LOCATION The property is located in a gated community on the western side of Oahu (Cottages at Mauna Olu), with 24 hours security. The community has parks, and a swimming pool and is close to the golf course. There is plenty to do in this sunny town, all within 10 mins drive, including swimming, snorkeling, diving, hiking, and so much more. Depending on the seasons, you could catch sightings of whales, dolphins, and turtles in the ocean. Waianae is 40 minutes from the airport (HNL), 45 minutes from the heart of Waikiki, and an hour from the North Shore. It’s the perfect place to relax after a day of exploration.
QUIET TIME: This is in a gated residential community, please be respectful of our neighbors, no parties, no events, or large gatherings. HOA requires quiet hours 9:00 pm - 8:00 am.
Guest Access: Guests will have access to the entire homes except for a few closets, and cabinets that we have locked.

Very nice place, but fuzzy description of property.
My large family very much enjoyed our stay. But we were extremely disappointed by one factor. The VRBO listing was unclear. The listing said we were renting a home with eight bedrooms and six bathrooms. It turns out that we were actually renting two separate homes that were about 300 yards apart. Upon reading the fine print, it turns out that this detail is disclosed. But it was not clear at all. Most renters assume that they are renting one single home. If we are actually renting two separate homes, this fact should be made very prominent. Our communication with the owner was fine, but this was an incredible disappointment to my family who traveled very far too, be together in one house.
