I stay at this hotel each time I am in Wuhan for business, my last stay was earlier this month for 6 nights. The rooms are good quality, the staff friendly and helpful, breakfast is good and caters for different tastes, dinner choice and room service good too. The bed is the best bed I have ever slept in and the view from the room of the river is nice especially in the evening.
We were at a pleasant dinner party in the neighborhood of the hotel, when we realized that returning home was too late. So we asked our host to make a reservation in a nearby hotel. This happened to be the Marco Polo. To reserve a room the hotel demanded the payment of the two rooms in advance, so the money was paid to them by WeChat. When we arrived at the hotel, we, a German and an American businessman, could not present our Passports, which we left in my Chinese home. So the hotel employees refused to give us rooms. Af course, we requested the money back - 1380 RMB - back in vain. The next day a discussion with the hotel management also resulted with no success. I think the behavior of the management is terribly wrong. Never will anybody from my company ever be a guest in the Marco Polo Wuhan again. 1389 RMB is 200 US $. It was paid for nothing. We went with a tour group. Room was clean with a good View and it was pleasantly quiet. Had a Super king sized bed with firm mattress. We really slept well the 2 nights. The room was well stocked with the basic essentials. However, the wifi was weak in the reception area and the room. I wld say this is generally so for the other hotels we stayed at in China too. Overall, I wld recommend this hotel to my friends. 😊
This is a great hotel, nothing wrong with it. Rooms are pretty much perfect. View is fabulous. Great restaurants and cafe, with nice western sweets and chinese food. Convenient limo service to the airport. And the super Iris, at reception, so helpful and so fluent in Japanese. Great ambassador to the Marco Polo chain. Especially if you've already been to the few interesting sites in Wuhan, just hang in here.
I was areally impressed by this hotel. Location is wonderful with view on the river. Rooms are very spacious and modern. Lovely bathroom. Very clean. Lots of lights in the room, because they also use very light wood. Large TV. The pool is fantastic and they even have a sauna and steambath. The gym is certainly larger and more modern than in many other hotels. Downside was just in my case, that internet in my room was extremely bad. Not sure why... Besides that, I can recommend this hotel fully.
Stayed one night. A beautiful hotel with friendly and efficient staff. The hotel is first class with large comfortable rooms. Food is good and varied. Located near the river Yangste with a large park in front. Great location with many delightful local bars and restaurants nearby. The nearby park is a delight at night for a walk. The skyline on the opposite side is a real light display at night with coordinated colour changes for all of the riverside buildings. There is a delightful restaurant in an old train carriage at one end of the park.
My first time came Marco Polo Hotel. The rooms are large and clean, and the important thing is that the river view is very beautiful. I think I'll come again next time. It's worth recommending. The staff service so good and kindly.
Bad experience and not feel comfortable. Bad staff service and food quality is bad. Not recommend to others and might not stay next time. The floor is too low for me even after upgraded. Requested for room next to the lift lobby but not be arranged.
What can I say apart from amazing amazing amazing. I booked the Marco Polo in Wuhan on C trip. The reviews for the hotel were mainly positive. When booking I advised them that it was our wedding night hoping they would be able to do something special for us. Did they? They most certainly did. Upon arrival Angel the manager met us at reception with a very warm and comfortable welcome. She had upgraded our room for us which was on the 29th club floor with a stunning view. Angel showed us to our room which had been layed out with petals in the bath and on the bed along with swans made out of towels. It was beautiful. She also provided us with a bottle of wine free of charge. Then she took a photo for us with the hotel polaroid and gave that to us aswell. We also had access to the club lounge on the 34th floor which from 6 am till 11pm you could eat and drink as much as you wanted for free. Including top brand liqueurs. We also had our breakfast there instead of sharing with the rest of the hotel on the 2nd floor which I preferred as it was lovely and quiet with an outstanding view. So overall thank you for an amazing stay and when we are back in Wuhan we will contact Lily the sales manager who offered us a better deal for the next time we stay. If you want a lovely hotel in a convenient location a 10 minute walk from thousands of shops across from the river with lovely walks and receive an outstanding service this hotel is for you. Thanks again and see you next time. Mr Paul Collins.
Got lucky by being assigned corner room 1614 on 16th with bath having great city and Yangtze River views, so that has probably skewed my review to 5 stars as a result... Having said that it's generally a nice hotel with restaurants serving great local cuisine and a few passable Western dishes too. Also well located for walking downtown.
