Sheraton Xiamen Hotel4.5 out of 5.0

Interesting location, just off a main thouroughfare of Xiamen Island, 10 minutes walk to the massive SM Malls, tranquil lake round the corner. 7 nights stay Check in was easy, polite, informative in the massive ground floor lobby. 5 elevators are enough, but sometimes the flashing lift coming sign is not always the first to arrive. My room was large with all the amenities, umbrella, ironing board, tea coffee, safe etc etc. Bathroom was good size with integral shower/bath which worked well. Absolutely fine room, apart from maybe the matress being a bit hard compared with marriott/hilton beds. Lounge was ok, maybe could start breakfast at 6am and happy hour finish later at 8pm? probably not large enough either. all in all, seems like I will be returning next year.
Had a quick one night stay on business trip. It is fair enough although, rooms are big and confortable. Front office was quick and efficient. Breakfast can do better ans it is a bit strange design with the place cut in 2 and you dont really realize that half of the buffet is 50 m away...
Took my little man for a night out and stay here at Sheraton Xiamen, checked in early and Sara Hu was nice enough to make sure we got a nice and really comfortable room which my 4 year old could really enjoy himself here, and after that we had a great dinner at the Waves restaurant with my colleague’s family, and two kids had a blast and we most certainly enjoyed the food and wonderful services by Kimmy Chen, Philip Zhang, Emily Huang, and others. The room was spacious and really comfortable, the little guy loved it! A nice gym/pool on the property as well, and a really nice bar in the lobby. Really, nothing better.
I stayed here for business to visit factories in the local area. I have stayed in The Pan Pacific on Xiamen Island many times but tried the Sheraton as the Pan Pacific has the Metro being built out front of the hotel and is currently very noisy. Anyway the stay at the Sheraton has been good, the hotel rooms are nice though difficult to get the temp just perfect often a little too warm or too cold. Breakfast is a huge factory for me when I stay in China and they have plenty of options. The gym area is nice however the treadmills could do with a little TLC. Overall though an excellent option when staying on Xiamen Island.
first time in this hotel , the price is very attractive and the brekfast has a lot of choices, the houseeking was fantastic , the bathroom is not good but the localisation of the hotel is very nice ..
I stayed here for a couple of nights on a business trip. I arrived around 2am and the check in was good. On arrival the room had a bad odour but I just wanted to sleep as had been travelling for around 35 hours. I had a shower and the water did not drain away very fast and could not keep up with the flow of water. This resulted in the water spilling into the rest of the bathroom. On the plus side the Breakfast was nice with a good selection. The gym was well equipped and the pool looked clean and well maintained. The hotel is getting pretty dated and need some work to modernise it. The smell in the room was pretty bad and in hindsight should have complained on arrival. Next time I go to Xiamen I will be looking for another hotel to stay at.
I stayed one night at this hotel for its proximity to the airport and the Wu-Tong port. It is about a 20-minute taxi ride from the airport. It is located in a slightly older part of the city, next to a nice green municipal park (although I didn't get to explore the park because it was so hot). My first impression of the hotel was its super shiny exterior. The lobby looks grand. The staff was very courteous at check-in and check-out and the process was efficient. As Marriott Gold member, I thought I would have free access to the executive lounge and free breakfast under the SPG reciprocal Gold program. But that turns out not to be the case. So I opted to pay a little extra to have access to the lounge. Guests had to go through a security check point with a metal detector in order to access the elevators – which was kind of new to me. I booked a regular deluxe room with one king bed. The room was quite spacious and there was a separate shower and tub in the bathroom. Although a bit dated, the room was clean and nicely appointed. I also had the opportunity to use the gym and it was a pretty large gym with a good selection of equipment - pretty impressive for a hotel gym. There was also an sizable indoor pool. I had dinner and breakfast at the executive lounge – which was quite empty when I was there. The food selection and service were okay but not remarkable. I was allowed late checkout at 4:00pm which was useful.
Stayed at the Sheraton Xiamen for over a week and was very happy with the hotel and its outstanding staff. From the minute I was trying to check in with major credit card issues, the front desk staff and Manager Sara Hu went the extra steps to help me out of the mess I was in. Once that was resolved, moved to an updated Exec Level room that was huge, felt like I was in my living room. Two outstanding staff members, Nina on the 2nd floor restaurant was attentive and always willing to help. The Manager that provided outstanding service in the Exec Lounge was Ms. May Ye, fantastic Service and Sheraton must be proud to have her as a staff member. Not a new shinny hotel but certainly provides all the needs the business traveler need. Rooms, beds and hotel clean and no issues. Huge new shopping center within walking distance from hotel with many many restaurants.
As a group, check-in was kind of slow. Nonetheless, the staff were really very very helpful. Bellboys even helped us load our luggage on the table. The room for two can fit like 5 people, because one bed can sleep two people at a time. Then there's the couch where one person could sleep. Of course, it's in xiamen( a touristy place) so it is kind of pricey. BUT it is VERY NICE WITH A PERFECT VIEW.
although the facility is very old, staff very helpful and Happy on their face all the time This hotel is very good for take a rest and relax place also using the SPG website book this hotel is more easy and comfortable thank again for all staff I enjoy this trip I will recommend all my friend and family choose this hotel when they travel to XMN
