Lake Barbee

Very good. 4th of July celebration late into night. GPS directions led us to front of property and we had to figure out which road to take to the back. Cleanliness and communication very good.

Great spot

It was a great spot! We had a great time with family and friends! Great spot by the lakelife bar and grill, we enjoyed the entertainment nightly! The only issue was we couldn't get the temperature in the house at a comfortable level, stayed freezing!! We would definitely stay here again 😁

Perfect for our group

We travel often as a group of friends to events around the country and it is often difficult to find houses that meet our needs (often there are many singles in the group that don't want to share a bed with another person). This house worked perfect! The two bedrooms were perfect for the couples and the bunkroom was perfect for all the guys to stay in. And to say food is nearby is an understatement. It's across the parking lot (and just down the road a ways that you can walk). We got in at 1700 and were starving. We unloaded, got settled, and walked across the parking lot to the restaurant/bar! PERFECT! The directions didn't get us there exactly, but luckily there was a person working at the restaurant that helped guide us to where we needed to be. Overall, it was perfect for our group and if we ever end up out there again, we will stay here!

Overall a great place for many people to stay!

Overall, we had a great experience staying here. The location is great, right next to Barbee Lake, also near Warsaw and Winona Lake. There is a very nice bar & grill restaurant right next door on the lake, and another restaurant in the hotel just down the road. The house was very easy to check into. There were no checkout instructions, which did make us wonder what was expected of us, so we just did our best to clean up after ourselves. Something else that we really appreciated was the game room in the garage. It has a TV, a kayak for the lake, and various yard-style games. It even has a ping pong table, which, despite not being the best quality, was still fun to use. The driveway for the house is a bit tricky to find at first. We initially parked next to the house in the big parking lot, which appeared to be the correct place to park. But someone who was staying in one of the places nearby informed us that the actual driveway was around the corner, a bit obfuscated from the road. So that is something to be aware of. The house itself was nice, and we overall had a good experience staying there. The only complaints we had were: 1) The only available pillows were all too soft and did not provide much support for your head/neck, and 2) some of the sinks did not have soap and/or hand towels. Other than that, we had a great experience here, and we would certainly recommend this location for anyone who has a large party of people needing a place to stay.
