A great place to escape the city hassles and loudness. It's tranquil and narural setting makes it the perfect place to be. Friendly staff and excellent customer service. The pool area is ideal for friends and family entertainment. The hotel facility is affordable and comfortable. I would stay there again and encourage others to go and enjoy the hospitality and tranquility.
Having spent 1 night and 1 day at the hotel, I can safely say I had a pleasant experience in their care. The manager is courteous and professional. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The room stayed in was comfortable and based on my limited room experience, very spacious. The lights, Ac and minifridge Worked fine. The wifi was problematic at first however eventually connected. No significant complaint there. The restaurant and bars prices are very good. Though a few items on the menu was not available, the sandwiches, samosas, and burger and fries were nice. Kudos to the short fair skin waitress who would have handles all my orders during the say. She was prompt and helpful. All in all, it was a lovely weekend with my "better half". I would definitely recommend for a weekend getaway.
I stayed at this property in June, 2017, it is located in an area that is easily accessible to transport, its a short distance away from Georgetown, by either bus, taxi or boat (crossing the Demerara river). The rooms are fairly comfortable, the staff is very friendly and helpful, overall I would recommend here for the low budget traveler.
It is a nice hotel, would not call it a resort. The staff provided excellent service, were professional and accommodating. The standard room is the best value but not the best hotel experience, would not recommend. I stayed in the standard and executive rooms. Issues with the standard room: fridge not working, no hot water in the shower, the AC did not work, the sheets were stained. Definitely recommend the executive room. Would stay here again.
Be very aware when visiting this resort that you will be charged a 4% free for using your credit card and also your bank will charge you an international free if you are travelling from outside of Guyana. The staff is very friendly especially the girl at the front desk. Make sure you have breakfast well worth it she will put a smile on your face even if you are having a bad day. Don't order food at the grill it is overpriced for no reason walk to the main road catch a taxi for 80 Guyana dollars it will take u to downtown and u can eat shop or take the ferry to Georgetown. Enjoy your time here if you choose to visit but it should not be called a Resort in my opinion. The rooms are too small the bed is horrible water pressure on 2 and 3 floors are the worst.
It was a cheap but nice hotel. There was free breakfast every morning. The bar was nice to go. The pool was just perfect. There were palm trees around. I would recommend this hotel especially their banquet facilities. They have 3 floors .
This review may be long but please take the time to read it. The outside of the building looks good but as soon as you step into the rooms you would realize you made a horrible mistake in booking this resort. The owner only wants to collect money and it seems as if none is being re-invested in the property. Rooms The rooms are very small. Imagine they have 1 towel in a room which is booked for 2 persons. When you ask for the second towel you would get it but why have to ask in the first place. Adult movies are shown on the tv so please be careful when staying there with children. The reception area has a sign stating that rooms are cleaned on request, a request was made for one of our rooms to be cleaned however this was never done. The ceiling in the shower of my room had water flowing from it (see photo attached) apparently the shower in the room above me was leaking. There was a vacant room which was flooded and the water was all over the corridor, for the 5 days we were there no one cleaned it up. This is a prime breeding ground for mosquitos. Breakfast Breakfast is 2 slice of bread and whatever they choose to give you, when you are seated they would just place the food in front of you, you are not given a choice. 1 member of my group asked for eggs instead of sausage, he was told that they do not have eggs, only to see the persons next to us being served eggs. Only coffee and lipton tea is available, they have no other tea for children, we bought our own. Breakfast does not include fruits as advertised. Staff There is a fair skinned girl in reception who is very rude and speaks rough with guests, perhaps she doesn’t realize that without guests she wouldn’t have a job. Other points Electricity goes often and for long periods of time, I’m not sure if this is a normal thing in Guyana but the hotel claim to have a generator but we still had to sit in the dark for hours. Water is another major issue at this hotel. The only positive things I notice is the a/c and wifi worked fine. You could get much better hotels in Guyana for a comparable price. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Worst experience i have ever had. Rooms are dirty and old. showers don't have heads, no towels and very old nasty sheets on bed. The fine dining they state in just a bar that sells chips.... WORST TIME EVER WE LEFT RIGHT AWAY.
Stayed here twice, each time for a few days. My experience wasn't bad. Room was a bit small and basic, nothing much on tv, bed was comfortable. My room had a small fridge (I don't think all rooms have one), there were no mosquitoes. Initially a/c was a bit of a problem for me as it took a while to cool the room, but not a problem after it did. Compared to the first time I stayed here when the place was new itz a bit run down now. Complimentary breakfast was basic (toast) so I ate out, there is wifi in the room, and there is a small outdoor pool. Location is not the best as they are outside of Georgetown (not a problem for me cuz I had a rental car). To get to Georgetown from here you need to cross the Demerara bridge which has a long line at peak hours. Otherwise, very easy to get a taxi to and from Georgetown (about 15/20 mins once no traffic). I would recommend this hotel if you are on a budget, not looking for anything special, and don't need to be in Georgetown.
My husband is from guyana and I am from trinidad, I was excited to see where he was from until I stayed at aracari resort, service staff was fairly welcoming, but the mosquito was out of control, and the breakfast was thevworst, nothing thatbi expected. I have traveled to many countries and stayed at many resorts/hotels but I could and would never recommend this place. On top of false advertising, my husband and I asked to speak to management, which seemed to never be available. On our check in day after 12 my husband and I went at the pool bar where we saw staff cleaning to pool and a walk way around it with children who parents started removing some of them due to how unsanitary it was.
