Charming flat in the heart of Historic Old Town

Located in a notable historic building in the heart of vibrant Old Town, this two-bedroom flat is a unique blend of old and new. Encompassing the entire second floor, the residence features over 1000 square feet of living space - offering plenty of room to gather, relax, work, and play.

The welcoming living room offers comfortable seating and a Roku smart TV. A dramatic exposed brick wall opens to a second living area. This is the perfect spot for playing games, reading a book, doing yoga, or just hanging out.

The open dining room has a large table with seating for up to 10 people. Enjoy a meal, unwind after a day of sight seeing, or set up a workspace.

The bright kitchen features a refrigerator, dishwasher, two burner stove, microwave and breakfast bar with 3 stools. You'll also find a Keurig coffee machine and electric hot water kettle. Of course, you're right above one of the best coffee/gelato shops in town so you could just head downstairs for a pastry and espresso.

Two bedrooms, each with queen size beds, feature lovely views of Old Town. If you're a light sleeper, we have provided white noise machines and ear plugs. Old Town is lively day and night!

The light filled bathroom has a single sink vanity, medicine cabinet for your toiletries, and stand-up shower with complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

The location is unbeatable, with a 92 Walk-Score. The flat is directly across from Market Square where you'll enjoy the Saturday farmer's market and seasonal events, You're just steps from King Street and 2 blocks from the vibrant waterfront. Dining, shopping, and entertainment are literally outside your door. Getting around is so easy. The free trolley stops out front ready to take you up King Street where you can hop on Metro. Walk to the waterfront and catch a water taxi to Georgetown, National's Stadium, the Wharf, or National Harbor.

There is one flight of stairs to climb to the second floor.

Nearby garages are the best option for parking. There is a public parking garage directly across the street at 108 N Fairfax Street for $10/day. There is another public parking garage at 102 N. Union Street. Most street parking is free on Sunday.

Visitor parking passes may be requested *at least 48 hours in advance of stay* and host will need license plate number and state to generate pass. Guest will need to print prior to arrival. Parking passes must be displayed in your window on the passenger side.

This location was perfect for our stay in Old Town Alexandria! The unit was exactly as advertised, and provided a comfortable retreat for us. Being on a second floor of three caused a few noise issues for us, but it subsided once the coffee/ice cream shop on the ground floor closed at 10p. With a bus stop outside the bedroom windows, there was no sleeping in, but who wants to do that considering everything there is to do in the area! The free bus/trolley to the King Street metro station opens the entire DC area up to you from this location. We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed for son’s retirement ceremony from the Air Force and it was the perfect location to meet up with family and friends. Such a clean and welcoming place.

Great location

This was a beautiful flat and great location for adults. The host was very accommodating on check in/out times and the welcome goodies were a welcomed touch. We travelled with our two kids and dog and there was more than enough space. As the listing states, this is a very noisy apartment. The coffee shop downstairs was lovely but it doesn’t close until 10pm on weekends and they blast music until then. There is also a bus stop right out front of the place and you hear the peeping and air compressors until the wee hours of the morning. The sound machines helped but you could still hear everything. Definitely recommend for adults but unfortunately not very suitable for a family with young kids. Our dog is very easy going but I could see if you had an anxious dog this would not be an ideal spot. There is constant knocking from the coffee shop tapping their espresso tools that mimics knocking on the door. Overall a good stay except for the over abundant noise.

Perfect location

We loved our stay at this home, the location was perfect and you can walk to so many good restaurants, bars or shopping. The only warning I will give is that it is very loud in this part of town. The coffee shop below starts making noise around 5:45am and there are street sweepers that go by early in the morning as well. The bars, restaurants and neighbors can all be heard through the walls. They do provide ear plugs that are much needed. Overall we loved our stay.

BEST location ever!

The apartment is in one of the best locations to explore Alexandria and DC! It is right above a gelato and coffee shop as well. The music and conversations from the gelato shop can be heard in the apartment but really we didn’t mind! The employees are very friendly and they play great music :) Overall the apartment was very clean and was exactly like the photos. The trolley stop right out front was ideal for getting by around and it is close enough to walk to the shops and water. We will definitely be back! The host was friendly and easy to get ahold of when needed.
