Ke Villas are on the northwest shoreline of Tortola. The view of the sea and Jost Van Dyke is tranquil. The sunsets are amazing. The apartments are charming, simple and clean. Each apt has a balcony or patio. They have a kitchenette with all you need. A Veranda bar is on the property offering morning coffee and evening drinks. This is a family run business, with wonderful hospitality. Suggestions for local restaurants were spot on. Easy driving to Cane Garden Bay, Smugglers Cove, and west end ferries and marinas. JC car rental can be arranged also. 4 wheel Jeeps are available, with pick up and drop off at ferries, marinas and airports. One of the best vacations in years!!
My wife and I actually found this great little group of rental villas in Tortola while driving by and commenting about how nice they looked. Then we noticed they were vacation rentals. What a great find. The management staff in on property and always available, friendly and attentive. There is a small sitting area out front of each villa and even a small bar on the property. The amazing beach bars and restaurants of Cane Garden Bay are all a short drive away and Road Town is 10 min over the hill. There is a small grocery store minutes away as well. The villa is spacious and newer with a full kitchen and stocked with pots, pans, plates and bowls and enough utensils to make any meal. We made breakfast every morning and sat out on the patio looking out to Jost Van Dyke. We were very happy at Ke Villas and we will be back.
I stayed here for a few nights while visiting the islands for my birthday this year. I was pleasantly surprised by how adorable this place is. I had a unit on the lower level and was surprised how spacious it is. There is also a bar on the property where anyone can come hang out. He also serves breakfast in the morning. The property is across the street from the ocean with a great view of Jost van Dyke. The sunsets are beautiful! The owner is kind and helpful. He knows the island and can give directions and restaurant recommendations if you ask. I had a great time here and would definatly stay here again.
This small boutique complex sits across the street from a rocky beach with a direct sight of Jost Van Dyke. The rooms are clean and the landscape is beautifully maintained. We had breakfast there every morning with coffee or freshly brewed tea made from herbs in their garden. What makes this place extra special are the owners, a wonderful father and son team, who exemplify customer service. We can't thank you enough. Until next time. Highly recommend Ke Villas!
My husband and I recently stayed at Ke Villas. It was a true gem! The place is impeccably maintained and spotlessly clean. You can tell that the owners take pride in their property. They were delightful hosts. The property is on the west side of the island of Tortola. So we had the pleasure of enjoying beautiful sunsets each night. The owners were very helpful in sharing restaurant, beach and snorkelling ideas and locations. They serve breakfast and have a bar. They made us the most delicious omelettes with vegetables and herbs fresh from their onsite garden. I would highly recommend staying here.
I cannot say enough nice things about this place. First the location is great, right on the ocean, far enough from the main town to give you a laid back quite feel but close enough to get anywhere in a few minutes. The two who run it are a father and son, two of the nicest people I have ever met and will do anything they can to make you feel welcome and have a wonderful time. There is also Jiggy who is the grounds keeper and the most knowledgeable person I have ever met when it comes to anything that grows, he was also nice enough to find my wife some fresh bananas and mango that were growing nearby when she mentioned she saw some. The rooms are modern and comfortable and each one has a perfect little porch to sit on and watch the ocean. They also just started to serve breakfast at a little restaurant/bar on the property that is perfect for meeting other guest and locals and planning your day while watching a beautiful sunset. The restaurant is almost everyday and ran by one woman who is probably the best chef on the island. We ate at all of the local restaurants there D’colepot, Sugar Mill, Sabastian’s and none of them were better then what she was cooking, and she is by far cheaper. If I am ever planning a trip to the BVI’s again I will not hesitate to stay here again.
We had a magical 14 days at Ke Villas on Tortola. The Villas were in a fantastic location with amazing sea views. The hosts, Javan, Charles and their family were very friendly and welcoming. The villas were clean, spacious and well equipped with everything that you need. The Balcony was awesome and views were stunning. We felt safe the whole time. The restaurant and bar at Ke Villas was great offering a superb and very tasty menu which changed daily with a variety of fresh meals. Ke Villas was located near to other local amenities, great restaurants and beaches. We would like to say a big thank you to all of the staff at Ke Villas including Nicky and Jiggy the gardener who were all very kind. Javan and Charles were very helpful and we benefitted from their local knowledge. We are very sad to have left and would definitely like to come back in the future. Autumn and Mark
Charles and son “J” and very welcoming and go out of their way to help with with anything you need. There is a small restaurant serves breakfast (love the home made herb tea). Dinners as well. I would reserve a car next trip as the Taxis have great service but to go to other beaches you need transportation. You can walk to a small market and a couple great restaurants. Very laid back small Hotel perfect for anyone needing a quiet, clean and safe stay. Tortola was devastated by the hurricanes last year and you can see the damage but the people here are working hard and rely on our tourism for support. We had a wonderful stay and will be back. Christmas 2018.
My wife and I spent 2 nights. Great patio, super nice owners and amazing views. If you are coming to Tortola, put this on top of your list. We watched and listened to the ocean our entire stay. The restaurant/bar onsite was fantastic. We loved this place. Plenty of parking and the owners also have a cousin who drives a taxi. She is great and drove us all around the island.
Excellent. The owners are super friendly and the views are stunning. Perfectly centralized between all surrounding islands that you can easily either visit them all in the same day or you can find one that you want all to your self for the day. Disclaimer - WATCH OUT FOR SEA TURTLES ANYWHERE and EVERYWHERE YOU VISIT.. We rented a boat for three days and spent all or part of the time in/on the following - Jost Van Dyke/White Bay (highly imperative - SEA TURTLES - cut motor to 3-4 knots max) Little Yost Van Dyke, (not imperative) Cane Garden Bay, (highly imperative BUT CAUTION, SEA TURTLES.. Cut the motor to 3-4 knots MAX and stay to the right of the green buoy keeping all eyes on the water (this includes everyone on the boat) as to be on the lookout for them. We saw a green sea turtle swimming directly next to us, pretty much on the moor so just please pleae be careful. There is NO REASON whatsoever a boat motor needs to be cranking into bays or harbors anyway, but it happens way more than it should. I can't reiterate that enough) Virgin Gorda/The Baths (highly imperative) Sandy Cay, Sandy Spit, (both imperative) Smugglers Cove/Beach, (imperative) Peter Island (*not currently imperative because the Island is still technically closed from Irma in 2017 but they are working dilligently to bring tourism back to the Island so it will move to imperative. That said, just check with locals or the dockmaster in Nanny Cay.) Dead Chest Island/Deadman's Bay (not imperative, can't access the island due to rocks) All of those spots are within a 30 minute (absolute max) boat ride from Nanny Cay Marina, which is only a 5 minute drive down the road from Ke Villas. Those are locations we chose from research but there are many many others and all within the same 30 minute window. If you're uncomfortable at the helm or if you just want to relax and let someone else handle boating duties, that's fine as well because private sails/charters/shuttles/ferries are also 5 minutes away. For food, there are many options within walking distance or a short drive. Groceries/supplies/ATM (*the only one currently working (as of 09/27/2018) in the immediate area is in Nanny Cay Marina*) so this PART IS IMPORTANT-- Plan accordingly and bring a bunch of cash.. Don't assume every establishment accepts credit/debit cards because they don't and you just don't want to be in that spot anyway; especially when it's time to settle up tabs/pay for meals. This didn't happen to us, but totally could have had we not planned accordingly. Each day varied as far as how much cash we spent but again, we had the boat for all three days (full days and generally just anchored or moored somewhere around the aforementioned islands/locations. If I had to put a number on it, I would say we spent anywhere from $100-$125 per day, (2 people total) with the caveat being that I don't operate any vessel under the influence of alcohol (not a big drinker anyway but nor would I ever) so we literally had zero alcohol for at least 3 days and that's being generous because I want to say it was more like 5 or 6 days (out of 8) that no alcohol was consumed. I know my wife had some (6 drinks max - all days combined) but for for me personally, I didn't have a drop the entire time vacationing because regardless of me not operating a boat under the influence, the sun wears you out from either being on the water all day or just sitting at the beach. My point being, use the $100-$125 range for 2 adults for food, non-alcoholic drinks and tips. This includes daily trips to the store for supplies/snacks/water/soda/juice/etc. for the boat for the day as well as lunch and dinner. We pretty much just had light snacks on the water but we went through a ton of beverages because you will just get dehydrated if you don't. The rooms all either have balconies or patios for guests to sit outside and look/listen to the North Atlantic. Side note, the Caribbean Sea is on the other side of Tortola but that's where you will be docked to hop on and off if you decide to rent, which I HIGHLY recommend doing so, Look no further than "Island Time Rentals", they were fabulous as well. There wasn't any question whatsoever "if" we were renting a boat, the only question was for how long. I'm not giving advice here, but look at it this way, you have to pay something (which you do - minimum $25 per-person for the Yost ferry & $30 minimum per-person for the Virgin Gorda equivalent, round trip) if you want to visit all the best spots (which you do, I promise) that this area has to offer, you might as well just rent the boat for an entire week and that way you're on your own time and not waiting/relying on others to ferry or shuttle you back and forth from island to island. There is just no flexibility and we don't like operating that way, especially on vacation. Come and go as you please, the boat is literally yours from the moment you launch from the dock on day number one. A tip, (again not advising) would be to check the the local area for weather conditions and plan boating days accordin!gly. Depending upon the time of year you travel, tides and sea conditions vary. We went in September and didn't have any problems. I realize this is a lengthy so apologies, it wasn't originally supposed to be but there is just so much here to offer. Safe travels.
