Unlike many, I do not sleep well in quiet. I knew there was a pub below and my day was a long (8 hours alone at the Warner Studios) & a tiring one so the noise allowed me to fall asleep immediately. I woke up only once when it had gone quiet, very quiet for being on an artery, and that did not stop me from going right back to sleep. The only wrinkle was on leaving. While we did have a helpful guide in the room, it did not include what to do with our keys. Fortunately for me, I did not have an early flight as I had a bag in left luggage and it was a bit before the staff arrived for the day. As Americans, we tend to be put off by unfamiliar surroundings so the walk raises concern. I reminded myself that England is a safe place on the whole (and people do more walking than we do). My heart goes out to those impacted by the recent incident of violence as I saw many of those joyful rowdies going to the match enroute to Watford Junction.

Watfords hidden Gem - The Hyde

Wow such an amazing place to stay, all the staff went above and beyond and were so friendly Room was very modern with everything we needs and was so comfortable having a child with autism can nearly always bring us challenges when staying away but he loved it settled in well - perfect for us was that he could log in to his own Netflix on the TV and chill for the night. Highly recommended place to stay and only a 5 min drive to Happy Potter Studios

Never been to Watford (from US) but took a chance. Turned out to be an amazing place. Cool old UK pub and above, modern chic rooms. Ann Maria was the bartender and hotel host and she was outstanding and a hoot. She treated us like family from the moment she met us. Sean the manager treated us the exact same way. Brought my daughter, son and son in law to the pub and they loved it as well. Walking distance to Watford Junction station and a great little coffee spot called Viento just around the corner.

Amazing luxury room for the price

Amazing room, everything seemed brand new. Spotlessly clean, everything we needed. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Only downside was the noise from the pub downstairs but we were there on a Saturday night when football was on so it would probably be less on any other occasion.

Hidden gem of a place

A hidden gem of a place. Finished to a very high standard sitting sound proofed above a very happening bar with live music. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Although the place is sound proofed, some bass noise but mainly street noise from the windows could be an issue, not an issue really for adults (take ear plugs) but a little difficult with children. Overall though I found it to be to a wonderful standard, mood lighting, a/c in the room and a luxury chic shower room. There is live music on Fridays and Saturdays , I didn’t get a chance to experience but would be awesome to, they also host a carvery on Sundays. Awesome place and the host is wonderful. Thank you

Great stay

Very pleasant stay in this impressive accommodation. I assume it is brand new. Everything was meticulous with a good quality feel to it. Access to the room was keyless and via a phone app which was a first for me, but after some explanation on site, all ran smoothly. The room and bathroom were beautiful with great attention to detail. I stayed in room 2 (there were 4 rooms). Coffee and tea making facilities, huge tv. A huge but welcome contrast from what I was expecting as the pub below does not look as luxury. Probably worth enquiring about parking as that was the only difficulty for me (finding nearby parking)
