The property was excellent. New and very clean. The balcony was awesome. And the staff was great. Always nice, helpful and accommodating. The only 2 things that I would comment on is the noise and sirens at night made it difficult to sleep. And the location was not the safest. Pretty much every taxi & Uber driver told us they really didn’t like driving to this area d/t the traffic and it being unsafe. If it weren’t for those 2 things we really loved the place.
Sonder is a favorite of mine! Anywhere I go I check for a Sonder property because you can ensure that the property will be nice, clean, and easy access. This new property in DC inside was no different. The suite was a great size and very accommodating no matter how long you plan on staying. However being an avid staycationer in the area and resident. This area is not somewhere I would typically book a room nor would I recommend someone else to. It is a high crime area in the day time and night. There’s not many places to walk to and enjoy yourself and I wouldn’t even recommend walking around especially at night. Even though the area is being slowly transformed, the price point for this place does not match; specifically due to the nature of the area. Love Sonder and their properties but depending on my plans I may not stay here again.
