I always stay at the Lockkeeper when I'm up visiting family. It's clean, comfortable with plenty of parking and excellent wi-fi (I worked from the hotel one day, including video calls). The staff are always welcoming and friendly and I often eat at the pub when I stay. It would be good to have an ashtray by the hotel, the only ashtrays are currently in front of the pub.

Its not soundproof. Could not sleep all night due to noise from upstairs. Phoned the reception twice and they spoke to them, but still didn't solve anything. Place could do with soundproofing. Bath was dirty had hair all over. For the money I paid, I expected better.

Another great visit

Have been a few times now. Has always the staff meet and greet you and couldn't be anymore helpful to make your stay a great one. The Food is very good and the service is top notch! Hotel accommodation very clean and comfortable. Our family members will be visiting again in the near future. Can't rate the staff high enough.

Stay Marred by Constantly Flushing Toilet

The service from the staff in the pub was excellent but there were some issues with the rooms. Both rooms were very cold and the heating did not work. In room 109 there were two issues, one trivial and the other very serious. The slot where the key card is replaced fell apart and during the second night the toilet cistern went into 'continual flush' mode and was very noisy all night preventing sleep. There appears to be no maintenance plan for 24 hours emergenencies.

We booked this as a pit stop on route to the Dales. Lovely staff and clean nice room. The only thing was the A/C was very noisy in the night. It kept me awake but my husband slept through 😂
