Visited a friend in Walla Walla and wanted to tour wineries. Had visited before, but not able to stay at Marcus Whitman, due to time of year; this time we made a point of reserving early and had an incredibly fine experience! The service, the room, the restaurant and lounge are all first rate and we will definitely stay again!

The rooms, fireplace lounge, restaurant and bar were all very nice. The hotel had several truly excellent examples of WA wine (by the glass) on the drinks list. They also used Reidel Vinum stemware for the wines-by-the-glass selection. An excellent experience for wine lovers trying to explore the WA wine scene. Breakfast was also quite good.

This is a beautiful historic hotel that takes you back in time to a more glamorous era. The hotel staff is friendly, our king-bed room was comfortable, and the complimentary hot buffet breakfast was delicious. This was a high-end experience for a moderate price. The location of the hotel is also very convenient to downtown, and parking is easy.

The hotel is lovely and the rooms are nice and clean. The location is right downtown within walking distance of many restaurants and antique shops.

With the local hotel rates about the same we choose the Whitman because it had few thing we saw as a value, central location to some tasting rooms and a complimentary brunch with our reservation. We stayed in the newer West Wing which was fine, it has an exercise room, places to sit, and covered access to the main hotel and ball rooms. We found the staff very pleasant, the bar was well equipped even had some specialty spirits and plenty of wine. We walked for dinner a few blocks away after talking with Sean the bartender and overall really enjoyed the central location. The morning brunch was pretty amazing with the number of items, the quality of food, and the service, we talked about breakfast for the next 3 days, yeah it was that good!

Excellent accomodations in downtown Walla Walla. Good breakfast was included. Nothing special but good. You should not pass up the gallery of paintings on the second floor which depicts the Whitman Mission tragedy. Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was acceptably quiet through the night.

Lovely hotel and location. Best breakfast in town.

Convenient location to shopping and wine tasting. Room A/C noisy. Dining was OK but not outstanding this time. Staff very responsive!

Did not have to use the car once. Close to tasting rooms and good food. Considered one of the best hotels, if not the best, in Walla Walla. Unfortunately, there aren't many other options. The hotel was clean, a little smelly, but that's expected- it's old! My only complaint is the uncomfortable tiny pillows on the king sized bed. Otherwise, not a terrible stay.

The hotel is right downtown, with wine tasting rooms attached. We had a wonderful, spacious, clean room. Big shower and bathroom. To top it off, we had dinner at their in-house restaurant, The Marc. We went there because it was rated #1 on Trip Advisor. That was great too!

This historic downtown gem didn't disappoint. In particular the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, the central location outstanding and the breakfast buffet excellent.

We enjoyed our stay-thanks! Lounge was not open until 4 and closed at 11 so we didn't get a chance to check it out. Great location and beautiful hotel.

The Marcus Whitman Hotel is beautiful. The staff is excellent. Very clean. The food is slightly above average. You will enjoy your stay. The hotel has excellent accommodations for your dog. The hotel has devoted a row of rooms that open out to a large grassy area for your dog. We can't wait to stay again.

We had a great weekend stay at the Marcus Whitman in the off season in Walla Walla. It was close to some great restaurants and down town wine tasting. If we had stayed at almost any other hotel we would have had to drive to either the vineyards or down town. The hotel had a great staff and had an excellent breakfast and happy hour. There is no pool and fitness center is ok, but I had it to myself, which was nice. If you are going to Walla Walla, outside of a vineyard resort, this is by far the best lodging option.

This is a good hotel located in downtown Walla Walla and close to a number of restaurants and wineries. The rooms are comfortable but nothing special especially considering the price. The restaurant located off the main lobby is a B+ and worth checking out.

The marcus Whitman has a beeatiful lobby and a great restaurant on the ground floor. Not much for room size or view but the rooms are clean and very comfortable.

Front desk staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Diner was a gourmet experience with the best local wine list imaginable and fairly priced. Breakfast was another matter. Only buffet was available with lots of high cholesterol foods.

We stayed at the Marcus Whitman with friends to go wine tasting in Walla Walla. The hotel is really beautiful and the rooms were fantastic. It was off-season when we went so the manager (who was amazing--thanks Jonathan) upgraded us to a suite for $20 more. Everyone was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and the complimentary breakfast was delicious. We have stayed at the Best Western in walla walla before (which was fine), but we are not going back! Loved this hotel.

The Marcus Whitman experience was a pleasure from start to finish. We spent two days during a Walla Walla wine touring vacation and found the accommodations to be clean and extremely comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was a nice start to our day and the staff were outgoing and so helpful. Jonathon was very friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to make our stay a memorable experience. The location was exactly where we wanted to be, easy walking distance to all downtown activities and likewise easy driving to the local wineries and vineyards.

Easy walking distance to restaurants and to Whitman College. Parking is plentiful and easy. Great beds, slept like a log. Breakfast is excellent. Staff is friendly, helpful, and generally outstanding. Elevator is very slow, so we usually used the stairs even though we were on the 4th floor.
