Down on the Farm
We (2 seniors and 3 girls - 5 to 11) had the BEST week at the Farm Barn. We were enchanted with the baby pigs and goats, the swing was a huge hit and Farmer Steve was patient and allowed the girls to help him.
We will never forget our week. Thank you.
It was hot part of the week and not having A/C made it sticky but it truly was the only negative. And we would not have traded the experience.

Great Family Get-away
Jean and Steve’s farmhouse is the perfect family get-away! Being just a short drive to Ashville and peaceful drive to the ski slopes, this lovely farmhouse offers an escape while still allowing you to be connected to the city and other attractions. The baby goats and piglets are adorable, but their handsome farm cat, Manoosh was the highlight of our stay! Jean has a gift for hospitality and Steve is a talented photographer. Your stay will certainly be enhanced by these gifts!

Perfect getaway
Everything was just as pictured. Cute little place in a peaceful location. Had everything we needed. Plenty of space for our group of 5 including 3 teenagers. Good wifi and TV options if you need them. Super clean and appreciated how well-marked everything was. Kids loved the animals, and we appreciated the fresh eggs!
Not too far from Asheville at all - 15 minute drive. The little town of Weaverville was very close with restaurants and cute shops. Good hiking nearby as well. We chose to drive down to the "popular" waterfall spots and drive the Blue Ridge Parkway - that was about an hour away. But you definitely wouldn't have to - there is plenty to do within 15-20 minutes and we appreciated the peacefulness of being out of the way. We would definitely stay here again!

Fun times
We stayed Jeans place for 5 nights while enjoying the Asheville area. Everything was as advertised. We needed an extra large pot to cook a meal in and Jean was happy to bring one over from her place right away. The animals were fun for the kids and the swing was a big hit. We would definitely stay again.

Absolutely beautiful farmhouse and property!
This is truly a special place! As advertised we were greeted by the piggies and goats and had fresh eggs. What’s not advertised is the hospitality and availability of Jean and Steve and the love and attention they’ve put into the farmhouse. It’s beautifully decorated, rustic but with all necessary updates, and generally an incredibly peaceful place to be. We will be returning as often as possible!

Delightful visit !
Our entire family gathered in Weaverville for the weekend, and we overflowed to the AirB&B to make life easier to manage "the littles" who required early bedtimes and naps. They were so enamored (as were the adults) with the little goats and baby pigs that it will definitely be on our list of favored accommodations! Thanks for a great stay!

Do Yourself A Favor…
Want to know where heaven on Earth is? It’s here at Fox Cove. I don’t even know where to begin.
It’s tucked away nice and quiet away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to Asheville where it’s convenient. It’s so quiet here which was nice for us coming from South Florida!
When you arrive - you are greeted by the welcome crew - the little herd of goats and piggies that reside here.
The house is roomie! Everything you need is there all you have to do is put your things away, grab your groceries and let your vacation begin!
Beds are comfortable! Lots of windows to open up to the outside world of peaceful nature and allow the breezy mountain air in! We would venture out during the day but always just wanted to come back to hang out with the goats and piggies! They love to roam and come say hi!
Made s’mores on the fire pit! Watched the fire flies at night! Even was visited daily by bunnies and a doe! Beautiful plants everywhere! It’s cozy and roomy enough for everyone to have their space!
The hosts are amazing! So friendly and accommodating! I can’t say enough of this place and we will definitely be back! We felt like we just belonged there 😊

Perfect Stay
The greetings by the goats and piglets were great every time. Jean left us a dozen fresh eggs that were enjoyed in a single breakfast. We had 8 for one night and 7 the second night, plenty of room. All communications were accurate and timely, would highly recommend to anyone else.

We loved everything about this sweet place. The cabin is immaculate, fluffy towels, comfy bedding, even the shampoo and conditioner was exceptional. The goat and pigs were fun to play with. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Love this Asheville-area getaway!
This home is the perfect place to stay outside Asheville and Weaverville! We were hoping to be outside a bit more than we were (rain didn’t allow us to go on any hikes), but we got to visit with the precious farm animals, and we were more than happy to cozy up inside! The interior is beautiful and so homey. Everyone particularly noted how comfortable the beds were! The hosts gave us farm fresh eggs before we arrived. We saw them in passing and mentioned how great they were, and they surprised us with more! Excellent hosts, excellent stay. We will be back as soon as we can!

A Five-Star Farm Stay: Rustic Charm, Playful Animals, and Farm-to-Table Delights Near Asheville, NC
We recently had the most delightful stay at a rustic farm house just minutes away from downtown Asheville, NC. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the charm of the farm and its serene surroundings.
The highlight of our trip was definitely the opportunity to play with the adorable baby piglets and goats. It was an unforgettable experience to interact with these friendly animals and see them frolic around the farm. The owners were incredibly kind and knowledgeable, giving us insight into the farm life and allowing us to get up close and personal with the animals.
The farm also had a beautiful trail on the property that we thoroughly enjoyed hiking. It was a perfect way to immerse ourselves in nature and take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The peacefulness of the trail made it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
One of the many highlights of our stay was the farm fresh eggs that were provided for us. There's nothing quite like the taste of eggs straight from the coop, and we relished every bite. The farm-to-table experience was a true treat for our taste buds, and we appreciated the farm's commitment to sustainability and locally sourced food.
Despite the farm's secluded location, it was conveniently located just minutes away from downtown Asheville. We were able to easily explore the vibrant city with its unique shops, delicious restaurants, and lively arts scene. It was the perfect balance of rural tranquility and urban excitement.
The rustic farm house itself was cozy and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay. We loved waking up to the sound of nature, watching the sunset over the mountains, and stargazing at night. It truly felt like a home away from home.
Overall, our stay at the rustic farm house was an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend it for anyone looking to connect with nature, enjoy farm life, and still have easy access to the lively city of Asheville. The warm hospitality of the owners, the charming farm animals, the farm fresh eggs, and the serene surroundings made our stay truly exceptional. We can't wait to return for another visit!

I wish I lived here!
We had an amazing stay at Steve & Jean's farm. The house was right up my alley, parts of it were built in the 1800s. It had charm and was cozy but did not miss any of the comforts of home. The owners have put some really great finishing touches on it- diffusers, salt lamp, fizzy water- that really made me feel so welcome. And then there are the animals. They are so cute and my kids and I all had fun feeding them and watching them. Steve was very patient with my kids, answering all the questions they had. The property itself is gorgeous and we enjoyed hiking on it. My family and I came to unplug and it was so easy to send the kids out the door to play on the playset and swing. If you are looking to get away from the everyday, this is your place!

Pure paradise
The master bedroom feels like a treehouse in the canopy of a weeping willow.
Sunsets over the Mountain Views, moonlight coming through the master skylight, the breeze on the balcony blows through the willow and the jasmine in my mind!
And the farm animals! The owners introduced us to the farm and our children had the time of their lives!

Pastoral Paradise
I literally felt my high blood pressure go down as we drove up the winding gravel driveway to this historic farmhouse set among pastures of friendly farm animals. Upon arrival, we were delighted by a basket of farm-fresh eggs from our hosts’ free-range chickens. I have never tasted eggs so delicious, or seen yolks so bright orange - possibly because these eggs might come from the happiest hens in the world. On one of our morning hikes on the private trail that runs through the property, we were greeted by the lovely ladies who laid these eggs and saw that their coop is decorated with painted neon murals and their very own disco ball. A literal hen party.
The location was perfect for our family - close enough to access all the music and restaurants of Asheville (and also downtown Weaverville, which has a great restaurant and artist-owned businesses), but removed enough to let civilization fall out of consciousness. We started every morning with a private trail hike around the property, where we met some friendly pigs and a herd of goats (several of whom were swollen with late term pregnancies!).
The house was clean, neat and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. I don’t know if it was the comfort of the mattresses or the “white noise” of the peeping frogs that lulled me into dreamland, but we all enjoyed the best sleep of our lives.
Sections of the house were built hundreds of years ago, and you can still see the natural wood and mortar in the walls. Our bucolic getaway was enhanced by all the nature photography hanging on the walls and handmade dishes, bowls and mugs.
I wish there were more stars to give. I highly, highly recommend this property to families, couples or any groups looking to relax in a pastoral paradise.

Beautiful weekend stay
This is an amazing place to stay just outside of Asheville! There were spectacular views all over the house and property, and animals greeted us by the driveway every time we rolled in! It's a beautiful and cozy home and the hosts were kind and communicative, and even recommended us some live music in town (which was really good)! The drive into Asheville was short and easy with beautiful scenery the whole way through, and wasn't a bother at all. We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend this place to anybody looking to spend time in Asheville!
