Bad experience and not feel comfortable. Bad staff service and food quality is bad. Not recommend to others and might not stay next time. The floor is too low for me even after upgraded. Requested for room next to the lift lobby but not be arranged.

What can I say apart from amazing amazing amazing. I booked the Marco Polo in Wuhan on C trip. The reviews for the hotel were mainly positive. When booking I advised them that it was our wedding night hoping they would be able to do something special for us. Did they? They most certainly did. Upon arrival Angel the manager met us at reception with a very warm and comfortable welcome. She had upgraded our room for us which was on the 29th club floor with a stunning view. Angel showed us to our room which had been layed out with petals in the bath and on the bed along with swans made out of towels. It was beautiful. She also provided us with a bottle of wine free of charge. Then she took a photo for us with the hotel polaroid and gave that to us aswell. We also had access to the club lounge on the 34th floor which from 6 am till 11pm you could eat and drink as much as you wanted for free. Including top brand liqueurs. We also had our breakfast there instead of sharing with the rest of the hotel on the 2nd floor which I preferred as it was lovely and quiet with an outstanding view. So overall thank you for an amazing stay and when we are back in Wuhan we will contact Lily the sales manager who offered us a better deal for the next time we stay. If you want a lovely hotel in a convenient location a 10 minute walk from thousands of shops across from the river with lovely walks and receive an outstanding service this hotel is for you. Thanks again and see you next time. Mr Paul Collins.

Got lucky by being assigned corner room 1614 on 16th with bath having great city and Yangtze River views, so that has probably skewed my review to 5 stars as a result... Having said that it's generally a nice hotel with restaurants serving great local cuisine and a few passable Western dishes too. Also well located for walking downtown.

I have stayed at this hotel on many occasions before and had great service, not today! I arrived to find no doorman to open doors or take my bag. When getting to the reception I am met by a smile by one lady but her counterpart is surly and very curt in her approach. I wait for the lift for over 5 minutes, and nobody else is there so it's not like there is a queue. I arrive at my room to find it hasn't been fully finished. Then when I do get in I find pubic hair (not mine) on the toilet. I go to take a shower and the head has been turned to point outside the door which soaks me and all the floor. I start a conference call over Skype and after 5 minutes there is a power cut, which when I finally get through to reception they tell me they are testing the power and it will be 5 mins. It was another 10 and my call was ruined. The lifts again took over 5 minutes to reach me. I called for room service which arrived when stated, but was quite inedible. The food had cling film over it rather than cloches and so was soggy. The lamb pancakes was a greasy slop all on one plate, and therefore the pancakes just disintegrated on use. The Hainan chilli chicken was just fried chicken with chilli's chucked on top, the chicken had no marinading as it should have. I noted a number of ladies that sell themselves picking up clients in the reception area which concerned me as well. The decor is showing signs of wear. This is not the hotel it used to be, and cannot style itself as the best hotel in Wuhan. I am upset by this visit and in the future will use another hotel. For now I will have to deal with it as I have work to do and no time to find somewhere else this evening.

This was a clean hotel centrally located to my business meetings in Wuhan. Rooms were well apportioned and had modern decor. Close to restaurants and other activities. Service was above average. Hotel bar had live music and was well stocked.

The hotel looks not as good as pictures. The lobby had cigarette smell even though it's not allowed to smoke inside. The room is quite spacious. Wifi is poor and not working all the time! Amenity is very local! Electric plug is at strange place! River view is good! Price is reasonable. Location is good.

Probably the best hotel in Wuhan. Location is nice with many bars, restaurants or clubs nearby. On riverside, which is the best Wuhan can offer. Rooms are just perfect, new, clean. As usual in China check in is taking a while. That could be improved and aligned to global standard. Go there, eyes wide shot

Stayed at the Marco Polo Wuhan 2 nights, 18th/19th Jan. The hotel was very welcoming on arrival and I was upgraded to an executive room on the 30th floor. Incidentally I'm told that late arrivals (ours was at 00:25) very often get upgraded. The room was fantastic and very very clean. There is free wifi in the hotel and like most of China, superb quality too. Breakfasts are a feast and cater to western as well as eastern tastes.

Stayed here for a week in Jan/17. This is a very good hotel for business or leisure. Spacious, modern and well appointed. The rooms and its appointments are modern, functional and in top condition. The floor, the lobby and restaurants are quite and uncrowded. Reception and concierge facilities are efficient and conversing in english was not a problem. The food at the Cafeteria (Marco) was plentiful, varied and tasty. It caters to both Western and Oriental tastes or menus. Breakfast was especially welcome. The hotel is opposite the Yangtze river and there is a tranquil green space or park on it's banks that provides for a long and pleasant walk. Head out of the hotel, left and left again and there are some walkable streets. The wifi in the rooms was pretty good. The swimming pool and gym facilities are also in to shape. I would most definitely stay here again.

I stayed 4 nights over a weekend in December. The hotel is very grand and impressive, the rooms area good size (I had executive), with all the amenities you could require (see my photos). I had room service and breakfasts, both of which were good. My only complaint would be the service at breakfast, I ate early 06:45 everyday and the restaurant was empty with myself and 1 or 2 other diners only. Yet the five waiters on duty were really inattentive, I had to call them over to ask for coffee every time, used plates sat ages waiting to be collected, yet they seemed to have plenty of time to chat, warm their arms over the toaster and admire/comb their hair in the mirrors. A real bonus when staying here is the water front area across the road. With all it's Tai Chi, exercise and water activities make this a really nice area to stay in.
