Impression, not impressed.
On check-in I was not asked for ID or any verification made to ensure it was the correct person for the booking.
First impressions as you enter the room, the nauseating smell of glen20 disinfectant spray. And from there it goes down hill.
There is a discrepancy between the images and information on your Hotels website and the room we stayed in compared to the business website. The room was described as “economy” on your site and “budget” on theirs. Semantically they leave different impressions.
I have attached screenshots of the images shown on your site. They depict 2 very different rooms and a living room . We were able to pick our room from the 2 shown but it was a poor representation of the unattractive painted brick walls and very outdated bathroom. And were was the living room.
The owners website noted there were several rooms still unrennovated. This was missing from the description and information on the Hotels site.
The view from the window was of a graffiti (and not the artistic kind) covered concrete wall of an alleyway and common walk way.
The light on the landing remained on all night.
In the morning we woke to the sound of what sounded like a child screaming which was in fact the sound of the water pipes while our neighbour in the accompanying room was showering. Our own pipes sounded like the basilisk was trying to break through the walls of Hogwarts while the shower itself sprayed water over the whole room.
