Good hotel, large studio room, excellent shower, good food, would recommend as a good stopover stay, handy having a fitness centre as well, large TVs is good in room, separate ironing board is handy..
This hotel is very good, offering probably the best gym and leisure facilities I've experienced. The staff were helpful and very polite. I did not enjoy the burger from the menu. Dry and over cooked is an understatement. But that is the only negative point. The beds and rooms are very good with a large bar and lounge. There are restaurants near by that are very good within a 3 minute drive.
As family with young children, we all wanted to stay in the same room so we were given a large double with a sofa bed for the six year old and a single added bed for the four year old. The room had lovely views to the garden and a surprise four poster bed for us. The room was clean, spacious and modern, and the bathroom was also large, with a nice big bath and all amenities as expected. We used the pool and the kids loved it, there was a pool-temperature Jacuzzi too so the kids were also able to use that. The staff were polite and helpful, and we all enjoyed the breakfast too, lots of fruit, fresh pastries and full English with delicious mushrooms. I would highly recommend it for the price.
Good value for money as we had a two day break with breakfast on each morning and dinner on one evening for £139. Hotel is not a nice as the Mercure in York, but that is 4 star whereas this is 3 star. Handy bus stop right outside the hotel for journeys into Leeds. Nice clean room and helpful staff. We would stay there again.
Stayed for 2 nights here on a dinner, b&b deal. The location was good for us, out of Leeds town so just drove to the nearest park and ride. Also easy drive up to Harrogate. The service was good & dinner was delicious - the only things from dropping it to below a 3 star rating for me. Downsides for us were the lack of power in the bedroom shower - washing my hair took ages. The swimming pool and changing rooms smelled nasty - like a sewage sulphur type smell and were very dirty. And what we thought was a nice warm jacuzzi to relax in to at the end of a busy day was a whirl pool, so the same tepid temperature as the swimming pool. Quite disappointing really, even more so if it had been for a special occasion or if we'd paid full price for the stay. I wouldn't return.
I went to the Mercure at the weekend for a wellbeing festival. The festival was excellent and will be running again in November. The hotel was spotless, and the staff were friendly and conscientious. Lovely bar area, relaxed and peaceful. Great breakfasts. Rooms spotless. All amenities available. Really enjoyed my stay here.
Pre booked, presented information ,handed back by receptionist , then proceeded to verbally request all details .Reason ,computer system requirement!, Rooms ,restaurant etc.and ,car parking facilities, very good for availability to Leeds/Bradford Airport.Taxi service approx ten minutes to terminal!,
Had a lovely time at this hotel. Upgraded to privilage room with balcony overlooking the garden and views to the forest. Lovely old horel still retaining see character. Ideally positioned on outskirts of Leeds with easy access to centre view public transport. Staff friendly. Only negatives the pool was not warm enough for me and not very big especially with swimming lessons going on. Food that we ate was good.
first visit to this hotel. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Rooms a little dated but clean and spacious. Rooms to the rear are quiet with a balcony overlooking fields. Dinner and Breakfast was first class with attentive service. Leisure facilities are adequate but disinfectant required in the gents changing rooms as the smell from the toilet area was overwhelming. Value for money
Lovely dinner & disco. Room was prettily set up - roses on the table. The best bit for me was the duo performing during the meal - fantastic. Although a lot of the couples left after the meal, a few stayed and enjoyed the disco very much. A good night out and very reasonably priced.
