Excellent location for visiting the caves. Cabins are well maintained as are the other facilities. Walkable to general store and up to the cave visitor centre. The gentleman on reception was exceptionally welcoming and helpful.

I stayed in a private room with a private bathroom and it was great - large room, hot water, clean! Kitchen was well equipped and very clean and tidy. Fairly basic property, rooms and amenities, but definitely contained everything that was described in the details! All staff were friendly and welcoming and I really enjoyed my stay!

A super clean tidy and perfectly adequate room. We are used to DOC huts tho so anything is luxury to us. Beds we clean and comfy. Room was warm with two heaters. Simple but perfect for our hiking stay

We went to the cave and this was close place. Rooms were nice. We arrived late and had to go to town for food that was about 12 min away. While we were there we found this great handmade baggage store.. Awesome work and nice guy. Don't remember the name but it was next to the only gas station.

Good for the Price Paid

Simple but clean accommodation. Stayed in an upstairs room with a bathroom, lighting on the outdoor steps up to the room was poor at night but otherwise the room was fine for a one night stay. Friendly service at reception on arrival and departure. Had a very good fish burger at the pub next door and hubby had a very good seafood chowder.

The room was comfortable. However, we arrived late and had challenges finding a parking spot near the rooms. Also, the hotel is very close to farmland. I was woken up very early to cows wanting breakfast.
