We were really positively surprised.Very clean place, everything worked as it was supposed to. Breakfast buffet was great. Everything you could dream of was there. Fresh and good. Regarding parking they have some free places if you get there early. We paid 8€ for having our car in a closed area run by the hotel.
The Breakfast is excellent. The shower is strong and very hot water. Check in was a breeze, very helpful receptionist. Car parking is 8 euros overnight :-( Comfortable clean room. Had dinner at the hotel - horrible steak - avoid if possible!
Like most gent a hotels it seems to have its quirks Double bed but two small duvets is common and annoying The room was cold which I like and the radio eye could be controlled but wonder what it would be like in the summer The tile floor in dinner is probably nice but not sure in the winter Biggest gripe was the continual noises, whirs and other sounds during the night that became quite disturbing. Breakfast was good and actually nice it have a walk down the hill to the twin but be warned if you’re not fit it’s a steep walk-back
Stayed there for 2 nights. Hotel good value and well appointed, spoiled by a shortage of staff which resulted in rooms not serviced until 5 pm after I made a complaint. This applied to other friends all on the 3rd floor. Calls to the front desk took up to 5 minutes to answer, with a reason given, "sorry had many check-ins to deal with". Buffet Breakfast was excellent.
A lot of the staff were super friendly and helpful and the rooms were spacious and well equipped. We found the bar/ lounge staff to be exceptionally good. Great to have table tennis, table football and pool tables available fully kitted up so anyone could play - great fun with kids or other adults and a beer. Downside was that reception was always understaffed with people waiting some time for attention, some of the senior reception staff a bit full of their own importance and lacking customer service basics. Great breakfast spread but the scrambled eggs were cold all three days which was annoying to say the least (especially when cold and just brought out). If they could fix a few things this would be a very good hotel, we would stay there again in any event (we had three rooms)
I stayed here this week for a business trip and this hotel does what you need it to. The rooms are basic but you have free WiFi and there is a gym, sauna, swimming pool and restaurant on site. The hotel is located mid way up a steep hill which is fine going down but coming back up with a heavy laptop bag was a bit of a workout. The staff were lovely and very accommodating, I had early starts and they made a breakfast box up for me at no extra charge so I didn’t miss out. The only down side was as per usual the other occupants who thought it was ok to have conversations in the hallway in the middle the night at loud volumes. Other than the noisy guests this was a great stay.
Stayed her for 2 nights . The Positive : 1) Really friendly Reception staff 2)Really Hot shower, 3) Location, 4) On site restaurant. The Negative: 1) Limited lighting in the room ( Dark Room) 2) Cleanliness of the bathroom- commode was filthy 3) Chargable parking - stayed here before with different management - parking was free not 8 euro per day 4) No English channels except news. 5) Unfriendly staff during breakfasts
I stayed at this hotel from August 29 to September 2nd. I've never had such rude service, inconsiderate treatment and a horrible room. The night I arrived the room was SO hot that it had to be over 45 degrees Celsius. When I went downstairs to ask about a thermostat or if I was missing something the woman at the front desk replied, "that's the way it is, we are sold out". Rude. You would think I could open a window for some air but the window opens into the hallway which was also creepy. So as I laid in bed sweating I had to make sure the curtains were perfectly closed or people in the hallway could see me. I slept maybe 2 hours and woke up in a pool of sweat. Perfect for a long day at work. The shower in the room had a cracked hose and leaked everywhere, the safe and deadbolt did not work either. The next night was much the same but maybe only 40 degrees in the room since it was cooler outside. When I asked for a fan at the front desk they said they didn't have any but promised me another room for my last 2 nights. When I got back on day 3 after checking out in the morning excited to get a new room when I returned I was informed that there was no note left about me getting a new room. I wanted to cry and scream at the same time. Probably because I slept maybe 5 hours in 2 nights. I kept my cool since I really needed to move. The man at the front desk rudely says well the only room we has is really loud! I said I don't care if it's loud as long as it has s window that opens outside so it's not so hot. He rudely huffs and keeps looking through his computer. Finally he gives me a different room that was a thousand times better. The only good thing was the breakfast at the hotel. It was quite good. So that's is why this hotel got a one. I don't think I've ever laid in bed and cried because I was so hot and tired and felt trapped. I tried to book a different hotel but due to a conference in town there were no rooms for hours. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I understand that some things are out of people's control. But the front desk could have been a little nice and maybe even sympathetic. A fan would have done wonders. I am usually an easy reviewer and have stayed at hotter rooms in Cambodia of Asia but at least they have us fans and I expect that heat there. Stay away.
We only stayed for one night and were able to park in the basement. The room was beautifully appointed with lovely furniture and a really comfortable bed. There was an excellent selection of food for breakfast. It was only a short walk into the old town in the evening where we were lucky enough to be able to listen to a concert taking place next to the church.
It was the first time in this hotel and I must admit it was a good one. Room is big and comfortable, parking lot is available and breakfast is of good quality with good variety. Service can improve in the room (no new towels or soaps, only the existing unused ones) and at breakfast (not replenishing orange juice) but these can be easy things to settle.
