Stayed at orchid club lounge for two days . Enjoyed good service from club receptionists and room cleaning is to my satisfactory thanks to housekeeper Lin Htike . Staff are kind .Overall, service is great .
I stayed five nights in two different rooms at the Parkroyal (Orchid Club Room). The first room was good, enough space, quite clean and facing the quieter side (with pool view). The breakfast was okay. They are trying to meet the taste of Europeans, Indians and Chinese/Japanese guests. Quality and selection is not at a five-star level. A la carte dinner was better. The music club at the basement had a Filipino band that sucked compared to other Filipino cover bands I saw in other cities. The club is not short of ladies if you are looking for company. Staying in a club room does NOT come with a breakfast served in the club (!) as it does at many other hotels. The location is great. You can do a lot by walk, including the Sule Pagoda and the colonial and Chineses quarters. The big upside of my stay in this hotel is definitely the friendlyness and support of most of the staff. The concierge guys were absolute great in helping with anything I asked or even mentioned. The Front Office Manager Aye did an outstanding job in helping me for various things, such as finding a great restaurant to get a real typical Myanmar soup or arraging my second stint. Even compared to more luxurious hotels I visited, these guys were so friendly and supportive that they compensated other (party subjective) shortcomings.
Hi there, I was on business trip and started my breeze feeling out of office and this was fourth time of staying in this year. Surprisingly, I was encountered the issue with smoking in balcony of the room (731). In this suite room, I saw the two chairs & one table adding a crystal glass of ash tray is on the table. To my simple logic, it allow me to smoke in balcony area (not in the room) as the ash tray is there. If I saw TV, I can watch the available channels anytime in my room, I believe. If I saw the fruits, I can have them any time withouth anyone permission. If I find out the iron, I manage to iron my closths at no cost. Unfortunately, I was given a phone call reminder to stop smoking in the room on 26/Oct/2019 as there was a baby staying in another room and I just answered the staff that I did smoking in balcony area and glass door was opened sometime. Anyway, I told him that I will close the glass door when smoking. In next day, I put the ash tray had some ash and remining of cigarettes in the room as there was windy and rainning outside (that cause dirty and messy in balcony area). At the same day (27/Oct/2019), there were three persons ( Staff/ Porter/ Security ) came to my room and they got the sence of smoking smell in the room and offered me to go to 6 floor with the reason that the neighbour complain and they got a baby. Of course, my answer was clear and not moving to any room as my check-out is soon and not to smoke again as there was a baby next door but kept offer me to move to another room ( I believe, third time ). In my opinion, this was not first time staying in room 731 and smoking with ash tray provided in balcony area as usaul. I do realize that the hotel got smoking room at Level 3 and that didn't suite my/my company requirement. Thus, I selected the Ambassador suite and just used the facility allowed in the room. My question is why the hotel put the ash tray in balcony area and let feel the guest to be guility when smoked. If neighbour complains anyhow and just request to move the so-called crook to another floor. Sice we heard about he neighbour baby, I stopped smoking in balcony area and just go down to smoking area at Lv 1. This is the first time I saw the poor management on dealing with the conflict between guests in this hotel. If I were them, I rather upgrade their room or move to the most tranquil and air clean room with humble request. My company requested me to get the suiitable office are in downtime
I have been a lot of hotel in Yangon and I’d like to recommend Parkroyal Yangon is the best hotel in town. All staff are kind especially thank to Miss Su Lay Mon (Supervisor of Housekeeper) who is greeting me very warm and assisted where I want to go. Hope to see you again at there.
Overall we enjoyed our stay at the ParkRoyal and would recommend. It is advertised as a 5 star hotel. However, the rooms, and facilities are ageing a little and the whole hotel is in need of a makeover. I would personally rate this hotel as 4 star. The buffet breakfast was an absolute winner. One of the best spreads I have ever had. The staff at concierge were very helpful. The location is good. close to some great eating options all within 5-10 min walk. close to Scott Market and the junction centre, which was around a 10 minute walk. The train station is also a 5-10 min walk. Taxi to China town cost around 3000MKK (AUD$3). The swimming pool area was nice as were the gym facilities.
Amazing ambience Great service, really friendly staff. Rooms are very comfortable. Amenities are of high quality. Good for business travelers. A walk around the hotel lets you know that it is built to host weddings and parties for a large number of guests.
They served Everything no need to ask again. Reception helped for our request everything . Check in is so quickly. Thanks for house keeping team for slippers. Thanks to say to Go ey and Simon from reception.
This is a great hotel. It was my second stay and I upgraded to the 8th Floor which has a business lounge. There isn't much in the lounge but at least you can get out of your room and have a drink and a snack. Breakfast is really good with plenty of variety. The staff are exceptional and will always greet you with a smile and can't do enough for you.
Good location - close to all attractions yet peaceful, spa, restaurants all nearby. Good hotel at reasonable price. Rooms were clean, wifi was good, touletories were good. We stayed for 2 days and liked it.
I facilitated the delivery of workshops for two weeks at the ParkRoyal Hotel, & can truly say that I have never experienced such outstanding service anywhere else. ALL the staff provided excellent kindness and care; we had wonderful food during all the breaks, including Mohinga, pastries & cakes; fresh juice etc.The lunches were also delicious, including Bento boxes. The training rooms were always prepared; fresh roses, sweets, jugs of water: incredible is the only word I can use. The staff considered all our needs, were consistently welcoming, warm and professional. I didn't stay at this Hotel but will, when I return to Yangon.
