"Hook, Line and Leisure" Spacious lakefront home with 3 beds / 2 bath, Sleeps 8.

Welcome to the "Hook, Line and Leisure", situated along the Little Tallapoosa River which leads into Lake Wedowee. Our spacious lakefront home (1,848 ft.) is located on Lake Wedowee just minutes north of the 431 Marina. With less boat traffic, the peace and quiet from that area of the lake is the true meaning of a vacation.

An open floor plan on the main floor offers a kitchen, pantry, dining area, living area, master bedroom and bath. The Kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and a built-in ice machine to fill coolers, if needed. The dining area has a very large table with chairs for dine-in eating, and just off of the dining area is a large screened-in porch overlooking a view of the lake. The main floor living area has a large, wood-burning fireplace encased in stone with a comfortable L-shaped sofa and 2 comfortable chairs so you can relax and enjoy T.V. via STARLINK Internet. The master bedroom has a king bed, walk in closet, flat screen T.V. and a full bath next to bedroom. Linens will be provided for all beds and towels for bathrooms. Please do not take linens or towels to the lake.

Downstairs on terrace level, you will find a smaller living area with a flat-screen T.V., sofa sleeper, laundry room and a game room for the kids. Also on the terrace level, the 2nd bedroom consist of a queen sized bed, walk-in closet and flat-screen T.V. The 3rd bedroom features a bunk room with 2 twin beds and 1 full bed. There is a full bath on the terrace level as well.

FOR YOUR PROTECTION we have exterior ring cameras and deadbolt locks on all entrances to protect our guests.

If you are an outdoors person, the terrace level offers a large screened-in porch with a large gas grill and a storage box for life vests. You will love the view of the lake with a gradual desent of the stone steps/path to a beautiful, stone patio featuring a fire pit for roasting marshmallows, etc. There are also steps leading to the docks, one stationary dock and the other floating.

A NOTE OF CAUTION: This property is elevated with beautiful views of the lake but there are 25 or more steps to get to the lake. I want everyone to be aware of the steps inside and outside of the home especially persons with mobility issues. Also, we are a house near a wooded area which means we share space with nature and wildlife.

During the fall of the year, beginning October - late March, Alabama Power lowers the lake by 8 ft.. There is a full pool of water during this time of the year. There will be time to explore the area, go hiking, sit around the fire pit and roast marshmallows or hotdogs, take a nap in front of the wood-burning fireplace, read a book or try some of Wedowee’s best restaurants including Bobbers, Boondocks, Ms. Ambers, Jack’s and Subway in the area located on Hwy. 431. Fishing on the lake requires a license that can be purchased online from the Alabama Dept. of Conservation & Natural Resources.
Also, PLEASE BE AWARE: Both Alabama and non-Alabama residents are required to hold and carry on their person, a Certificate/License to operate a watercraft vessel on Lake Wedowee.

Bring your own boat or jet ski. Lake Wedowee does offer rental services for boats and jet skis.
