The hotel staff were wonderful. They simply couldn’t do enough for their guests. They allowed us to have an early check-in. They supplied us with extra bits and were most helpful when we had a spillage. I cannot praise then enough.

Plus is location. Unfortunately they chose to do a construction project directly below our room in the evening while we were trying to sleep and the nose was bad. Our room refrigerator did not work and overall the room and general condition of hotel is a bit worn and tired.

The service by the staff was impecible, the view was incredible out of our window and it's totally central so you can pop in and out and feel part of the city. It has an old fashioned charm whilst being neat, friendly and efficient. Well worth it.

The location is great but that was the only good thing. First the property didn’t have a bartender.. okay so that was okay to just sit while our reservation was found. Then we asked for our room to be. Learned of the MANY cobwebs in the corners of the room.. I had to storm down and demand it be taken care of immediately to get it done after 3 requests. Then at 7 am we were woken by the construction noise on property. The staff was nice but very young and inexperienced.

Last minute booking as we decided to stay overnight instead of heading home. Reception were a bit rude as we asked if the rooms would come down in price as it was gone 3pm, they suggested we sleep in the basement with the bikes. We booked through Expedia for a reduced price. loud thumping music for a few hours which went on until very late. Maybe a nightclub or venue nearby? We will not use this hotel again.

Lady at reception was very friendly and super helpful. The hotel is dated and tired and needs some tlc. It certainly did the job for the night but for the price, it could be better. Bathroom had a broken tile and the room smelt of smoke when arrived. Bed was comfortable and the tea and coffee facility is a nice touch!
