The best of hotels I have been to so far. Modern and well designed. The rooms offer you the sensation that they were made with love and care as they are different from many others. It feels warm not only a hotel room. I strongly recommend for food, sleep and relaxation
I was looking forward to our stay as my husband had visited at the end of last year. We arrived at about 6pm after a long drive from Swakopmund. On checking in (without a smile or a how are you, how was your trip from the receptionist) we find that our booking had been messed up. Before leaving Qatar my husband emailed Cynthia (2 weeks before) to book our accommodation in which we clearly stated our dates and room requirements (kingsize bed). She did not reply. We tried again while visiting Etosha again without success. After more emails, Executive Excellence Transport (based at the hotel) finally managed to confirm our booking after numerous attempts to get Cynthia to respond. Well surprise, surprise the hotel had booked us into a room with a queensize bed. They're solution was to offer us a suite but we would have to pay an extra 1500ND per day for their mistake. As it was getting late we had no option but to stay for one night (we checked out this morning). The room was ok, however the a/c unit had very bright lights so it was like trying to sleep with the lights on. The bed was too hard and way to small (especially for my husband who is 6ft2"). This morning we were greeted by a member of staff who said that they had found a solution and were going to put us in a suite. Then she said we would still have to pay the difference. We informed her that we had booked another hotel. The customer service and attitude of the staff was 'not my problem'. Would never recommend this hotel.
enjoyed a lovely 2 night stay here. peaceful, professional and comfortable, centrally located and all you need for a home away from home for a business stay. the gardens are well maintained and provide a peaceful backdrop to a window facing room.
Beautiful gardens, a swimming pool, an excellent restaurant, well-trained staff and comfortable rooms all combine to make this the perfect place to stay in Windhoek. It’s a great place to recuperate and regain your bearings after a long haul flight and then, once your visit is over, to stay a day or two before returning. Although situated outside city center, the hotel runs complimentary shuttles to Windhoek. However, f you still need to shop for gifts or souvenirs, rather visit the Grove Mall, a 10 minute drive from the hotel. All the rooms are well appointed; but why not treat yourself to one of the Luxury Suites?
Was only in Windhoek overnight. Flew in just at sunset, leaving the hotel just after breakfast heading to the Namibia Desert. The hotel was modern, well designed and offered a good nights sleep. The morning breakfast buffet was also good.
I stayed here for 6 nights starting Dec 24. The room was very comfortable and quite even though it looked out over the pool area. TV and internet in the room were terrific. Many English speaking stations and movie channels. The internet was quick. I ate at the hotel all 6 days. The morning buffet was delicious and there was a huge choice of foods. The dinner buffet was also excellent and they change up many of the selections daily. The service in the restaurant was outstanding. The Namibians are well spoken and very pleasant. By in large Namibia is a Christian country so you have Christian values. I spend some time at the pool area. My only complaint is there are not enough chairs available so you need to stake your claim early (before 11am). I played golf every day (4 days). The layout was excellent and the greens were surprisingly very smooth, medium speed with plenty of "blades per square inch". The fairways not so, they were burned out with not much grass. But the net result is I would rather have great greens and lousy fairways than the other way around. All in all, this hotel far exceeded my expectations and if I were to go back, I would return to this hotel.
Big hotel catering for many different markets including casino goers. 2 stays here in Nov and Dec. Comfortable though odd number room felt small and basic but was adequate for a couple of nights. Second visit we asked for an even numbered garden facing room; a great improvement, altogether lighter and more pleasant. Food was good at dinner and breakfast; all served on a buffet basis with plenty of local choice. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Tea and coffee facilities in the room.
Stayed here away from the middle of Windhoek City, although out of town with a bit of a drive well worth the trouble as the hotel is very peaceful, gardens are well maintained. Staff are friendly but could be more attentive to guest service, e.g. help guests with their luggage to the room or from the room, had to carry my bags up the stairs from the breakfast area by myself whilst been watched by a number of staff! Also had avoided on the menu but was not available once during my stay, stayed six days? Otherwise a nice hotel well located from the madding crowd, would stay there again.
Excellent service, friendly staff, spacious and quiet room; what more can one ask for on a business trip? The breakfast is excellent with a hyge variety to suit all tastes Room service is well organised and quick
Like most people, I arrived into Windhoek completely exhausted. This hotel was perfect for that first night's rest before starting my trip. The room was spotless and good size with a very comfortable bed. I ate dinner there as I was too tired to eat out. Food was very good. Breakfast was even better. In fact, it was the best breakfast I've had in Namibia! I was on my way down to Sossusvlei, so the location couldn't be more perfect as it's just off the highway that takes you there. Highly recommend!
