The place itself was nice. The beds were comfy. The shades by the kitchen were broken and would not go down, but we had most of what we needed. Where things fell apart was the area. Every night there were sirens going off. Another nightly event were the gunshots. Three of the five nights that we stayed, they were too close for comfort. We saw a shootout and people running from it. It was just one block from where we were. There were people passed out in front of the building, and drug deals to the left.100% not family friendly. We asked for different accommodations, and were told that they had none, no refund would be given, and this is how DC is. I have stayed there before. I love DC. I just wanted a change from a hotel.
