A fabulous getaway filled with luxury and comfort. The canal view room was lovely and quiet. The bed and linens were incredibly comfortable. The rainfall faucet in the spacious shower was relaxing with high ceilings for tall guests and superbly instant hot water. The softest bathrobe is waiting for you when you are done. The roof top deck, though too cold for our stay, boasts city and river views for a little breathing room above the bustling sidewalks. The Rye Bar oysters and drinks are perfect for pre-dinner plans. And freshly baked cookies and icy milk before bed are definitely the way to go. Special thanks to Patrick and the entire team for making our night away special. We will be back!
Great hotel! The staff are truly engaging and genuine. Everyone I encountered had a smile and pleasant greeting. I loved the hotel design, the amenities, the bar and location. Enjoyed having drinks and playing Scrabble in the private hotel guests only lobby. Cozy and a great way to wind down from a long day walking the city. Rye Bar is a happening scene and hotel's location cannot get any better in Georgetown.
What a wonderful hotel, unbeatable location and the food is fantastic, try the breakfast smoked salmon bagel. The steak is just the best for dinner. All the shopping in Georgetown is within easy reach. Definitely be back
The Rosewood is beautiful and luxurious! Being locals, we went there for dinner and drinks on a lovely summer evening. The location in Georgetown is absolutely premier. It is steps away from all the best shopping and the rooftop view cannot be beat. Their bartender made the best Old Fashioned I have ever had and I also loved their sparkling Rose. The food was great too! I can't wait to go back!
Amazing trip-service was great-food was fantastic-we enjoyed the hotel-perfect location for shopping an d restaurants in Georgetown- and close to the waterfront for other great restaurants.- close to great stores
Excellent the staff was extremely helpful and provide and friend outstanding customer service . I would highly the Rosewood Hotel for couples who like to spend a short weekend here in DC. Especially if you do not like driving a lot . All the enjoyments of DC are within walking distance or public transportation . It was a great weekend ! Thank you and hats off to your excellent staff especially the up grade on our room due faulty bathtub .
My wife and I just had a most memorable stay at this outstanding boutique hotel. The rooms were immaculate and spacious, the service was second to none, and the ambiance of the hotel is both chic and old world at the same time. We visit our son in Georgetown frequently and always look forward to our stay at the Rosewood, I have no problem recommending this fine hotel, you will not be disappointed.
I travel to DC frequently and have stayed at this hotel 16 times the past few years I believe. It is hands down my favorite hotel in DC. From the bell men and women who greet you to those at check in, they could not be friendlier, more helpful and eminently professional. The restaurant and lounge staff are top shelf in every respect as well. I always love my room. The Rosewood is managed to perfection. I enjoy my stays there a very great deal.
I did too much research and reading of reviews for our first visit to DC - wanted a special location for our anniversary, but my husband does not much like hotels (especially long hallways and large buildings) This is not great on our budget, as it leads me to more boutique properties. When I found the Rosewood, it seemed like it would be a good option. We could not have been happier - It was everything I anticipated and more! The staff was welcoming, and the character of the hotel was refined, classy, yet relaxed and oh so comfortable. We loved the breakfasts (I became addicted to the avocado toast). We had dinner one night at the Grill Room - probably the best rib-eye I've ever had. We took the remainder of our lovely bottle of wine back to the room, and enjoyed it the next night on the roof deck - didn't have enough time to enjoy this area as much as we would have liked - it's a lovely space! We had a King room with fabulous bed, great lighting controls, easy to adjust room temp, and a luxurious and functional bath. Plenty of great restaurant options nearby, and we mostly used the circulator busses to reach the metro - easy access to everything. This hotel was a bit of a splurge for us, but so worth it. I would return in a heartbeat!
Not only have I come to recognize the Rosewood brand to be a company with superior service and hospitality but I couldn't be more fond of the team at the DC/Georgetown property. I was taken care of beyond my expectations. Prior to arrival the team reached out to ensure all my needs were met prior to checking in. My travel was both business and personal and on both levels I was extended courteous service and attention to my needs. From taking a corporate conference call in my room without interruption to enjoying time with my son at the roof top pool and restaurant patio were absolutely lovely. I enjoyed the Caesar Salad with an incredibly grilled baby chicken, WOW! I cant say enough about the bell staff, front desk (intimate and personalized) to the restaurant and housekeeping team were all spot on!
