We have stayed here quite a few times very friendly staff very clean the rooms are spacious plenty of hot water and lovely clean towels the location is very good easy access to motorway prices vary we've always got a good deal by bookin on line certainly will be staying again
When we get the time to visit family we stay here. and I have to say the staff are fantastic and so Friendly, It is so easy to find, plenty of parking. and very clean and great value for money, ( Except when Fairford Air display is on where the prices seem to rocket :/ ) We will be staying here again, Breakfast is very nice, and beds comfortable. If you need somewhere to stay when in Swindon, you can not go wrong with staying here.
First time stayed with Holiday Inn express and found the room too be a good standard, well equipped with added extras of iron and ironing board. Good wifi signal and large TV in room. Bed comfy with good quality pillows. Walk in shower had excellent water pressure. Breakfast was decent with a good selection of cereals, pastries and fruit but limited hot food (bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs and beans) but it is included in room rate. Quiet enough even though it's a stone's throw from M4. Would stay again if in the area.
We had a very friendly, pleasant welcome at reception. Unfortunately we did have to change our room, as there was a noisy party next door (at 5pm!!) , but that was no problem and we were moved immediately. The room was nice and modern, with a settee and there were the usual small offerings of tea, coffee and milk pods. The bed was smaller than we are used to and rather firm, even though I think it had a thin topper on. The restaurant wasn't serving evening meals that night - just snacks, which included soup and jacket potatoes. We were advised by reception that there were other eateries nearby and we walked the few minutes across the very busy fast moving road to the Beefeater pub ( next door to the Premier Inn). You are obviously not supposed to cross this road at this point, as there are no pedestrian lights or pavements. Breakfast was very busy, a little chaotic, but it worked. The breakfast was free and included - cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit, croissants, muffins, toast, scrambled eggs, sausage, baked beans and bacon. There are even bags marked "to go" to take your breakfast with you, if you haven't time to sit! With free parking included, this hotel is definitely good value for money and we will return when we next need to break our journey, or visit the shops in Swindon.
We needed a stopover and chose Swindon as it was a city centre and somewhere we had not previously visited. Booking online was easy and we were made aware there was a daily parking fee of £6. No fault of Holiday Inn, however, we did drive around for a while trying to locate the hotel and (presumably) the adjacent car park. We did eventually find the hotel, in a side street and then discovered the car park was a short distance but across a main road plus the parking fee was £8, and not £6 daily. I did mention this upon check in, but got no response. I notice the fee is still quoted as £6 on the IHG website. The hotel and staff were almost without fault and I have no complaints other than the parking status. Note the hotel, however, does not have food available in the evenings other than a pizza delivery service. We checked out the surrounding area which included several venues for food and bars, which on a Friday night was busy & noisy - not ideal for an elderly couple! Overall mainly because of the parking, we will not use this location again.
I stayed here for one night to save a very early start driving to Swindon from East London. The hotel is very easy to find, signposted off the main road and literally 2 minutes from the motorway (and although it overlooks the motorway, there was no traffic noise). It's pretty standard IGH/Holiday Inn Express in terms of the accommodation but I did find it to be very clean and tidy with everything well maintained. The room had everything I needed including an iron & ironing board, tea/coffee making facilities and a decent size TV. The bed was very comfortable (with the standard niggle about there being no sockets on the wall on the bed-side of the room) and the bathroom had a really good shower that gave a constant temperature so no dancing around from scalding hot to freezing cold! Breakfast was good, if you know what to expect - just the basics but it's included in the price and there was plenty of it and it was very fresh and regularly restocked. The public areas of the hotel were clean and well maintained and I certainly didn't have any problems or issues whilst staying - if the price was comparable, I would definitely stay there again.
Stayed for 2 nights. First in a room for three which was very spacious and idea for a couple and one child. There was a small bathroom so can use it one at a time with a shower (no bath) and no wardrobe perfect for business or few nights stay. Second room was for a couple, a bit small with the same facilities. Good for our needs. Breakfast was good and staff very helpful. Can hear noise from corridor and lift but not from outside, so I slept very well. A lot of space for parking and a few cafes and a shop 5 mins away.
Second stay here within past 4 months. Great location, great staff, clean room, comfy bed, big tv, excellent wifi. Aircon and double glazed on motorway side. Great breakfast and well topped up and plates cleared quick. Cannot beat this place for value for money.Love the ice machine. Lots of parking. ASDA supermarket only a mile from hotel.
It is situated very close to the M4 but the insulation is excellent and we did not hear any sound from the motorway. Our room was comfortable and the staff were friendly. There was plenty of choice at the breakfast buffet.
Really modern and contemporary rooms, the hotel is clean and excellent value. The customer service is brilliant, was checked in by Mexico and she was brilliant. Really lively and informed me of everything, really pleased with the hotel and service.
