The staff was cordial enough. The Continental Breakfast was okay at best. The room was fine with minor but ignorable wear and tear. Free HBO was nice though.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for 3 days. They did not clean the room or replace the towels when we asked them (or when indicated by the door sign). When we asked the front staff, they said it wasnt their fault and 'its the Day Shift's fault'. Very unprofessional. Do not stay at this hotel unless you want bad service.

It was in a bad and kind of unsafe area of dc. It is a 15 minute walk away from the nearest metro, and you have to walk along the freeway on a dirat road. The internet connection was bad in my room. But you get what you pay for right?

If you need a roof over your head and at a good deal this place is perfect. It is not fancy or a 5-star but its close to the heart of DC.

Not a bad hotel, good price for an overnight stay.

Location was great. Place looked a little too dim due to lack of lighting but interior was great.

Nothing special. Travel with our dog. Been disappointed at a few places with M6. Tried this chain but not much better, A cut above but only a small slice. Breakfast not much - good if you enjoy doughnuts for a meal.

There was cockroaches in the room. The lock didn't work at first, I had to have someone come and show me that the door had to be slammed just to shut. The neighborhood is clsoe, but not neccesarily a comfortable one to walk through, and there was no place to cross the street, no walk or light, but a busy bi-way instead to cross.

The carpet and bathroom were not clean. It was a motel type room, right off the parking lot. The neighborhood did not seem very safe and there was construction that made it difficult to get to area restaurants. There was no pool or amenities other than a cold breakfast in a small lobby. Everything seemed dingy and dirty.

When I read people's review about how bad the customer service was, I totally disagreed with them. We got off at Jamaica train station and tried to get a cab around 2 AM with cold and wet weather, and we called the hotel and the front desk lady was kind enough to get us a cab. And they were easy to talk with. NYer are some rude, but that doesn't mean that you need to be rude also. When you expect people to be nice to you, then you should be nice to them as well. that's all I gotta say. Room is clean, eventhough the area was really not a place to walk in the middle of the night. I would not recommend this for family vacation. You'd rather to pay a little higher price to stay closer to city. Overall is OK

SO FAR FROM THE SUBWAY, NO BUS STOP NEAR... REALLY INSECURE ZONE TO WALK AT THE NIGHT..YOU HAVE TO WALK ABOUT 5 BLOCKS FROM THE SUBWAY STATION. IF YOU HAVE A CAR, THAT IS NOT A PROBLEM, THE HOTEL WAS CLEAN... THE ROOM SAYS NO SMOKER, BUT SMELLS LIKE IT WAS FOR SMOKERS... BATHROOM CLEAN, BREAKFAST ITS NOT SO GREAT BUT ITS OK FOR THE MONEY YOU PAY. IF YOU DONT WANT TO RENT A CAR AND USE ONLY THE SUBWAY, ITS NOT FOR YOU, IN THE SAME LOCATION, BETTER STAY AT MARRIOT HOTEL, NEXT TO THE SUBWAY STATION, YOU CAN GO LATE AND ITS NOT A PROBLEM BECAUSE THE MARRIOT HOTEL IS AT 10 STEPS FROM THE EXIT OF THE SUBWAY... THE HOWARD JHONSON.....5 BLOCKS AT AN INSECURE ROAD AT NIGHT.

hotel is convenient to monuments & museums but we would not recommend it

The website of [...] and Howard Johnson said that I would have a King size bed and that there was a pool. The hotel does not have King size beds. The pool is permanently closed and the hotel is full of Roaches. The neighborhood is not safe to walk in according to all the people we talked to. We had them spray the room after the first night and still had roaches on the walls. [...]would not relocate us and apply our payment to another hotel. We payed in advance and could not afford to pay again and wait the three to five busness days for a credit to appear on our card.

Not too close to the major monuments, and with traffic, construction in the area, and the police directing you it takes more than 3-5 minutes to get to the major attractions. There were no trash bags in the room and it smelled musty, as if it had not been open in several months. There were termintes (?) in the room and the toilet was broken. The staff was friendly and offered me a plunger to fix the toilet, but that wasn't what the toilet needed. The wireless internet never worked and the cable/TV had horrible reception. Breakfast seemed to be with whoever walked in there off the street and the neighborhood seemed to be in a 'rougher' part of town. Save yourself the headache and disgust and stay somewhere else.

really enjoy it and feel safe and confortable. I am definitely planning on going back on next trip in DC.

Hotel was in a bad part of Washington D.C. with crack heads hanging in the parking lot.

The staff was friendly enough but the hotel room was noisy. There was a break in of two cars on the second nite.

It is fine

I had a 1 night stay here. It was a very clean and well kept room. If it were in a better location, it would have been a steal of a deal! the location was less than desirable, but I have no complaints about the room.

Terrible location - room was nasty. Only stayed about an hour - Was scared the whole time we were there.
