The room was lovely and clean, the breakfast was great. The only reason i stopped at that particular hotel is because it had a bar . But i got back to the hotel at 9.10 pm and was told they shut the bar ,which ruined my stay.

access to top floor was not suitable for oap, too many stairs with no help from staff with luggage. Dining area/ bar closes very early and with erratic times. Room was very good, clean and well aired. Shower was a bit weak but hot. Food was acceptable

Always stayed here pre Marston days and loved it but now! Cleanliness of hotel generally not good. Two nights stay, floors not hoovered, tables sticky. Carpets in need of a clean.

The pub is a bit run down but our room was lovely. Big, clean and overlooked the seafront. Shower was poor, very weak flow. Free parking, which swayed the booking for us. Nice staff. Hotel right on the seafront. No good for guests with mobility issues, due to stairs to rooms. We would definitely stay again.

Great location. Good parking. Fabulous staff. The whole building is very tired and worn. Room had great view was clean with a lovely large, comfortable bed. Tea, coffee and complimentary water were provided. Did the job, but would be top notch if things were updated and modernised a little. Would stay again.

A brief stay

One night stay, free parking on site. Very nice, friendly staff. Bar and restaurant had a variety of choices. Breakfast served at a reasonable time. Great location for access to the sea front. Great sized family room, with clean, comfy beds and towels provided. Bathroom could do with decorating, water marks on the ceiling from previous leak, hot water tap on sink was also loose and leaking. I was also unable to lock one of the windows due to a faulty window handle. All issues were reported to staff on check out.

Firstly couldnt park not enough information about height restrictions for vehicle.at to park over amile. Staff didnt have a clue were we could park. No one at front desk to sign in. Stairs no lifts. Bedroom dated. Strong smell of polish but clearly not used properly as dust on chairs etc. Bathroom terrible water didn't run right. Dirty toilet. Rust on bath handles. Not a good experience at all.

This was a truly awful experience. On the hottest weekend of the year, the room we were staying in had no water pressure so we were unable to have a bath or shower. There certainly was no air conditioning which is expected for an old building but the windows were unable to open due to safety features so no air could get into the room and the fan provided in the wardrobe didn’t work. I’ve never been so hot and uncomfortable in all my life. My child who suffers with a health condition was so hot I was concerned for her health. I spent the whole evening spray her with a cooling spray that I’d luckily brought from home and a mini fan I’d brought from home. I would not advise anyone to stay here especially in the summer. When we arrived we were told the cook had walked out so no food, so I guess it just went down hill from arrival.

Very convenient but so shabby no air con no extractor fan in bathroom and drains smelt one seat in bedroom so you have to go to bed to watch tv was there mon to fri bins not emptied no top up of tea bags or toilet rolls just asked on last night if we wanted any tea bags cups not replaced all week also six coat hangers for a family room
