Avenue Suites

3.5 out of 5.0

The team at Avenue were super responsive to my requests even before I arrived- they answered emails in a timely manner, were personable and accommodating. The same was true for the front desk staff. Location is fabulous- 3 blocks to Foggy Bottom Metro Station, across the street from a Trader Joe's and a stones throw to Georgetown!!!! Can't ask for much better in D.C.

Hotel was convenient and great space. Restaurant needs some organizing.

This hotel has a perfect location: close to Kennedy center, and M street, its very close to Foggy bottom metro station. We stayed in a suite: 2 beds and sofa. The rooms are separated, and there is enough space, both rooms have a TV . There is also a fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator. A grocery store across the street has a variety of grocery products. The hotel staff was very nice.

The hotel room smelled musty. They sprayed with something that gave me headache. In fairness, they offered to move me to another room but I was too tired to move.

Had an awesome stay. Suite is pretty spacious. Location is very ideal.

The hotel was wonderful and nice and clean. I had a great night stayed.

I was excited for my stay here, because it looked like a premium experience, close to where my conference was being held. The lobby area was gorgeous, and the staff were wonderful. From the outside, the hotel appears very trendy and new with color lighting and signage. My room however was a different story. It was extremely dated and crowded with furniture. The kitchen in-unit (which I didn't use) looked like it hadn't been renovated since the 80s. The beds were hard with no mattress topper, and the heating vent was full of black mold. To their credit, the staff quickly cleaned the mold while I was out, though a room change would've been more appropriate as an obvious full abatement and cleaning of mold was needed. Also, the heating/cooling system can only run whatever is turned on for the day, so if it's 60 out and your room is 80 degrees inside, you can't turn on the AC, just turn off the preprogrammed heat and open a window. I probably wouldn't stay here again unless the rooms were completely renovated.

We had a group of 6 so we had two rooms at the end of the hall with a separate privacy door. It was isolated and quiet and we went back and forth between the two rooms easily. The kitchen could use some improvement but we made it work. The staff was very helpful especially Seck. Very charming character.

We were just there for a night but it was a nice night at the hotel. The staff was great very accommodating, and the suite was very nice. No HDMI hook up on the TV though, and the bedroom TV wasn't hooked up at all. But no big deal. Everything else was perfect.

Dropping my daughter off at Howard University, our two night stay was terrific. Many walkable restaurants in Georgetown and a quick and resonable Lyft ride to other parts of the city.

Overall a great stay ! Bed was comfortable and pillows were nice. The shower was nice as well. Only thing is kitchen could be nicer. The stove plates were uneven and the toaster was dirty. Besides that no complaints, I would definitely stay here again. The location was great! Close to everything and a lot of food places to try. Staff was very nice and helpful on best ways to get around. Definitely recommend.

We enjoyed nine days at this hotel. It is so close to Georgetown and great restaurants. Taxis are always available.

Family vacation to D.C. Room accommodations great for kids

It was a pleasent experience to be in this hotel in a quiet, comfortable and clean room. A good place to visit Washington

Hotel staff were excellent. White House was 20 minute walking distance. Rooms were spacious and updated. Would definitely stay here again.

Great accommodations like a small apartment. Stayed the the king suite. Trader Joe's across the street makes for convenient access to healthy and affordable snacks, water, breakfast items. Staff were so friendly and helpful.

Loved our stay! Please be prepared to hunt for parking each day you stay! Hotel does offer parking but it's on a first come first serve basis and it's $42 a day ! Overall though the room was comfy and the hotel staff were very nice!

Room was not clean , no amenities and their air conditioning ( heater) did not work . They refused to fix it and told me they have no spear heater left . I was I thyroid medication and nearly died . HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE .

Room was way too hot and couldn't adjust thermostat.

We chose this hotel for our stay during the inauguration. It is about six block from the Lincoln Memorial and then you are on the mall. With street closures during the inauguration and the "marches" the following day, we did a lot of walking. The hotel is well maintained, and the room was adequate for the family. Two queens and a full size pullout bed gave us enough sleeping area. Only downside is the marble floors in the bathroom, once they get wet, they are tricky to walk on, had to thorn down a towel because the rug gets and stays soggy. But would recommend and definately stay here again while inDC.
