Food was amazing! Beautiful hotel! Friendly staff. I had an accessible room with a roll in shower. When I took a shower all of the water was flowing into the bathroom. I was moving the shower head around to fix the problem, but it didn't work. Used up all my towels to soak up the water, but there was still a ton in the bathroom. I called the front desk and staff was super nice + helpful in getting the water all cleaned up. It was a bit of a mess late at night, but everyone was so helpful.

It was very convenient for the people I was visiting. I would stay again but avoid Rake.

The hotel is a very lively experience. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. The gym is way better than the usual hotel gym experience, which is something I appreciate. The location is great for walking around to cafes, restaurants and bars. I would have loved the property except the fire alarm went off at 6 a.m two days, and around 9 a.m another. I'd get that fixed ASAP! Other than that, it was a great place to stay.

Snazzy lobby, spacious room, nice bathroom, and comfortable bed. However there were a few glitches. First, the knob of one of the drawers came off the minute we tried to open it. They sent someone from maintenance to fix it. Also, twice our room key failed to work, so each time someone had to fix that. Also, it lacks a few things I expect to find in a classy hotel. The bathroom has no make up mirror, the hotel has no business center, and there no place in the lobby to sit and have coffee (unless you want to sit at a communal table filled with millennials on laptops). They also wouldn’t let us sit at a table in the bar and have a drink with some friends we invited to join us because, they said, all the tables were reserved for dinner, even though it was only 5:30 pm and there’s were dozens of empty tables. In fact, they were all empty. Odd.

Oh my goodness what a gem of a hotel,,i give it 10☆,i was blown away from the minute i dove up,it was 8pm the place was lit up,i had to start taking pics, the location, the food, the room, crisp sheets, fab bed and my code is..any hotel offereng fresh cooked breakfast, bathrobes, slippers, umbrella is a winner for me,last of all it was so cheap, maybe i got lucky.

Loved everything about this place. Amazing stay! The gym was off the hook!

We love staying at the Line Hotel in DC. It is like coming home. Rooms are great and comfy. The staff is bend over backwards welcoming and great. One of the best guest experiences I've ever had.

Hardwood floors and old charm but modern feel made it feel like I was in my own bedroom. Didn’t have that ‘hotel’ feel to it. I could have stayed a month or two and not gotten tired of the room or hotel restaurant and coffee bar.

Beautiful design. Delicious food. Thoughtful & accommodating staff. At times service was a bit slow, but I'm confident it will get smoother over time.

Sorry to learn you didn't enjoy your meal at A Rake's Progress, we have two other fantastic restaurant choices on property to try during your next visit.

Ugh.... sorry to learn about the issues with your knob and room key. We hope we can welcome you back in the future for a better stay. Your experience in our lobby bar and restaurant does sound odd (we will be sure to follow up on this with our team.)

Okay, so we are so happy you loved us, but we have to ask where was this photo taken? Whose English Basement is this? How do we buy that super cute coffee table? Come back soon!
