out. Overall, however, we cannot recommend this hotel any longer. There are much better options in Yogyakarta which are also better value. Grab and Go make transportation so easy, that you can stay anywhere in the city and still get around for very little, so no need to be right near Maliaboro any longer.
Great hotel in a small alley on Malioboro, not too far from the main street. Pretty quiet at night. Rooms are well decorated. Front desk staffs are quite friendly. They can arrange for a taxi to Borobudur and provide bus information to Prambanan.
Reservasi untuk 2 kamar selama 2 mlm, surprisingly they upgrade 1 room to Family Room. Not too sure what happened but the hotel was so full that time and I was late check in that day. Family room was big, nice for family with kids, bathtub and sofa bed were big but had ao many stain on it. 2 TV’s which was nice and has a balcony. The downside was the electricity plug, they only has 2 and very far from the bed. During breakfast on weekend,it was so full with people...so little staff/waiter/waitress who works in restaurant area. We need to wait to have a table and wait for them to fill out the foods. Breakfast not so great, not many selection. Overall good experience and services
This hotel is only walking distance to malioboro street. The room was great and they are provide bolster as well! i'm so happy for that. Just feels like home. Anyway, they have rooftop pool with sky bar and offering dining package in affordable price!
It's my 3rd times I stayed here and as always happy to stay here. Smilling staff and great place. As Le Club member they treat me so well. Don't miss the rooftop and live music. It's really chill out. Amazing and will stay here again if I go to Yogyakarta.
I stayed in Ibis Styles Yogyakarta with my boyfriend for a week and we just loved this hotel! Good location. Just a few minutes walking from Malioboro Jl. Check-in process was fast and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. We had a very nice welcome and first impression. We found the room (superior category) very clean and spacious. Housekeeping service was excellent!! It was a pleasure to come back to the room every day and find nicely arranged towels on the bed and refreshed tea and coffee amenities. Very good laundry service too: we were kindly asked every day if we had laundry to be collected. Breakfast buffet was beyond expectations: fresh fruit, bakeries, Asian food and more...a wide choice for all tastes! Room service was also very good and fast. On our sixth night we were surprised on our return to the room with a nice unexpected sweet amenity. Very appreciated gesture! We also had the chance to use the tour agency service, who helped us organize a one day tour in order to see the main attractions in the area. Friendly and helpful staff, who gave us a call the night before our tour, to reconfirm all the details. Nice view and sunset from the skybar. Unfortunately due to the weather, we did not use the pool, however it looked nice. I would definitely recommend Ibis Styles for your stay in Yogyakarta!
