This place is typical of a Hampton Inn. But my main complaint is the cleanliness of the common area. Our rooms were clean although the carpet was stained. But the lobby and main stairs were littered with dirt. The front desk could see the debris on the floor in the lobby area but did nothing all night to clean up. First impression was lasting and not great. Also, no elevator to access second floor.

Was very dissapointed with the room, it had a smell to it as did the halls. I had my grandson come to go swimming and the pool was not heated. The hot tub was broke down and the sauna is now a storage closet. He could not last more than 5 minutes as it was so cold The only thing is it was a cheap price. i have stayed in this motel years ago when it was americinn and it was so nice. Very sad it has gone downhill

We were in Walker for a concert at the casino. There was also some sort of city celebration going on. Rooms were scarce in town and the price reflected this. The room itself was OK, not great. It looked to be just shy of needing a renovation. The TV did not have the Twins game. The room was quiet. Ours was ground floor. There is no elevator to the second floor. There were plenty of plugs for chargers, cpap, etc. There was a fridge and microwave. The pool and Jacuzzi were closed, the reason given was "broken down." They bill themselves as being right downtown and on the waterfront. Downtown starts about two blocks away and the waterfront is at least four blocks away. This wasn't a problem for us, but should be noted. The adjacent restaurant appeared to be closed. Breakfast was OK with waffles, eggs, and similar things. No meat. Check in and check out were fast. OK, but not my first choice in Walker.

We have stayed in 2 of the other motels in Walker on previous trips to fish Leech Lake. On a busy weekend following the July 4 Holiday, we stayed at the Walker Hotel. A pleasant surprise. Our room, No. 103, had 2 queen-sized beds in it, but still had plenty of room in which to move around unlike many newer hotel rooms. Very clean with comfortable beds and reasonably priced. Our only criticisms were the shower-tub and toilet room was very tiny and the breakfast offerings were pretty limited. We will probably stay at the Walker on our next trip.

I spend four nights here while bicycling the Hearland and Paul Bunyan Trails. Great location with close access to the trails. Walking distance to town. Friendly management. Rooms clean. Great restaurant Jimmys steps away. Will stay there again.

Hotel is located on the main drag back from the street. Room was clean, staff was polite and helpful. Easy walk to downtown and the lake, so drivings not needed if you wanted to have some cocktails. Also a short distance to boat and water craft rentals, beach and a convince store. Quit hotel with a light breakfast which ends somewhat early, but next to Jimmys Family Restaurant (5 stars in my book) which stays open to 2 in the afternoon, a real plus if you wanted to sleep in.

This hotel is dated and certainly nothing fancy. Think Super 8 or Red Roof Inn room quality. BUT, it's very clean, staff was friendly, and it's in a good location (walkable to downtown shops, bars, restaurants). No lake view which makes it cheap, or at least cheaper than other properties in town. If you just need a decent place to sleep and shower, this will cover you. Bed and pillow was ok. Shower temperature was great but pressure (water volume) was just ok. Room included refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. No exposed electrical plugs except in bathroom. No closet, but there was a clothes hanger mounted on one side of the bed.

Firstly please excuse for an anonymous review ..... we wouldn't want to have adverts & follow ups. We stayed here for 5 days at the start of May as I had to wait for my cabin to get ready. I was looking for a economical place to stay in & boy did I get lucky!! Your hospitality was beyond expectations! Clean rooms, nice beds, lots of parking space, a lovely pool & hot tub to detox at the end of the day (my hub loved it) & the best one was the breakfast .... what more could we have asked for!! You served several varieties of Hot breakfast, different everyday throughout my stay!! We would call you the Hilton of Walker for the beautiful hospitality shown. Would recommend you for sure. You husband-wife duo are doing a great job. Thanks indeed .... See you guys soon.

During the weekend of April 1st, 2017, our family stayed at the Walker Hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and the rooms were very clean. Breakfast was served at 6:00 AM on the day of our departure and they offered to have it ready sooner if we so desired. Excellent service overall and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a room in the area.

We recently put up most of our family here in order to attend a funeral. The staff could not of been friendlier or more helpful. It's not the fanciest place and in many ways is typical of a older motel, But they give you clean rooms, clean sheets, a clean pool and a fair breakfast. would definitely stay there again.
