The stay was nice, but I don't know if I would call this Luxury compare to a normal hotel. A portion of the residences are people who leased the apartment. I was told checking in that they reason they are renting the other rooms out is to lease them to guests for the long term. However, outside a minor sales pitch, there were other factors. The room was nice and a good layout, but it was missing some things, such as nice linens (sheets were really stiff and itchy, and blanket was just a thicker sheet), and reading lights above the bed. However, the walls being so thin was the reason why I didn't get a good night sleep during my stay. Quiet hours start at 11, but that doesn't mean that noise can't be created in the individual rooms. Now, at first, I thought, it's a historic building so yeah, noise will be around. But then thinking about it, this was the tower, which was built a few years ago. So the developer used cheap products to market it off as luxury. Also, you don't have a staff at the front desk, so I just left my key in the room and left, since no one was there at 5AM.

So it’s 3:25am and I can’t get in my room and there is no one on the property. So I’m sitting here looking stupid because my door is locked. Worst hotel ever. Don’t book here

Located in the heart of Dupont Circle, with lots of restaurants/bars/coffee shops around. Beautiful building. Our room was fully furnished, cleaned daily, and included everything needed for cooking and eating in the kitchen. Breakfast was included but was very sparse (mainly snacks). Coffee machine was a big perk, as you could select different kinds of coffee and espresso drinks. Overall a great place!

Property was very clean and modern. Had to request a toaster. They provided a plunger quickly when needed. Unless you're an early riser, there was not much to choose from for breakfast by 8:30 and there was no on around in the dining area to ask if there was more food available.

It was a beautiful property with a great location that was convenient to the subway and other shops and restaurants. My critiques below are minor and definitely weren’t deal breakers. The first is that the room was definitely large enough to accommodate a king sized bed so I’m as to why they only put in a queen sized bed. The second critique is that the amenities didn’t seem to be accounted for in each room, we were told there would be a toaster and a hair dryer in each room, but ours was missing. They were easily requested and replaced though. Overall a great experience!

Amazing kitchen facilities in the apartment. Would be fantastic for a family/friend group who doesn’t want to eat all meals outside. Really enjoyed my stay here.

Property was clean and nice; however, it didn't offer the basic amenities of a hotel. There was no hair dryer, the staff couldn't locate one for me, and my colleague didn't have one in her room either (so i couldn't borrow). I was staying another day and the staff didn't think to bring the hair dryer to the room at all so i'd have it the following day. Additionally, the TV wasn't properly plugged in - I had to call the front desk. And the 2nd day, there was no housekeeping service. A man came by at 7pm and simply said "housekeeping" at the door. As a woman staying alone, I would never open the door that late, especially for a man I don't recognize. I was disappointed with the stay and despite the location and cleanliness, I'm unlikely to stay again.

I like the modern clean look of the rooms, and the fact they had a full kitchen and washer/dryer. I didn't like the fact that multiple times my key/fob didn't work which was annoying when coming to the hotel in the wee hours of the morning and not being able to immediately get in w/o calling the night manager. The rooms need a clock, full length mirror, and an iron/ironing board. Other than that, it was fine.

The greatest flaw is that it is not set up as a hotel but a short-term residence. One overworked leasing agent is running around trying to do a million things at once. Also, although the public spaces are elegant, the rooms are minimal to a fault and feel cheap. The place-and-snap flooring had inch-wide gaps in spots and the cover of the door sensor pad kept popping off every time you touched it. Also, despite reserving a room with "courtyard view," my dad's ground-level room faced a bus stop 10 feet away and there was no way to get privacy without fully closing the shades so that the room felt like a beige mausoleum.

We liked everything about the property. The only problem we had was when we went to check in they did not have our reservation, even though I had the confirmation. We were put in a very small end room, which was they only room they said they had left, and it was nothing like the room pictured on their website. Since we were only there for 2 nights, it was ok, but would not have wanted that room for any longer than that. Continental breakfast was minimal.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to write your feedback about your stay. We sincerely apologize about your experience here at Ampeer. We are staffed 24/7 and our overnight team is responsible for manning the front desk as well as patrolling the entire property. In the event that the overnight team steps away from the desk to patrol the property, we are equipped with mobile devices that allow us to be accessible to guests. Unfortunately on this particular night, there was a glitch in our phone system that prevented calls from getting through. Although our overnight team was able to give you a new room for the night, we understand your frustration and we've refunded your stay due to the inconvenience. Thank you again for your feedback and we hope you give us another chance and we can ensure you have a much more pleasant experience. Best regards, Ampeer Management Team
