A huge clean room in a great location. Front desk staff, valet, and concierge were wonderful. Considering how much money I spent to stay here I was a little disappointment the complementary beverages in the lobby were frequently lacking--i.e. there was supposed to be hot toddies/hot cider and it was almost never there. But I guess that's a minor qualm, overall, everything else was excellent--only reason I wouldn't stay there again is the expense, it's a once in a GREAT while thing I'd spend that much on a hotel room in DC.

The Capella is everything we expect from a top hotel: excellent service, location and room. As soon as I booked, I was contacted by the concierge desk, who helped me find restaurants to our taste and book them. The whole staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable. The flexible check in and check out times were very handy that weekend, with bad weather interrupting plans. The room was very elegantly decorated, with touchscreen control of everything from shades to lights. The TV actually had a dedicated DVR, if we cared to record something during our stay (aside: DVR...great idea, especially for business trips...why the heck isn't that more common?). The Capella is simply the best hotel we have attended in DC. Highly recommended.

The location was everything about this hotel. Weather permitting the walk down to the shore is the best thing Georgetown offers. Catching movies at the AMC theatre then treating yourselves with the icecream shop next door would be a perfect date.

The hotel is beautiful, the staff is very attentive, and food great. There was an issue with hot water in the room that was addressed immediately.

I travel around the globe and this hotel stands out in regards to "personal" service. The staff (entire) makes sure they know you by name and they are available for anything required to make your stay comfortable, productive and fun -- beyond the call of duty.

The Capella is the most friendly and personal Hotel we have ever stayed in. The staff very sincere, helpful and truly go out of their way for your benefit. (I've never seen anybody run up the street and hail a taxi for you!) The property is located in a quiet and serene corner of Georgetown; yet accessible to all the sites of downtown Washington, by personal/public transport; All the sites are just a short distance away. The Capella is as advertised, no let downs - the room, hotel and staff are first class
