The apartment itself was excellent, and I had no issues with the stay.However, I was disappointed with the handling of an item that the Waynesville church gave me to create healthy food for children in less advantaged areas (for school lunches) and that I accidentally left behind—a 48-muffin pan that had been given to me for charity work. I contacted the manager to ask if it could be retrieved, or alternatively, if it could be held for me should I book the property again.That way, there was going to be no extra work done by anyone to retrieve it or send it. Unfortunately, I did not receive a clear response to this particular request.I understand that policies may limit what can be done, and I was willing to go over there again and save the extra charges, but I would have appreciated clearer communication and a bit more flexibility given the circumstances. For those of us involved in charity work, even small items, as well as small gestures, matter.
