This hotel always surpassed my expectations! We were a business trip to Wuhan for 7 days, and have reservations to stay 6 nights at this hotel. As usual, check-in staff got us into our rooms in no time. Access to the executive lounge (on the 21st floor) and complimentary breakfast were very nice. I have stayed twice at this hotel before, but only once every year, but the executive lounge manager recognized me immediately. Nice touch there. It feels really great to feel welcome at a hotel, and that's why I keep coming back. Another reason that draws me back to this hotel is its location. Walk for about 10 minutes, and you are at large shopping mall with shops, restaurants, and supermarkets. Within a 5-minute walk, you are onto a street FULL of restaurants! I think I gained 5 pounds on this business trip. One more reason is that the staff goes above and beyond. I was using an unlocked IPhone (from the US) using the SIM card from China Mobile. For some reason, it's not accessing the 4G network. I went to China Mobile, but did not get it resolved. I was talking to one of the concierges (Kelvin) about this, and he offered to use his IPhone to test my SIM card. It turns out my SIM card is working fine. My IPhone was not equipped to access the 4G network via China Mobile. Kind of disappointed. That same afternoon, I went to the executive lounge, and I was talking to the manager (I think it's Maggie or May). She said that she is using China Telecom, and offered to insert her SIM card into my IPhone to see if it works. Voila! Works! That's the kind of professionalism I was talking about. No doubt that I will be staying here again, again, and again!

I went stay there right after Chinese New Year. Things were not as hectic as I thought, all under control. We were up graded to a suite due to our first stay and my husband is a platinum member. The room was huge, the best thing is the air filter in the living room. We stayed lots of hotels and suites, this is the only one which has a quite air filter. The management team is very efficient, especially the manger at lounge, Melody. She is very helpful and professional! There is a small supermarket 2 mins away, MRT is about 5mins walking distance. We had a great time there, will definitely stay there again if visit wuhan again!

I wish we would have been at this hotel for longer than one night. It was excellent with a very large room and bathroom. Very clean and in good condition. Good breakfast as well! I would return in a heartbeat.

When I booked in the hotel they took a 1000RMB deposit which is fine. What isn't fine is getting a call at 11.00pm when I had just managed to get to sleep and being told my bill was 5000RMB. I went to reception and explained 3500RMB had already been prepaid by my company. They said they know but I was still 500RMB over the 1000rmb deposit (about £60/$70) I said I would settle on departure and they said ok. Only the next night they did the same. On final check out they asked me again to settle the room costs which had already been paid. Total farce. Otherwise the hotel was Ok apart from slow bar service.

Standard Renaissance but it is getting a bit old. e.g. hard to find power charging outlets near the bed. But the old wood feeling is nice. It would be good to have more seating in the lobby. New restaurant buffet is quit good. Executive Lounge is very homey but very limited in food. Location: Restaurants available nearby

Pros Glad to hear Wuhan "flavored" mandarin in a Marriott hotel. Feel like going back home. Glad to see Wuhan food in the executive lounge. feel like home X2. Lounge girls are very friendly - wow. Wuhan people could be nice! Front desk people are nice. Both check-in and check-out are smooth. This is probably the best hotel in the region depending on your place of visit. Cons Breakfast staff arranged my seat but it was taken by somebody else after I grabbed my food..reported but received no apology. On average Hyatt Regency optical valley is doing better in overall services. The building is high but the city view is not very enjoying - blame the Wuhan government.

Good choice for business visit. Rooms clean, well prepared, quiet. Breakfast has good choice. Hotel has good location, easy to reach nice restaurants, but meals in this hotel are amazing, you don't need to go out and find a good restaurant honestly. Most importantly, the staff there are really professional, especially the manager Helen Zhang who is from sales team. She helped us a lot to make sure everything was well organised. I must say she did a great job! I will probably come back to this hotel again for next trip, and mostly because of the high quality of service provided by the professional staff.

This is very nice hotel and priced reasonably. It's a relaxing place to stay while in the on business.Club lounge breakfast has a little bit for everyone!Staff are still very friendly ,room was cleaned!Anyway i will come back, thanks club lounge ladies see you soon!

I really enjoy my stay here.especially the executive lounge. The staff was very nice and helpful.Melody and her team provide the excellent service that i never met. Room very clean.I love the chinese food and alcohol dranks that offered.I will come to this hotel again

Have finished a three nigths stay at the renaissance wuhan and received the exceptional service quality from sales manager Helen. It is very rare today for the hotel staff who actually care about user experience and everyone, but the most attensive staff here provided everything beyond expression. Food Studio, the best of restaurants we have visited in Wuhan, the food here is consistently good & has a lot of vegetarian or meat lover options for starters, soups & main course. The front office and Concierge staff in particular are the best and go out of their way to ensure a memorable stay each and every time. Highly recommendation!!
