Renaissance Wuhan4.5 out of 5.0

Standard Renaissance but it is getting a bit old. e.g. hard to find power charging outlets near the bed. But the old wood feeling is nice. It would be good to have more seating in the lobby. New restaurant buffet is quit good. Executive Lounge is very homey but very limited in food. Location: Restaurants available nearby
Pros Glad to hear Wuhan "flavored" mandarin in a Marriott hotel. Feel like going back home. Glad to see Wuhan food in the executive lounge. feel like home X2. Lounge girls are very friendly - wow. Wuhan people could be nice! Front desk people are nice. Both check-in and check-out are smooth. This is probably the best hotel in the region depending on your place of visit. Cons Breakfast staff arranged my seat but it was taken by somebody else after I grabbed my food..reported but received no apology. On average Hyatt Regency optical valley is doing better in overall services. The building is high but the city view is not very enjoying - blame the Wuhan government.
Good choice for business visit. Rooms clean, well prepared, quiet. Breakfast has good choice. Hotel has good location, easy to reach nice restaurants, but meals in this hotel are amazing, you don't need to go out and find a good restaurant honestly. Most importantly, the staff there are really professional, especially the manager Helen Zhang who is from sales team. She helped us a lot to make sure everything was well organised. I must say she did a great job! I will probably come back to this hotel again for next trip, and mostly because of the high quality of service provided by the professional staff.
This is very nice hotel and priced reasonably. It's a relaxing place to stay while in the on business.Club lounge breakfast has a little bit for everyone!Staff are still very friendly ,room was cleaned!Anyway i will come back, thanks club lounge ladies see you soon!
I really enjoy my stay here.especially the executive lounge. The staff was very nice and helpful.Melody and her team provide the excellent service that i never met. Room very clean.I love the chinese food and alcohol dranks that offered.I will come to this hotel again
Have finished a three nigths stay at the renaissance wuhan and received the exceptional service quality from sales manager Helen. It is very rare today for the hotel staff who actually care about user experience and everyone, but the most attensive staff here provided everything beyond expression. Food Studio, the best of restaurants we have visited in Wuhan, the food here is consistently good & has a lot of vegetarian or meat lover options for starters, soups & main course. The front office and Concierge staff in particular are the best and go out of their way to ensure a memorable stay each and every time. Highly recommendation!!
I can’t doubt the keenness of the staff, but this hotel is very tired and disappointing. It has allegedly been renovated, but it looks like they have done it ‘Tesco value’ instead of ‘Waitrose’. Rooms either very hot or very cold, whatever fiddling you do with the air conditioning or heating. WiFi is pants and food scored at 1 out of 5. A good place to go if you are determined to lose wait on a business trip. Some of the staff are nice and they are keen, but those working the hotel bar sneer at you whilst you pay massively inflated prices for bad beer. I’m not precious and have stayed in some very rough dives when I’m business. But for $170+ for a basic room, this is not value for money. My advice : give it a wide berth and get your boss to stretch his budget and stay at The Westin : nice staff, better rooms and high quality food.
The location of the hotel is quite convenient. It is easy to use metro or ask for taxi from receptions. There is a big shopping mall not far away. The rooms are quite spacious and have good view of the city. The staff is quite friendly and do me a lot of favor. The breakfast is so yummy and with loads of choices. I happen to have an Bazilian musical show there. It was fun. haha.
The location is quite central, and this one was probably one of the landmark and best hotels in the area back in the days. But now, even the hotel itself was properly maintained and managed, the renovation is still strongly suggested, especially the room can smell humid and unfresh in the summer. The lounge was the smallest that I have ever experienced in the Marriott chain.
The location of the hotel is convenient and near the museum and east lake. We got many local souvenirs from the super market on the right side of the hotel. The facility in the room is old but the service and breakfast are good. We heard the restaurant was newly renovated and decided to try the buffet for the last dinner of our trip. The beef and seafood were awesome. It would be better if more fruits, steamed vegetables, congee or other healthier food were available.
