We had a great weekend stay! The place was clean and comfortably slept 17 people. The owner was extremely responsive. The kitchen was well stocked and it was helpful to have an additional fridge in the basement. There was a large table that seated everybody. The drive there didn’t have many street lights, but all the roads were paved and there is plenty of parking space at the house. The lake was nice and we enjoyed the canoes and kayaks provided as well as life jackets and beach towels. 12 people could easily sit around the fire pit and there was plenty of firewood. The area was very peaceful and the leaves were really pretty in the fall!

This home on Lake Wedowee is absolutely amazing, as well as the host. It is on the lake, which is a plus, clean and spacious with all if the amenities you need. I highly recommend this home for your stay on Lake Wedowee.

Great property for family gathering

Perfect for our large multigenerational family. Lots of space for everyone. Kitchen was stocked with plenty of plates, cups, and flatware. Great comms with the host. We will definitely book again!

Refreshing Family Retreat

Our family found this home to be lovely, spacious and a perfect fit for us. Whether it was skipping stones in the lake, making s’mores by the fire pit, playing games or watching deer in the surrounding woods, we all had a wonderful time together in this beautiful location. It was close enough to Georgia to make a trip to Callaway Gardens where we enjoyed their Fantasy of Lights. The local Kiwanis park had nice hiking trails and a tractor museum which was enjoyed by all. We highly recommended this beautiful lakeside home.

Amazing Christmas weekend

We had a great say. This was a Christmas weekend celebration with extended family. We need some place with lots of bedrooms and pet friendly for our 6 dogs. This is it. No issues at all. We had a great stay. Communication with owner with amazing. David was always responsive! Looking forward to rebooking for next Dec

Annual Wedowee Family Vacation

We loved our time at this house and on Lake Wedowee. It was perfect for our large family. We enjoyed the easy access to the community boat ramp, the steps leading to the dock from the home were not too steep. The house was roomy for our family of 20. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great Property for Church Group

Our church group rented this property for a weekend retreat. The place was beautiful and accommodating. We had a great time. The host, David, was communicative and helped us fix a booking error we had made. Perfect for what we needed and the host was super helpful. Highly recommend!

Surprise 90th birthday weekend!

This property is perfect for big family gatherings! It was wonderful to have the long table in the main living room for a big group game times, and meals on the rainy days! The view and access to the lake was great- we were thrilled to be able to use the two kayaks and canoes on the sunny days! Our family also enjoyed the fire pit and a long morning walk around the neighborhood! We made wonderful memories and plan to come back when she turns 100!

Awesome house

Stayed at the house this past weekend with 15 people in our group. We were down for a game weekend in Auburn and the drive is manageable (about 1-1.5 hours). The house is fantastic, tons of room and right on the water. Highly recommended for large groups and we'll definitely be back

Wonderful Stay at Lake Wedowee

We thoroughly enjoyed out stay! Everything was as described, and the host was very responsive in helping us with some of the very minor issues we encountered (finding extra paper towels, etc.). We'd definitely recommend this location to anyone!

Family Reunion at Lake Wedowee

We had a wonderful stay at Lake Wedowee. The property was perfect for our family reunion. Everyone had a wonderful experience at the lake swimming, boating, kayaking, and paddle boarding during our week long stay. The hosts were very responsive and were great about checking in to make sure our needs were met.

Perfect family vacation !

Couldn’t ask for better place for our family of 12. Something for the youngest to oldest. Everything you would need for a real “foody” family. Host was very helpful and quick to respond to questions . Would certainly recommend this property !

Perfect for our large family

We had 23 people stay and this house was perfect! We had an absolute blast during our stay. The host was communicative and easy to get ahold of. We had from age 6 months to over 60 years and it was comfortable for everyone. Would recommend this house to anyone.

Fantastic Family Vacation

The house and grounds were just as we expected and more. The seclusion of the cove fit us perfectly. The children could play in the water without the worry of a jet ski or boat flying thru. The host was phenomenal. He rapidly replied to any questions or concerns. Fantastic vacation.

PARADISE FOR LARGE GROUPS

The surroundings are private and beautiful. The house has everything necessary for a large group such as a multi-generation family reunion. The kitchen has PLENTY of plates, bowls, glasses, flatware, etc + every cooking utensil/baking dish we could think of. The miltiple living areas made it possible for different age groups to do their own thing. Morning coffee can be enjoyed on one of the porches overlooking the lake and trees. Bird watching is great; a great heron visited the dock for a couple of hours one day. Our group loved the fact that there was room for everybody at one table. Also, Christmas in July was our theme this year so the Christmas tree was great for our Chinese gift exchange and singing. This property can't be beat for a beautiful setting offering everything a large group needs .
