Kimpton Hotel Palomar Washington DC

4.5 out of 5.0

Hotel deserves a very high rating. Rooms were immaculate and staff was amazing. There was always someone to open the door or get us a cab. The location was also perfect. Close enough to Dupont Circle to get a Metro or good meal but far enough way that traffic and noise wasn't an issue. This is all on top of the standard Kimpton experience. Would definitely go back.

I recently stayed at the Palomar for an entire week for work and loved it. Their gym (cleverly called "sculpting room" was pristine, well-maintained and empty. Our room somehow got turned over every time we stepped out and Dannyboy at the desk was very accommodating with our check-out and when we wanted to buy a room for friends or ours as well.

The hotel staff was great. Super friendly. My kids and I had a very nice 4 night visit to DC. I would stay again.

We had a great experience with this hotel. It was our son's birthday and we let them know ahead of time and when we arrived they had treats for him! The hotel room was very spacious, great décor and comfortable. The only thing wrong with it was the noise level from other rooms and the hallway.

This is our second time staying at a Kimpton Hotel and it was great. Love the wine happy hour and the staff was very nice and helpful. We will always look for a Palomar everywhere we go.

The room was huge and they a provided yoga/Pilates mat and DVD, which I actually had room to use! They offer to bring you any kind of toiletry you may have forgotten, complimentary! Dinner at the restaurant was delicious, and all staff were welcoming.

The hotel was superb, didn't appreciate added hotel fees.

The hotel was nice very fashionable and clean. Only critique was that I couldn't get a coffee in the lobby before 7 AM (the coffee shop next to the hotel opens at 6:30 AM as a compromise). The restaurant in the hotel was visually appealing and the drinks were excellent, however I would strongly suggest limiting your dining experience to only drinks. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel for its location, looks, cleanliness, and style.

Our overall experience was great. We enjoyed this trip to the max.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations in every aspect. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was incredible, and the location was simply perfect. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to DC. In fact, I may have to make the Palomar Hotel my go-to place in the future!!

WAS VERY GOOD THE EXPERIENCE IN THE HOTEL PALOMAR. I WILL COME BACK IF WE TRAVEL TO WDC AGAIN

The hotel was beautiful! Clean, trendy, comfortable and located in one of the nicest areas-DuPont Circle. Staff was polite, courteous and helpful. The on-site restaurant was outstanding in quality of food and service. Only negative we experienced is the pool closes too early in the evening. Everything else was near perfect!

Clean, chic, and nice staff. Lots of bars and places to go out. Our favorite part of the stay was the hot tub and the cheetah and zebra print robes.

A nice getaway hotel - a very interesting happy hour in the lobby.

I loved this hotel! I will go over again and again!

The staff is fab fab fab!!!! They are attentive and the restaurant has a beautiful brunch

Everything about the Palomar helped ease the pain of not being able to keep a scheduled trip to Miami due to snow...the staff was wonderful and the room was fantastic! From the moment I arrived until I left on Sunday, they went out of their way to make my stay pleasant. I live in DC, but staying here made being stuck in the snow because of a flight cancellation much, much more bearable!

Clean, roomy & comfortable ! Great staff ! Located near all major sites and about 15 min to a lot of nice restaurants.

The motion spa room was very nice, with a big Jacuzzi tub for two. My husband and I enjoyed a staycation anniversary celebration there. The wine happy hour is very nice, they also served small appetizers and hot toddies, perfect for an extremely cold day!

Wonderful hotel, especially for the price. The staff was friendly and service minded.
