We stayed at Le Soleil D'or for 5 nights over Christmas. Was a fantastic place to stay. They provided all fresh fruits, vegetables, eggs, milk, yogurt, cookies. The beach cottage was wonderful. Probably one acre of private property with private pool, cabanas beach chairs, etc. Kitchen was fully stocked with equipment. Washer Dryer available. Bathroom was huge with large heavenly bath tub. The farm is great as they have all the fresh fruits and vegetables you need. No need to import. The beach club was shut down but is well-maintained and available for use. Large pool, beach cabanas, very nice restroom facilities. The Staff was very hardworking and catered to our every need. The Chef, cooked great food. We liked everything except the fish and ships, good taste but I was expecting a white flaky fish, not a swordfish. We did hikes on the island. We did not snorkel but mainly because I had a shoulder injury. We would definitely visit again.
Just returned from Cayman Brac... the Soleil seems to be offering lodging only and is largely shut down. It may be closed altogether. The talk on the island is that something has happened. Strongly recommend you research the latest news on this hotel and call them personally.
I'm extremely late in my review - thought I wrote much sooner. We were lucky enough to be one of the first few people to get to experience Le Soleil d'Or having been before it was officially even open. We went for my husbands birthday and this is a one of a kind resort. We stayed at the private villa across the street from the main house -- words can't even describe the peace and serenity that place provides. We did private yoga sessions and massages right on our own patio overlooking the ocean. we did the farm tour - cooking classes - kayaking - personal fitness classes - a private meal on our patio where the chef cooked at our villa - the possibilities of the resort are endless.. if anyone is looking for a one of a kind vacation - this is it <3
My husband and I booked a studio for an overnight trip to Cayman Brac. The management generously upgraded us to the stunning villa. It was over the top! Simply beautiful. While 6,200 square feet and a private pool is a lot of space for two people, it would be a wonderful option for four couples (4 bedrooms). The Le Soleil team went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything that we needed, from pick up/drop off from the airport, to special orders/requests, and treats. I ordered fish and chips for lunch from the room service menu. Delicious, and huge portions (enough for 2). Additionally, the pastry chef made a special anniversary dessert for us. The pool was lovely and relaxing. We did not go to the beach club as there was been quite the seaweed issue lately, and we were only there for one night. I must extend a special thanks to Suanna, the concierge. She was in contact with me several times throughout my planning of our trip, and extended her kindness and helpful nature throughout our stay.
Private beach, private stay in general. We saw less than 10 other people in a full week. World away from Grand. Staff was fantastic, food was unparalleled. I cant think of a detail that was overlooked.
Picture perfect views from the beach cottage where we spent 7 spectacular days. We have never had such great service and stayed in such a clean place. From the day of our arrival we were waited on hand and foot. The service was so personal, they knew when we were going to eat, what we liked in our fridge and when we wanted to go places they always had a car waiting. Ali and I am filling this out so late but the wonderful girl who also took care of us, I can't remember your name...both of you were amazing and so attentive. The food...oh my gosh the food you can't get bored eating at the restaurant every night. Everything was so fresh and one day I asked if I could have a certain type of drink and they picked all the fruit and veggies for it that morning to have for me at dinner. The beach club was great and the bartenders there were the best we have ever seen, down to earth and cater to your every need. Rafi and sorry can't remember the other ones name, you made our trip super special when you had our goodbye drink ready. We can not wait to come back and hope everything is the same and you have our cottage ready for us...we will be in touch and look forward too your help with our trip to the Maldives! Two of my friends and I stayed at the Beach House for 3 days/ 4 nights. The house was beautiful and spacious.....each bedroom with its own bathroom (3 bedrooms). Two on the ground floor and one master area upstairs with its own living area and tv. No tv downstairs but a nice living room area and dining and a full kitchen. It had everything you could want ....appliances, cutlery, dishes, glasses, etc, etc, etc. Fully air conditioned. Lovely outdoor patios (one off the upstairs area and one downstairs), a good sized cabana and large pool area and good size pool. Everything immaculately maintained. Situated directly next to the ocean you can hear the roaring of the waves if outside or if you leave the doors open. If you prefer it quiet just close the door and it is as peaceful as you could ask for. The staff were all extremely pleasant, professional and helpful. The food was amazing! The house was stocked and replenished as needed with homemade yogurt, fresh milk, fresh made almond milk, fresh fruit juice, granola, fresh fruit, fresh bread, homemade cookies, tea, coffee, butter, jam. WiFi was good. Some board games stocked in the cupboard so that was a pleasant surprise and good fun. Airport transfers were easy and on time. Approximately 10 minutes drive from the airport. Bicycles available at the house if you wish to go for a pleasant ride. Scooters available from the main hotel area. Spa services are available.
My best friend and I traveled to Cayman Brac for a much needed girls trip to get away from the craziness of New York City. We arrived to what felt like our own private oasis. Everything onsite was incredibly beautiful...the grounds are kept impeccably clean, and the beach and pool are breathtaking. We dined both at the beach club and the onsite restaurant, both were outstanding. The beach club had one of the best pina coladas we've had. The food at the restaurant was out of this world...all of the ingredients are locally sourced from the 20 acre farm on top of the bluffs...everything was so fresh and unique. The chocolate lava cake was to die for. The service was top notch, everyone who works onsite is incredibly nice...we had a family emergency and unfortunately had to leave two days early, but the staff was extremely helpful in accommodating us. We are grateful for the kindness we received and can't wait to return. I highly recommend Le Soleil d'Or for anyone in need of a quiet retreat into perfection and bliss.
Our stay was nothing short of storybook excellence! Our every need was anticipated and the service of all the staff was anticipatory. We were royally "spoiled". The welcome, freshly made yogurt, milk, granola and limeaide from your farm was amazing! Everything was so fresh and natural. To be able to pick your favourite fruit, veggies and herbs and then have them to enjoy in our room, is extra special. The rosemary plants, in front of the beach cottage entrance, smell divine and are so uplifting. The dining experience was out of this world. The food perfect & the service was super friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the sunset on the private pool deck as the ocean breezes totally relaxed us. It's so hard to return to the hustle and regular food but we're already planning our return trip with our family, God spares life. I highly recommend Le Soleil D'or to anyone looking for a getaway from reality to a 'fairy tale' storybook vacation!
This place was magical. From the location, to the privacy, but specially the people of the hotel and the island, we just couldn't ask for more. We stayed at the beach studio 4 nights between 9/3-9/7/2017 and were completely awed by the island and the hotel. The room was perfect, just what we needed, and right on the private beach and pool. The beach was out of this world, specially due to the privacy and few people there. Highly recommended to engage in as many activities as possible (snorkeling, scuba, farm and island tour). We also stopped by MR Foots house (MUST GO) and he even let us in and explained his art. The food at the hotel is top of the line and if you're looking for something more local, try Barracuda bar (awesome pizza). we couldn't ask for more and we will be back 100% sure.
