We stayed for 2 nights and were quite pleased. The rooms are modern and clean. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is also good. You can rent well maintained bikes to go the centre which takes you around 15 minutes. It takes you around 5 minutes to get to the next bus stop.
Booked 2 Superior rooms in January, arrived in May and was told there was only one superior room available. Disappointing. Room good all we needed, good breakfast selection but poor choice in the Restaurant for dinner, especially as one of our party is vegetarian .
Stayed 4 nights, room was quiet at rear of hotel with comfortable bed and adequate room to move. Modern in-room shower facilities, washroom, TV, fridge, room safe, desk and pull-out sofa. Excellent breakfast with good choice of coffees, fruits, fresh baked breads, buns, cold cuts, cheeses, yogurt, bacon, sausages, eggs, etc.Ample comfortable seating inside as well as terrace. Staff very helpful and friendly. Location approximately 7-8 min from City Centre of Breda in the suburbs, just off the highway with plenty free parking spaces.
I stayed here for 3 nights in the middle of May. It was clean and tidy, the breakfast was of good quality and the staff were friendly. The only negatives are that it appears to be in the middle of nowhere! The staff couldn't tell me where the nearest bus stop was, and taxis in Holland are very expensive!! Also, I thought 6.80€ for 500ml of beer at the hotel bar was excessive! I think Holland is just expensive full stop. Also worth pointing out, if you have an early Sunday morning flight from Eindhoven, say 8am like I did, there are no trains running to get you there for 6:30/7am. You will have to pay for a taxi, which I had to haggle to 85€!! Some inconsiderate guests banging and crashing at 4am also didn't help get a good nights sleep on one night.
Bedside table had water rings ....restaurant limited menu and service very long. Bedding excellent though! Air conditioning not working in the room Overpriced hotel even by Accor standards and not at all up to the usual Novotel criteria. Why such a difference from one Novotel to the other?
young staff not sufficiently trained, not service oriented and not in line with the values of the Accor Group (ref : kitchen closing at 0934 pm, unable to provide accurate invoices and proofs of credit card payments)
It's not my first time at Novotel Breda. I always have the feeling of being home. Great welcome and assistance from staff and always with a big smile and pleasure to serve and assist you. All rooms have good views in excellent condition. Free parking available which is great. 25 minutes of a nice walk to the center or just take a bus. I tried them all 😊. Never been with the family but sure will stay there.
it's a nice hotel but we were disappointed about the service and accuracy of the information from 2 staff members On saturday evening and sunday morning we made a telephone call ( so twice!) if there was a possibility to watch the football game feyenoord-psv, twice it was confirmed. Not in the room but in the lobby But when we checked in reception told us this is wrong info because there is no fox sports eredivisie in the whole hotel.Upon my question why it was confirmed twice she could not explain, and said sorry.
As I am travelling overnight and I saw that the hotel was not fully booked (and it still is not) I called and ask for early check in. I could understand any one of three possible answers: (i) that for whatever policy reason they don't do it or (ii) since they have unused rooms of course I would be welcome if the rooms are not unexpectedly occupied late at night (iii) one of the unused rooms would be made available for a reasonable supplement, Instead, after the individual on the phone took some time to consult how to respond I was told that for a room that was priced at around 90 euros there would be a charge of 10 Euros per each hour of the early check in; so my arrival at around 9am would mean a payment of 140 euros for what was one of many unoccupied rooms. Clearly the hotel management sought to make the most of a traveller who required early check in. I asked if this hourly charge represents the hotels policy and they confirmed it does, which is odd given how long it took them to make the 10 euros/hour offer. As a matter of principal I will of course not stay with them now or in the future.
Stayed for 5 days on a business trip. Room was a good size with a sofa and desk. Bed was a little hard and I had trouble with the heating but the staff were very helpful and found a solution. Room was clean. No noise. Restaurant is decent and wait staff were great. It is out of the town so a car or taxi is needed to get into the town center, but very easy. For the price it was definitely worth it.
