Family vacation to D.C. Room accommodations great for kids

It was a pleasent experience to be in this hotel in a quiet, comfortable and clean room. A good place to visit Washington

Hotel staff were excellent. White House was 20 minute walking distance. Rooms were spacious and updated. Would definitely stay here again.

Great accommodations like a small apartment. Stayed the the king suite. Trader Joe's across the street makes for convenient access to healthy and affordable snacks, water, breakfast items. Staff were so friendly and helpful.

Loved our stay! Please be prepared to hunt for parking each day you stay! Hotel does offer parking but it's on a first come first serve basis and it's $42 a day ! Overall though the room was comfy and the hotel staff were very nice!

Room was not clean , no amenities and their air conditioning ( heater) did not work . They refused to fix it and told me they have no spear heater left . I was I thyroid medication and nearly died . HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE .

Room was way too hot and couldn't adjust thermostat.

We chose this hotel for our stay during the inauguration. It is about six block from the Lincoln Memorial and then you are on the mall. With street closures during the inauguration and the "marches" the following day, we did a lot of walking. The hotel is well maintained, and the room was adequate for the family. Two queens and a full size pullout bed gave us enough sleeping area. Only downside is the marble floors in the bathroom, once they get wet, they are tricky to walk on, had to thorn down a towel because the rug gets and stays soggy. But would recommend and definately stay here again while inDC.

Great stay at a great price for NYE. We booked kinda late and still got a good deal. The staff was kind and helpful and the room was awesome

We stayed there for 5 days at the end of September. The location was perfect, with Metro within a few minutes walk, and Trader Joe's across the street. The suite was spacious and clean. Our only minor complaint would be sound proofing isn't quite what it could be and we could hear loud phone conversations from the room next door. The front desk people were outgoing, helpful and always cheerful.

I chose this hotel for value and location. The hotel is close to the Foggy Bottom metro station which was convenient. I looked for hotels with suites that had two queen size beds in a room and this hotel was pretty much the only one I found. When we got there, they put us in a regular 1 bedroom suite even though I had paid for the premium. I called the front desk and they were able to move us to another room on the 9th floor. Premium rooms are on higher floors and slightly more roomy. If you don't care for these things, just get a regular room. Overall, I liked the hotel and would come back again.

Really close to the cute shops in Georgetown on M street, and about two blocks from Foggy Bottom Metro. You get the benefit of being close to both. Across the street from a Trader Joes. You can also have them stock your room from Trader Joes (there is a kitchen), very nice! The room was spacious, clean but not OCD clean (which I am, and expect). I liked how it was decorated, modern, but the kitchen was probably an afterthought in the reno...however I shouldn't be picky because for the price, it was nice to have a kitchen at all...I would stay there again. I will caution you that you will need valet and they don't have a pull off. So you need to park in front with four ways and run in...at least we did.

The experience was great overall! I will definitely stay here again.

My family stay at this hotel was misleading. The location was excellent due to in the center of everything such as visiting monuments. But the bed frame was broken and manager didn't want to relocate us to different room Instead had us waiting maintenance guy beyond 30 mins. Which he ended up changing our room anyways. Terrible hotel for the price!!

Hotel was great, staff friendly, good location, lots of room! 5 stars

The warm welcome that we received on arrival by my African frontdesk staff was awesome and it continued throughout. Great location and accommodation and would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Avenue Suites was a perfect hotel for our family of 5. The rooms were spacious and a full kitchen was definitely a plus. The hotel is hip and clean. Location in Foggy Bottom near Georgetown is perfect. Happy hour outside was great!! Would absolutely recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at the Avenue Suites. The rooms were very nice clean and well equipped. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. I would recommend it to my friends.

The hotel had everything I wished for, nice clean rooms wonderful customer service. If your visiting DC, your right in the middle of things and there's even a Trader Joe's right across the street for all your food/snack concerns. If I visit DC again, I'm sure going to stay here.

The hotel staff is way friendly which is a very nice touch in DC where rude seems to be the way of the day. This seems to be away from downtown but it only takes a few minutes to be there. The only thing I didn't like was a very hefty fee for parking but at least they have good valets to take care of it. Never waited even 5 minutes for the car and it was warm from being garage kept. There are a couple of fast foods across the street and Trader Joe's too. That was handy as there is a full kitchen. Again I want to say the staff was great. I will stay there again if I find myself in DC.

Good Day N.R: We are thrilled that we have earned enough of a place in your heart to be called a second home. If we could define our goals in simple expression that would be the main feeling we want people to have about us. Come and see us again soon!!

Hello: Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback. You are absolutely correct, DC parking is difficult (even on a good day). That is one of the reasons that we have limited the price to be below what our competitors offer with the same level of services. We thank you for recognizing our team and will make certain to celebrate your comments. Thank You

Hello Seyed: I am terribly sorry that you experienced this situation here. We make no excuses, we struggled to tame the buildings temperatures. What I can say is that, during these uncommon and unprecedented temperature fluctuations, we learned a great deal about how to quickly and efficiently change our system from heat to cool. While we do have some limitations in the timing we have taken this as an opportunity to learn how to operate even better. Please do come see us again so that we can show you what really makes us one of the best in DC. Warmly Aaron Z Wallace Director fo Guest Services
