For the xth I've visited Yaounde on Business. I've stayed in the Hilton Hotel because of the location (central) and the security standard. Though the hotel furniture are totally worn out and the price are out of sync with the standard you are offered, I want to praise the staff who make me feel at home every time. Be it Regine in the breakfast or Hypolithe and his team at the front office, I feel every time well-taken care off and I'm happy to return there.

İt is one of the best hotels ı stayed in Africa. İnternet connection was good. The hotel staff is really helpfull and the balconies are great for smokers. But unfortunately there is nothing to see in yaounde

The Hilton is a nice place for a quiet outdoor lunch. My hamburger was so-so, but the lunch buffet looked excellent (I wish I had ordered it). Prices are high, but this is probably the nicest restaurant and hotel in town! Free WiFi for guests.

Stay here on regular base. Hotel is a Hilton standard hotel what is very good . Very good breakfast with a lot of hot and cold disches buffet style.Service always with a smile here.Rooms confortable with a good bed Service at reception could be better. Some staff have difficulties to smile when being asked something.

I stayed here for 5 days in July 18-22nd. It is a nice hotel and really friendly and helpful staff. I had breakfast and lunch as part of conference package and those were good. The only thing I did not like were carpets in the rooms. They are old and do not feel very clean. And a suggestion Hilton please consider having dressing gowns in the rooms. Finally a number of doors in the ladies toilets in the business centre on first floor do not have latches... fix those please

Great staff, great food, nice property. This level of customer service is not easily found and is especially appreciated in West Africa! Don't hesitate to ask for what you need, they will deliver in order to make your stay safe, comfortable and make you feel as if YOU are the most important guest of all. Be sure to check out the Panoramic Bar on the 11th floor for amazing views of Cameroon's capital city, Yaounde.

While one must always adjust expectations when traveling in central Africa, the absolutely extortionate rates charged by this place, which has an effective monopoly on accommodation for business travelers in Yaoundé, are firmly at the back of your mind when you stay here. Want an espresso? That will be US$7 thanks. Breakfast? $US25 please. Expect a commensurate level of theft for the rest of the food and services offered. The staff are mixed at best, from some proactively trying to help you, to some who look at your presence with indifference and seem sad and confused by your desire to use a credit card to pay for something instead of cash. WiFi is slow but consistent at least, and don't expect the lobby staff to be useful for advice on Yaoundé. Certainly an old hotel, with tired rooms and facilities, in a town in sore need of some competition to at least make your stay here not a complete rip-off.

This is supposedly the best hotel in Yaounde. It is ok and very good for Cameroun. Girls in reception are not good at all. Having booked a car 3 weeks before arrival and reminded them on this one hour before I needed the car giving a precise time 845 when I wanted the car outside, they of course screwed up and the car arrived at 910, making me late for the meeting. Had to pay the driver cash and as no atm worked at the hotel, a kind desk manager, Patrik ( great guy and very professional) lended me the money. Very frustrating experience. Wifi in hotel is slow and not good for films or pictures. Food is very average with only two restaurants to choose from. Pizza was ok but main courses at lunch buffet were not good and at best lukewarm. Why do African hotels insist on these very bland buffets of second rate quality? Great experience was the very kind and professional hostess at the lunch buffet. Her name is Larissa. She really made a difference; smart, verbal, presented the food and spoke excellent english. I can only hope Hilton will take good care of her. Rooms were clean, if a bit old. Good lightning and a small balcony. Lobby bar was ok. Good AC in room but a bit noisy. Breakfast was ok. Nothing special, except for a good choice of bread, not just the sweet kind. Very poor coice of english speaking tv channels, which is surprising as english is an official language . HILTON:THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!! Gym is in the basement. Not very clean and air is stuffy. Also full of locals so not really a hotel gym. Locker room very hot. All in all not at all Hilton standard? Still, it is the only decent hotel in town. But far from what I expect from a Hilton. Some truly good ppl . Larissa and Patrik really made a difference!

Excellent! Nice shops and centrally located. Good room service and dinner buffet. Love Hiltons in general. Excellent staff. Casino leaves a bit to be desired, but they are trying. Excellent check in and check out.

I stayed in this hotel 13 years ago and I think not much has changed not even the carpets. The hotel is very well located and staff sometimes were very nice and other times not so nice. The hotel has a descent gym, beauty salon and on Fridays has a very nice seafood buffet dinner. However, there are huge cockroaches running around the pool area where the buffet is served so be aware! We told the waitress and she looked at us as we were complaining about nothing. On weekends, it took an eternity for maids to come and clean the room; in one occasion I had to call to have it clean and then they would ask you to fill a survey and give them a 10😏 I changed rooms three times because although I had told them non smoking, they put me on smoking room, then the second room had a fridge with water spilling on the carpet, which they first said it was my fault because I needed to close the fridge properly but the water was already there when I moved to the room. Then we were given a corporate rate but at the time of payment they added about $20 per night, we thought this was very dishonest.
