The Ritz-Carlton Georgetown, Washington, D.C.5.0 out of 5.0

The owner should fire the managers. ALL OF THEM. Get all new people. Tell them that never answering any phone call to any department is bad. Seems like a simple concept. But not there. And the front desk manager knowing a few words of English would also be helpful.
I often stay at the Ritz Carlton and am never disappointed. The Georgetown Ritz was exceptional. The staff was wonderful, very knowledgeable, kind and attentive. If you have the opportunity to interact with Martin, Cedric or Luis, take advantage, they were fantastic. I will be back in the Spring!
Great boutique-size Ritz Carlton, terrific location and quality service as expected. Warm and inviting lobby with over-size fireplace (great for wintertime travel). Walk to great Georgetown restaurants and shopping on M Street NW.
From the minute we pulled up until the time we pulled away excellent service! The hotel was very crowded when we arrived but you would never know it from the outstanding service we received! From our immediate check in with upgrade to the beautiful suite we enjoyed. We stopped in the lobby for a drink and snack, food was excellent and we enjoyed the ambience of the lobby with the gorgeous Christmas tree. Room service was quick and delicious. We look forward to going back. Also excellent location
We have always been a big fan of Ritz Carlton properties and recently stayed at the RC-Georgetown property in DC. RC provides exceptional service that we have come to truly admire. I wanted to mention Diego at the front desk who could not have been nicer when we registered, Filandro in catering took time to give me a history lesson regarding the incinerator which is part of the beautiful architecture of the property and Debbie in the bar who provided us additional wine glasses for our suite while we were entertaining some local guests. The location is ideal, having lived in DC for part of my life years ago it allowed us a chance to walk around the area without needing a vehicle and return to a warm/cozy wonderfully holiday decorated lobby. We are already planning to book again next year when returning for the holidays.
This is a hidden gem, nestled just off the main in Georgetown. Reminiscent of a lovely European bistro hotel, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable and did everything in their power to make our stay enjoyable. The room was gorgeous, temp could be set appropriately on the thermostat bed was comfortable. We needed transportation to and from the Kennedy Center, and the driver they booked for us took us, and then picked us up, then waited while we had a bite to eat. Drinks in the lobby were excellent. Location is lovely. Can not recommend this property highly enough. Do yourself a favor and try this place next time you want to be a little off the beaten path, but not too far. Nice to be pampered once in awhile.
All the standard elements you'd expect from a RC. Exceptional aspect is the architecture deriving from the old industrial complex. Rooms are comfortable, and service is par for the brand (although I did not test it deeply as I'm usually in and out). Biggest downside is the location as it is a bit farther away from my meetings. However, if you're going to DC to be near Georgetown, location is a plus.
The best staff I have ever seen in one place. Each employee took extra time to be helpful and friendly. No opportunity is ever lost to be helpful and friendly. The location is close to everything. Visit this hotel for a memorable experience.
The location of this Ritz is probably the best in all of DC. It is located in the heart of the most famous neighborhood, Georgetown. The waterfront is blocks away. There is a movie theater, lots of fine restaurants, the river, and M street shopping is within easy walk. I booked through American Express Platinum and was given a great upgrade by the reception. The reception was pretty professional and friendly. They greet you immediately and offer you a bottle of water or a hot drink. The staff were always smiling. The hotel is not very big. To get to the rooms, one has walk in a dungeon like corridor. This is probably because of the historical location. There is a spa on the bottom floor. I think this hotel is good for families and I did see many families in the lobby area. The hotel has a home feeling to it, with the fireplace and intimate seating. The DC area tourist attractions can all be walked to, if one wants to. Or a short cab ride away. Really enjoyed my stay and hope to replicate this experience pretty soon.
I really enjoyed my stay at The Ritz-Carlton. The staff were very friendly and the room was wonderful. I only wish they could provide transportation services as well as pick up from nearby events however there are other services available in the area.
