Weilburg is Great!!! / hotel... some how to old!!

Weilburg is a great place to visit but this hotel is very old standards; room is in October 2013. Great condition however decorations and accessories are / feels like back in the 80’s with small windows and awkward layout. Next to reception is one desktop with internet connection for free; other then that… even in the lobby you find Wi-Fi but with high connection cost. Breakfast is decent; plenty of free parking. Excellent location for old town lovers!! Very romantic!

Selected for its character for an overnight stay

Impressive looks with welcoming courtyard. Well appointed but rather characterless. Long corridors with interconnecting fire doors made for a lack of cohesive feel to the building. Restaurant had little character and the menu tried to be fine dining but didn't succeed. Overall a disappointing stay.

SchlossHotel- right in the castle

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Pretty good english. Room was very spacious, especialy for Europe. Hotel is part of the castle and right in the oldest part of town. Pool was pretty cold although heated. But having an indoor pool is pretty rare in Europe and there is a town public pool just minutes away if you want to really swim. There was even a wedding on the weekend and my granddaughter thought that she was the princes of the castle! Great fun!

Zentral gelegenes Hotel unter Denkmalschutz

Wir waren zu zweit zu einem Kurzurlaub in Weilburg in der Winterzeit und wollten ein zentral gelegenes Hotel mit Sauna und Schwimmbad. Ausserdem war uns ein historisches Ambiente wichtig.

Direkt am Weilburger Schloß gelegen, aber .....

Auch an einem Ostersonntag darf man in einem 4* Hotel erwarten, daß das Zimmer aufgeräumt wird und Handtücher vom Saunabesuch getauscht werden; keine Reaktion auf die Reklamation. Die Saunagröße ist bestenfalls für ein Einfamilienhaus angemessen. Hier wurden offenbar nachträglich Schwimmbad und Sauna "reingepfrimelt" ohne den Blick für's Detail.

Winziges Zimmer

Das Hotel entspricht nicht der Bewertung von 4 Sternen. Während man für die meisten Beurteilungskriterien 3 oder 4 Punkte vergeben kann, zieht die Grösse (winzig) und der Ausblick (5m weit auf ein Dach) des Hotelzimmers die Gesamtbeurteilung nach unten. Von dem Zimmer abgesehen erfüllt das Hotel die Erwartungen an ein 3 Sterne Haus.

Geen oog dicht gedaan

Aangekomen in het hotel werden we ontvangen door een allervriendelijkste receptioniste. De kamer was reeds gereserveerd, zodat we direct de sleutel in ontvangst konden nemen. De afmeting van de kamer viel tegen, we hadden meer verwacht van een kamer van een vier sterren hotel. Wel was alles aanwezig wat betreft het te verwachten comfort, maar een beetje op elkaar gepropt. De kamer was gelegen boven een zaal, waar de avond en nacht van ons verblijf een huwelijksfeest werd gehouden. Dat hebben we geweten, het geluid drong op alle manieren door tot de kamer. Op de vraag bij de receptioniste of we een andere kamer konden krijgen werd, na enige aarzeling, een andere kamer aangeboden. De nieuwe kamer was nog kleiner dan de eerste. Ook het comfort bleef ver achter. We hebben de kamer wel geaccepteerd om van de herrie van het feest af te zijn. Toch hebben we die nacht geen oog dicht gedaan. De kamer lag aan de binnen plaats, waarvan een parkeerplaats van was gemaakt en de rookruimte was gesitueerd. De gasten van het feest, welke wilden roken deden dit op de binnenplaats. Natuurlijk ging dit gepaard met de gebruikelijke praatjes. Uiteraard werden de mensen steeds luidruchtiger naarmate het feest vorderde. De geluiden en de herrie die dit met zich mee brachten gingen door tot ver na middernacht. Een positief punt is het ontbijt buffet, dit was goed.

... von einem Schlosshotel mehr erwartet ...

Außen schöne Schlossanlage, Innen ein "Traum" in braun. Die Einrichtung ist zu "neu" um als Antik zu gelten und zu "alt" um modern zu sein. Durch die Fenster zieht es, was bei Außentemperaturen von -5 C° sehr unangenehm ist. Dafür ist der Ausblick super. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und besonders beim Frühstück sehr aufmerksam. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist standard.

Goed hotel

Ideale locatie in het midden van het stadje. Gratis parking op de binnenkoer van het hotel. Goede ontvangst. Airco op de kamer mistten wij wel. Het was er best warm en door het kleine raampje kwam niet veel frisse lucht binnen. Wij lagen aan de rivierkant, wat best rustgevend kan zijn, maar 's nachts was dit voor ons best lawaaierig met het raampje open en het dicht laten was dan weer te warm. De douchestraal mocht krachtiger. Het ontbijtbuffet was piccobello in orde. De 2e morgend wel lang moeten wachten vooraleer er koffie werd aangeboden.

Wunderbares Hotel in Weilburg an der Lahn

Das Hotel liegt in imposanter Lage mit blick auf die Lahn. Das Zimmer bot einen herrlichen Blick über die Lahn und Weilburg. Das Restaurant war sehr geschmackvoll für ein stilvolles Essen bereitet. Die speisekarte war sehr ansprechend und die Qualität ausgezeichnet!

Nett mit Charme der 70er

Kleinstadt an der Lahn mit Charme und Patina - Hotel mit Charme der 70er (das "Fernsehzimmer" könnte eine TV-Kulisse sein) mit netten und hilfsbereiten Mitarbeitern. Die Zimmer haben alles was man braucht, aber auch keinen besonderen Komfort. Ordentliches Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.
