Whoever designed the hotel did a good job. Matchstick-box rooms are fine. It's clean and you have all you need albeit minimal. But cutting corners is too much. Not a single glass in the room-not even a disposable, is the least of it. Removng tv remote, unnecessary. But it gets worse. The faucet is dripping a string of water; why would you cut back on hot water? The air-condition is none existing. I shivered every night, got cold and shivered more. The thing about high tech/low cost combination; often times it doesn't work; I increased the temperature on the iPad but it wouldn't do anything. Staff promised better heat but never happened. Also when I arrived, high-tech check in wasn't working so even though they had rooms I couldn't check in and had to change for my meetings in the bathroom. And Everytime you got out of your room, staff had to escort you back to open room's door. Overall, the ingredients are there and with better management this could be a thing but it's not there yet and greed is its main barrier. If they keep cutting corners, this will not survive.

I want to like this hotel, but I can't recommend it. I knew the rooms would be small, and that didn't bother me, since it is a budget hotel. What really bothered me was a complete lack of complimentary coffee. I am an early riser, and I had to go to the lobby at 5AM in my PJs to pay $5 for a subpar Americano. They should really put out filter coffee free of charge or put coffee makers in the rooms like every other hotel does.
