Stay in Welaka

I rented this house for a group of friends which include 4 couples. The house suited all our needs. It is in a great location for our vacation wishes which mostly included fishing. Having our boats tied up outside and ready to go each morning made life easy. We also went to the Beach, Silver Springs, Salt Springs, and dinner in DeLand which all were within a reasonable driving distance. We hope to go back again some time.

Fishing trip

House was very nice clean and comfortable. The description was somewhat misleading. There are no boat slips you tie up to the dock. It advertises a covered boat dock which it has but you can’t use the covered slip for your boat. We bought charcoal to use the charcoal grill which is tiny and very rusted. The dock was nice. All in all I will probably be back again.

Peaceful and So Comfotable

This is our second stay at this property and certainly won’t be our last. On site concierge is on top of everything. Beautiful home on the water. You won’t be sorry if you decide to stay here.

Home was super clean. Spacious. The host was very quick on any questions we had. This is on a very fish active canal. We caught fish right off the deck. I can't say enough about this place. I will definitely be back!

5 Day Trip in Welaka

Interior of the house was very good and comfortable. The exterior needed some attention. The grass was not cut and the various sprinkler system heads needed adjustment, mainly the head by the steps going out the back door. It was only spraying in one direction, which was directly in front of the steps, leaving a mud puddle in front of the steps. There were various other ones also that needed attention. The door leaving the back porch was sprung also and would not shut completely. Being able to keep our boats tied up on the dock was great but with one problem---the dock is to high in relationship to the boat, and any tide affects on the water level only manifested the problem Getting in the boat was one thing with a heck of a step down. Getting out the boat onto the dock was a chore for an older adult. The dock needs a step down level before you either step down into your boat, or step up out of the boat. Based on this only condition, I would not rent the home again, which was one of the main reasons I rented the home to start with

Serene getaway

This house is truly a home away from home. The jacuzzi bathtub was awesome!! So relaxing, I got it in once but my husband got in twice! This place is huge with 4 really nice size bedrooms. And the dock is very spacious as well. I will definitely come back here with more family next time and rent the available pontoon boat. Loved, loved, loved this place!

Nice weekend getaway!

This home worked well for our group. We ended up renting a pontoon boat elsewhere because the one onsite had no bimini top to shade us from the sun, but we thoroughly enjoyed fishing from the dock at the property. Easy access to St. John's River
