Stayed here at The Maldron for two nights in February. Friendly and helpful staff everywhere. The rooms were clean and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities, 30” tv, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and toiletries. Excellent value for money at under £50 per night per room with breakfast. We ate n the restaurant and we were served quickly and efficiently even though the place was very busy. Had an excellent meal. If your going to Wexford, stay here. It’s 20 minutes from the ferry at Rosslare and easy to get to with a pool and spa you’ll not get better value.
Stayed here few times whilst working. Rooms are big and beds comfy. One of the rooms had a lovely balcony which would be great in better weather . Food was quite good too. Breakfast was a little late coming out (we were down at7).. But good choice. My only complaint was it was busy in bar on few of the nights but not enough staff on. One of the nights they struggled for clean glasses. Had music on but didn't start til 10 pm .... Some from 5-7 would be good . Plenty of parking . A little out of town so you need a taxi , a minibus charges €3 per person which can be dear for approx two mile journey. Cheaper to get a car taxi.
Stayed here for 2 nights over the mid term, 2 adults & 2 kids.. room was lovely with plenty of space(needed with 2 kids) pool was Great, and lovely playground. Kids disco was on in the bar and the kids loved it, specials thanks to Will who was so nice and friendly in the bar! only complaint was the dinner we had 1 night in the restaurant was horrible, both got steak 1 with chips 1 with mash.. steaks horrible sauce disgusting and mash was so bad! We also ordered cocktails and sent them back, I have never tasted cocktails so bad before.. Breakfast was lovely though and we fed the kids there on both evenings and there nuggets were grand.. Will definitely be back with the kids we really enjoy the stay
Hi Iren I read the negative reviews before I book the hotel . I was in two minds weather to book or not. Glad I did great hotel room was spotless nice size room as well , have to say the good was very nice dinner and breakfast. I found the staff very pleasant to deal with. Also the hotel has great leisure facilities . I'm glad I didn't take the negative feedback on board . I would definitely recommend this hotel Regards Steven&Jean room 237
Went here for Sunday lunch, never again! Tables not cleaned properly, food arrived quick enough, plates were piping hot but food only lukewarm. We had 1 half portion and 1 full portion, veg was from the freezer, beef was ok ish, slightly tough, roast potato was strange, mashed potato was horrible, no idea how to make a mess of mash but they managed it, awful taste and texture. I did speak to waitress who was lovely, polite and helpful etc, waitress in turn spoke to manager who, apart from not coming anywhere near us himself, thought the right approach was to charge us for half portion and send a message with waitress saying, '' everyone else liked the food''! No apology, nothing, utterly disgusted at the horrible food and slovenly attitude of manager, obviously customer service is not high up on his list of priorities. All in all, NEVER AGAIN.
Stayed here for weekend with a group of friends. Excellent from time of arrival to checkout. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very clean and spacious.the food was second to none. Breakfast was amazing.the choices were unbelievable, from fruits to cereal, breads to pastries, full Irish, everything so fresh and well presented.ate in the bar and restaurant. Fab food in both. We had a great weekend. Planning to book again soon.thank u to all at the maldron😀
I was in wexford for the fureys concert and decided to stay at the Molson hotel, from check in to check out every thing was fine, the room was spotless clean, large and cosy. All the staff from reception to bar were warm and friendly. Only a couple of complaints about drunks making noise late at night, and I think the price charged should have included breakfast. Overall I enjoyed my stay, thank you.
staying here at this fantastic hotel paid €106 for 2 nights the first impressions were great and reception staff were delightful Margaret on reception was a joy room was huge and also the sauna and steam rooms were great all and all great place and great value
If you love kids running around at two in the morning whilst their parents sit drinking at the bar without a care in the world this is the place for you. We tried phoning reception with no success and were kept up, I find it’s the perfect solution to an early start especially if you have a ferry to catch and a long drive the other side. Maybe I’m getting middle aged but our three children also struggled with a decent nights sleep. The hotels saving grace are the staff who were genuinely warm and friendly, unfortunately they did little for the paper thin walls, average food and the role together beds. Our first and last time I’m afraid.
We stayed here for 2 nights for our Christmas party. Our Christmas party night had to be swapped but we were well looked after with some complimentary food & drinks. We had an absolute ball, dj and bar staff both nights were fab & made our stay thoroughly enjoyable.
